Differences in the resolution of sea territories conflicts in areas with energy resources

Energy security is an important phenomenon of the contemporary world. A significant number of oil and gas reserves are located on the seabed. Expansion of oil and gas drilling to deeper and from shore more remote locations can again raise the question of ownership of these deposits. On one hand, there are regions of the world where these disputes over borders of maritime territories escalate into a series of clashes and incidents. On the other hand, there are other areas where states can settle their disputes and cooperate on drilling. The goal of this study is to determine which factors lead to the fact that particularly in the South China Sea disagreement about the boundaries of maritime territories results in the escalation of disputes in comparison with the regions of the North Sea and the Caribbean Sea, where disputes are solved or minimized. These factors are represented by six variables, which are based on three theories: a realist, idealist and constructivist theory of international relations. The first part of this study describes the historical development of current international maritime law with regard to the territorial division of the world's oceans. The legal status and activities of a mediator in the Czech Legal System

This rigorous thesis pursue status of mediator in law order of Czech Republic, analyze current law set up and also points out its flaws. First part of the thesis focus on description of terms, mainly the term registered mediator, list of mediators, followed by supervision of mediators' activities, their qualification and competency as well as the history of mediator, mainly in the United States of America. Second part of the thesis deals with all the rights and obligations, which are outlined in the law system. Next part of the thesis focus on agreements, which are closed during the mediation. In details the thesis deals with agreement on mediation, mediation contract and mediation clauses, even though these are not incorporated in legal order of the Czech Republic. Furthermore this thesis deals with basic principles of mediator's activity, into which we could incorporate independence, objectivity, voluntarily and during the whole process of mediation the commitment of tacitness. Following part deals with responsibilities of mediator, administrative offences and trespassing are analyzed. The sixth part of the thesis is dedicated to four specific areas. Rozhodčí řízení v managementu obchodní činnosti

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of arbitration, as one of the alternative dispute resolutions of business disputes in business activities. The first part explains the theoretical basics of the arbitration proceedings, its legal arrangement and the features to compare the arbitration procedure with the court proceedings. Theoretical knowledge is applied in real cases. This gives the reader an insight into the comparison of the alternatives and the crisis situations at all. These situations represent business disputes for each business entity. Recommendations for business management in business practice are developed based on an analysis and assessed of examples from practice.

Řešení konfliktů v organizaci

The thesis deals with finding out how three companies in Brno solve conflicts in their work teams and their comparison and whether they use mediation as a tool for conflict resolution. Then the thesis deals with overall satisfaction of workers with working conditions in the company. The finding itself is preceded by a theoretical overview of conflict resolution. The findings were carried out by means of conflict analysis and by means of a primary survey for which the technique of questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews were chosen. Subsequently, the results are processed and described at the end of the thesis.

Dispute over construction of the D3 highway in Central Bohemian region

The thesis tries to analyse dispute over path of the D3 highway through locality of Posázaví. Discussion about this topic was talked over in media space for over twenty-five years. Many actors from public, governmental and political sphare participated in the discussion over the time. Thesis use analysis of local press andother other resources to create complex picture of the dispute including actors a their actions wih primary focus on description of argumetns and topics with their developement. Deeper analysis with use of other literature will be inherent. Secondary purpose of the thesis will be describe conflict from historic perspective and name main actors with their arguments.
