System for Sharing Scanners over Network
Richter, Martin ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The purpose of this master's thesis is creation of a system capable of sharing scanners over computer network. The target scanner interfaces are TWAIN and WIA on Microsoft Windows operating system, and SANE on GNU/Linux. C++ programming language, Boost libraries and Qt framework were used to implement the programming part of this work. Several smaller helper libraries were implemented that are useful even outside this work, most notably TWAIN++ framework. The resulting system enables the user to share scanners over network, and scan using any of the aforementioned interfaces.
Design of Portable 3D Scanner
Štigler, Jaroslav ; Rubínová, Dana (referee) ; Sovják, Richard (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor‘s thesis is design of handheld 3D scanner. This scanner belongs in the higher price category. This thesis deals with problems like long working time, watching monitor during scanning, versatility and safety measures from mechanical damage. Ergonomic solution is also very important. This design is based on a simple and functional shaping. Shaping and color solution corresponds with its use in industry. This scanner also can be used in other fields (for example: medical sector, design, archeology, etc.).
Meaurement process automatization of Zener reference
Bábek, Tomáš ; Nováková Zachovalová, Věra (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with metrology specialized to DC voltage. In the begining of thesis is explanation of technical terms from metrology, summarization of units from International System and explanation of the standards and its kinds in the context of metrology. Primary standards of DC voltage based on Zener diodes and Josephson effect are described as well. In cooperation with Czech metrology institute in Brno this work is focused on automatization of measuring Zener reference standards (ZRS). Goal of this project is to automatize the measuring of Zener reference standards and its relationship with Josephson voltage system using scanner. To do this, there is a need to find out offsets, that can develop on scanner's channels. There is a theoretical analysis of measuring made on the scanner and their uncertainties. Aim of the solution is computation of scanner channels offsets using everyday automatic measuring the system of Zener reference standards (ZRS). For measuring the LabView was used and for computing the data from measured values the Matlab was used. This thesis should short the time needed when measuring DC voltage references, measure values of DC voltage standards and set the scanner channels offsets. In the end there is a summarization of offsets measured on individual scanner channels.
Scanning capillary column by color scanner and zones recognition
Wojnar, Petr ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The master’s thesis focuses on creating an application for scanner control through WIA interface. This aplication is used for reading capillary during electrical separation methods in analytic chemistry. Scanned pictures of capillary are possible to process using online application for detection of significant zones within experiment. Offline detection of a set of scanned pictures is also possible. These applications have been created in LabVIEW environment made by National Instruments.
Approaches to the implementation of document imaging systems
Kapicová, Eva ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Vondrouš, Martin (referee)
This thesis is focused on document imaging and describes different approaches to the implementation of document imaging systems. In the first part there is the theoretical background of the document imaging that is supplemented by current statistics. In the first part there are also some remarks on the situation on the Czech market. The second part is based on examinations of different approaches to document imaging systems that were made by Czech companies. The main objective of this thesis is a practical example of selecting an appropriate solution of the document imaging. There are considered three types of approaches to the document imaging: complete outsourcing, in-house outsourcing or a solution of their own. To achieve this goal there is an adequate theoretical basis for the document imaging and an overview of hardware and software support for digitization in the first part of the thesis. TEI method by Forrester Research is used for comparison of the economic impact of the different approaches. The contribution of this thesis is primarily in the description of the state of document imaging in the Czech Republic and also examination of different solutions and approaches to the document imaging. There is also a completion of the theoretical part by a data from current surveys.
