Classrooms with LGBT students: case studies

AJ This diploma thesis deals with secondary school class groups, where are students with a minority sexual orientation/students from the LGBT+ community. In the class collectives, peer relationships and the functioning of this entire class collective is examined with the attitude towards the LGBT community. In this diploma thesis, the focus is on the entire class collectives, not only on students with a minority sexual orientation/from the LGBT+ community or, conversely, students with a heterosexual orientation/cisgender identity. The research was conducted in the form of 2 case studies, specifically, a questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews with a few randomly selected students and semi-structured interviews with class teachers were used. The goal of the research was not only to describe the entire class group, but also to grasp the LGBT+ topic more comprehensively and understand the situation that is based on the presence of a student from the LGBT+ community in the class group - from the point of view of students from the LGBT+ community, as well as students with a majority sexual orientation/identity. The research shows that good or functional peer relationships do not necessarily mean a positive attitude towards the LGBT+ community and vice versa. Students in both class groups...
Theme and Motifs of Sexual Indentity in Selected Novels by Jeanette Winterson

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to analyse selected works by the contemporary British author Jeanette Winterson from the perspective of sexual identity and its construction. Two of her novels will be used for demonstration - Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) and Written On the Body (1992). Apart from the examination of these motifs it will try to discover possible interconnections between them. Main constituents of this thesis are the theoretical part, which provides a brief description of women and lesbian literature in the second half of the 20th century, and the practical part in which the analysis is performed.
Homosexuality and the Catholic Church Teaching

Homosexuality and Teaching of the Catholic Church is a critical analysis of homosexuality as an anthropological phenomenon examined from dogmatic and theological as well as ethical perspective laid down in the Catholic teaching and reviewed in the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on Love in the Family, Amoris laetitia. It confronts particular anthropological approaches towards theoretical and practical problems concerning homosexual orientation with the emphasis put on their compatibility with the Catholic moral doctrine. Searching for a conform personally accepted and positive integration of homosexuality perceived as irregular and difficult situation according to the Christian understanding of integral personal and spiritual growth in relation to a man practicing his Catholic faith is the main task of this diploma thesis.
How women relate to their "virginity loss"

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of virginity loss focusing on its understanding and perception by women of various sexual identifications, because the virginity loss is an important moment in a woman's life. The research is qualitative, with seven women participating - four heterosexual and three non-heterosexual identities aged in the range of 20 - 24 years. Data was collected through interviews via an online platform from March to April 2021. The work focuses on the moment of the first sexual experience, the definition of key terms, ideas and feelings associated with the first sexual experience and the impact on subsequent intimate life. This work is based on existing sociological frameworks, which are described in the theoretical part. It presents that a woman may not perceive first sexual experience as a virginity loss and the virginity loss may not be the beginning of an intimate life. It is necessary to analyze the ideas, definitions and feelings that a woman perceives in connection with the virginity loss and the moment of her first sexual experience to understand the perception of virginity loss.
The issue of transgender.

The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of terms such as sex, gender, gender identity and gender role, transgender. A separate chapter then describes transsexuality as the most serious and the life of the individual most affecting form of the transgender. The chapter focuses on the theory of transsexuality, briefly introduces history, discusses the various stages of gender transformation, and finally puts transsexuality into a social context. The empirical part is then focused on mapping the life and experience of transsexual individuals during the transition. Three respondents were chosen for the research, and they were interviewed in depth narrative interviews. The IPA method was chosen as a research method. The findings suggest that transsexuals often experience an identity crisis that is perceived by their surroundings, so they are largely supported by their loved ones. They are mostly very dissatisfied with the care of experts and the media image of transsexuality.
Invisible sexuality: Specifics of the Life of Asexual People within Heteronormative Society

Thesis deals with social life of asexual people in the Czech Republic. The author focuses on the areas of acceptance of their own sexual identity as asexual, coming out and feelings of stigmatization, relationships and intimacy, belonging to LGBT+ community and the perception of the existence of a separate asexual community and the visibility of asexuality in society. For the purpose of the work was carried out qualitative research among asexual people, who selfidentify as asexual. The aim of the analysis was to determine how social life of asexuals differs within the heteronormative society. Thesis is based on differences between asexuals and heteronormative majority, especially in relationships and sexual behavior. The difference is also in other aspects of their life. People often don't know the meaning of asexuality, which can result in social stigmatization of asexuals due to pressure to accept a traditional model of relationship. In some respects, asexual people are similar to other sexual minorities, but not everyone feels to be part of LGBT+ community. Czech asexuals feel to be invisible in our society and they form networks among themselves through the internet forum asexual.cz. However, they don't create a separate community or social movement and they still remain socially invisible....
"When girls like girls": Lesbian Identity and Floorball

This bachelor thesis deals with constructing positive lesbian identity in female floorball. It examines the context of negotiation and the creation of one's own sexual identity. At the next level, it compares the declaration of identity outside of the sports environment. The theme explored by the view of feminist tradition is to bring an inner look at the formation of an identity "girls like girls". The work relates to already created homosexual categories and categories of lesbian identities. Based on the analysis of semi-structured interviews, a typology of sexual identities is created. The work concludes that floorball provides an important space for declaring sexual identity. At the same time, it accelerates the declaration of sexual identity through openness, contact with sexual minorities, gender neutrality, gender segregation and time consuming.
The issue of sexual education of the pre-school child

The bachelor thesis "The issue of sexual education of the pre-school child" deals with the importance of sexual education in pre-primary education and shows the possible risks that may occur when this subject is neglected at this stage. The theoretical part deals with the evolution of human sexuality and the possible realization of sexual education in kindergarten. In the practical part, results of a quantitative research are interpreted. Kindergarten teachers were asked to fill in a questionnaire to find out the teachers´ opinion about sexual education and the way they carry it out in the kindergarten. It also includes a proposal of an educational project, which can be applied in the kindergarten.
Development of sexual identity in preschool age

The theme of the thesis is development of sexual identity in preschoolers. The theoretical part pays attention to the importance of family, peer groups and pre-school insitution in relation to the development of sexual identity. The importance of maternal and paternal roles so as siblings constellation in the context of the development of sexual identity are taken into account. Within the nursery school is mentioned the importance of peer groups and teacher. In the theoretical part is also mentioned incomplete family with regards to the risk in the development of sexual identity. The draft research project is in the form of kvaziexperiment with boys of preschool age. Its content follows on conclusions of the theoretical part of sibling and peer relationships.
