DNA Fragmnent Assembly
Paulenda, Ján ; Jaša, Petr (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
The main subject of this Bachelor's thesis is the DNA fragment assembly. The problem is transposed to finding a shortest superstring problem. Different assembly techniques and string aligning methods are introduced in the theoretical part. Programming language Perl, which was used to implement the assembly, is also widely mentioned, along with its features. Last part of the thesis involves tests' statistics of the final implemented solution.
Measurent and analysis of genomic signal Solanum tuberosum.
Štekovič, Michal ; Hubálek, Jaromír (referee) ; Valla, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes the basic methods for measuring and analyzing DNA. The first part covers the description of the DNA. The next section is devoted to the principle of obtaining DNA from the sample, its isolation and purification. Describes the apparatus which is necessary to measure and analyze. In the final section is devoted adsorptive voltammetry method, evaluation of measured results and data processing assistance program MATLAB.
Compression and analysis of digital video signals
Grúbel, Michal ; Slanina, Martin (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with technical parameters of chosen algorithms for video compression, especially MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 14 and DivX. Whitin it there was created a special software in Matlab that compares frames differences between reference and evaluated sequence. For this purpose there were recorded short test sequences with different properties in time and frequency domain, which recording, compressing, decompressing and decompiling to single frames are described and shown in detail. The results of evaluation are processed in graphs and then described in writing. In final overall evaluation is stated which algorithm for video compression is optimal for which type of sequences that differ in properties in time and frequency domain.
Mutual similarity of aminoacid sequences in different organisms
Vysoudil, Ladislav ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
The aim of this semestral project is to try to study and describe work with sequences of proteins of different organisms, namely above all alligment sequences and evaluation of similarities of sequences. At the beginning of this work we deal with biochemistry of proteins, their constitution and structure. Further text go on with theory for work with sequential data, global, local and multiple assignment. At the last part we investigate possibilities of programme Matlab for aforesaid assignment.
Spread spectrum modulator
Lejsková, Alena ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with a method of spectrum-spreading of the data signals transmitted in the radio channel. There exist three different ways of spreading application, they uses pseudorandom sequences and also orthogonal sequences. In these systems we can find various kinds of modulations, one of them (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is shown at the end of the thesis. Spectrum spreading orthogonal multiplex OFDM is based on this method. The thesis wants to present the principle of the spectrum spreading method and the description of systems, transmitters and receivers that are using this method.
Software for retinal image processing
Magula, Filip ; Fiala, Jiří (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with practical solutions of software for retinal images digital processing. The theoretic part describes human eye and retinal anatomy and also glaucoma disease. It is also focused on description of method for retinal nerve fiber layer enhancement and analysis. These enhancement are then used for designing of automated image processing. One chapter is devoted to detection and analysis of retinal nerve fibers layer. The practical part includes the user manual for application Image Blockz, which was established within this thesis. Further practical part contains the programmer's manual describing the basic structure of the program and its possible extensions.
Image Motion Detection
Zítka, Michal ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor project dissert on detection of motion in image. Also sumary basic methods for detection of motion in image and method of segmentation using active contour. In practical section is attention paid to detection of motion in video camera screenshots.
Measuring of Vehicle Instant Velocity
Štencel, Jakub ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The theoretical part of this paper summarizes the methods for motion analysis in an image. Inspected in detail are the methods used for motion detection in the image sequences. The practical part is focused on finding the significant points in the image (the targeting reticles on the body of the vehicle) which are then used to calculate the speed of the vehicle.
Stabilization of image sequence without decrement of its resolution
Otruba, Vítězslav ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The shake that affects the video camera during taking of the footage degrades the level of the viewer experience. This article contains the design of the method that stabilizes the stored footage and fills in the gaps in the separate frames, so the picture resolution remains the same after the process.
Molekulárně-dynamická studie stack-interakcí v RNA dinukleosidech, závislost schopnosti stackovat na sekvenci RNA
Vokáčová, Zuzana
Stacking ability of RNA dinucleosides is dependend on sequence, which is studied by molecular dynamic simulation. Dinucleosides monophosphates ApA, ApC, CpA and CpC were used such molecular models.
