Botulinum toxin A treatment strategy in cerebral palsy in Czech Republic

Botulinum toxin A is a standard treatment of spasticity in cerebral palsy. Rules for its use and subsequent rehabilitation differ in the Czech Republic. Currently, there are no published guidelines for this treatment in the Czech Republic. The principle aim of this thesis is to explore the different strategies for the clinical use of botulinum toxin in Czech Republic. First, the background of this thesis is covering up-to-date information about cerebral palsy, its treatment and its modalities with the main focus on botulinum toxin use and subsequent rehabilitation. Lastly, the background explores the published guidelines for the botulinum toxin treatment in children with cerebral palsy. This thesis is focusing on qualitative research with seven medical doctors in the Czech Republic from eight neurologists in total, who are actively administering botulinum toxin to their patients with cerebral palsy. We are researching their criteria for indication, the strategies they are using when administering BTX, dosing, and the frequent complications they encounter. The theoretical part describes mediation - the term mediation, basic principles, objectives, advantages and definition of mediation according to Czech legislation, mediator - the role of the mediator, his main tasks and skills. It also describes the process of mediation, its phases and possible difficulties, that may arise at certain stages of the process. The bachelor thesis presents suitable and unsuitable cases for mediation.At the end of the theoretical part, the bachelor thesis is devoted to mediation in social work. It introduces the application of mediation and methods of mediation, the application of mediation in social work is presented and the target groups of social work are introduced. In the practical part, I chose a qualitative method to collect data through a semi- structured interview. The aim of the Bachelor's thesis was to find out, from selected social workers of Dobříš and Nový Knín regions, the awareness of mediation and its possible use as a method of social work.
Gambler in the family

The diploma thesis Gambler in the family deals with the topic of gambling, with a specific focus on the issue of gambling in the family. It focuses on family members and examines the phenomenon of gambling from a family perspective - it analyzes its impact on individual family members and examines whether this impact is the same or different in different families. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to examine gambling from multiple angles, the influence of the various components on the successful cure of pathological gambling, from the perspective of the family (dominant perspective), from the perspective of society and from the perspective of the helping organization. First, the researched problem is described from a theoretical point of view, and then qualitative research is carried out, in which the researched problem is analyzed in more depth. The main method used in the empirical part is qualitative research, in which the influence of the above components on the pathological player and his treatment process is examined through a research tool - a semi-structured interview. For a more comprehensive picture of the diploma thesis, case studies are added - case studies focusing on individual cases of gamblers and serving as a comparison for similar cases.
Social work with prostitutes

The bachelor thesis focuses on approaching the specifics of social work with prostitutes from the perspective of a social worker. The work is divided into practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part focuses on a closer specification of the mentioned issue, by presenting the most common and most typical adverse phenomena that accompany prostitution. Also social work with prostitutes. The practical part of the bachelor thesis interprets the results of a qualitative research survey. The research survey took place in the form of semi-structured interviews with social workers from organizations that focus on the issue of prostitution in the Czech Republic. Teachers' approach to problematic students and solving problematic situations

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to investigate teachers' approaches to problematic students, whose behaviour may be caused by personal obstacles, suffering, difficulties, or a feeling of insecurity. The bachelor thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with discipline, morality, respect, and authority of students towards teachers. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes aspects that can influence an individual's behaviour. The practical part is devoted to qualitative research, where a semi-structured interview is used to collect data. Interview informants are primary school and junior grammar school teachers. The questions in the interviews are aimed at teachers' experiences with problematic pupils and solutions to problematic situations.
Comparison of childcare placed in children´s home and foster care in free time activities

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare leisure activities of children in children's homes and children in foster care. The first part is focused on specifying of the term foster care and its comparison with other forms of substitutional family care. Furthermore, the thesis analyses systems of institutional care and the determination of children's homes in this category. Subsequently, there is an analysis of children development categories belonging to the respondents of my research. The closure of the theoretical part deals with ways of spending free time and the basic familiarisation with leisure activities. The research is made with the method of individual semi-structured interview, where the answers of respondents from foster care and children's home are analysed. Lastly, the thesis summarises and compares differents that are used in children's homes and foster care within leisure activities.
Podcast es a New Phenomenon of Sports Journalism

This thesis focuses on the podcast as a new phenomenon of sports journalism. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how sports journalists in the Czech Republic approach the creation of podcasts. The chosen method for obtaining data is a semi-structured interview. Podcasts and journalists have been purposefully selected to meet different criteria and thus achieve the greatest possible diversification. These are the chosen podcasts and their authors: Bomby k tyči (Jakub Koreis, Richard Tesař), Basketbal fokus podcast/ČT sport podcasty (Jiří Kalemba), Kolo na kolo (Tomáš Richtr), Mixzóna (Michal Osoba), Nosiči vody (Karel Tvaroh, Luděk Mádl, Jaromír Bosák), Onlajny podcast (Nikola Katolická and a group of authors), Osobák a Stadiony (Martin Minha). In the theoretical section, the author of the thesis defines the key term podcast and its characteristics on the basis of professional literature and briefly summarizes its history and development. Patterns of kratom use among regular users: qualitative analysis

Background: Kratom is becoming a more famous psychoactive substance in the Czech Republic. However the research fields is not that fast as its use so there are not many studies in czech describing kratom or its use across his users. Aim: The aim of this master thesis is to findout patterns of drug use in regular useres from age 15 - 34.. Sample: The sample for this study is respondents aged 15 - 34 (young adults). The sample consisted of 10 respondents, 5 were women and 5 were men. The average age of the respondents was 27.2 years. The grat majority of respondents (N=9) are working and the last respondent (N=1) is still a student. Methods: Target group is selected by snowball sampling method. Data will be obtained through semi-structured interview and screenings questionnaires. The method of pattern formula and tuft creation method will be used to analyze collected data. We assume that the result of the work will be not only findinng patterns of kratom use, a description of its addiction or possible withdrawal syndrome, but also the elaboration of professional text Results: Respondents use kratom at least once a week, but their frequency and amount of the substance varies. Construction of national identity in Eurovision Song Contest: case study

The diploma thesis Construction of National Identity in Eurovision Song Contest: Case Study analyses the ways and forms of shaping the Czech national identity in the Eurovision Song Contest, the largest and most watched international festival of popular music in the world. In particular, the thesis aims to identify the manifestation of identity and self-presentation of the Czech Republic from the point of view of a media institution, in the national selection, in the form of the entry itself, in postcards and video clips as well as through voting and viewer ratings. These findings were attained by the combination of three research methods, namely semi-structured interviews with media professionals, qualitative content analyses of audio- visual materials and secondary data analysis. The theoretical framework presents basic concepts of identity formation and nationalism, and provides an in-depth presentation of the Eurovision Song Contest from geopolitical and sociocultural perspectives. Master's thesis entitled Motivating factors influencing the work of directors of nursery schools aims to identify motivational factors influencing the work of headmasters. The main objective of the research is to determine which of motivation, stimulation, and demotivating factors affect headmasters of nursery schools of the Pardubice Region. Based on quantitative and qualitative research lead to the fulfillment of specific objectives. The first partial objective is to conclude from created questions for a research and carrying out research among nursery schools among Managers of Pardubice region through a questionnaire survey and subsequent analysis of the data,what motivational factors, stimulation, demotivating and to what extent, affect the work of directors of nursery schools in Pardubice region. The second partial objective is to compare the motivational factors influencing the work of selected directors surveyed of nursery schools in Pardubice region at different stages of their professional development and to identify changes in the scope of these factors of motivation.
