Editor of EXIF and IPTC Values from Images
Kužel, Jan ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Horáček, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of the programme that is used to edit EXIF and IPTC data in JPEG images. The application also allows for previewing photos, editing photos using the plug-ins, showing photos and finding photos using advanced features, including the GPS coordinates of the specified range.
Multiword Expression Search on Android Mobile Devices
Babič, Vojtěch ; Kouřil, Jan (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis explores current mobile dictionary user interfaces focusing on multiword expression search support. The goal of this thesis is to design a system which can index large dictionaries and then search in them effectively. An Android application which allows user to search in multiword expressions containing inflected forms quickly was developed to demonstrate the system. A second part describes dictionary formats, their usage and features. The first dictionary format is Lexical Markup Framework, in which source dictionaries are stored and which are used to create indexed dictionaries from. Another format explained is StarDict, which was meant to be a main storage format for the implemented Android application, but an own database dictionary format supporting full-text indexes was developed instead.
Dictionary for Mobile Devices (iPad, iPhone, Android)
Boba, Peter ; Kouřil, Jan (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a system for creating dictionary databases, as well as design and implementation of an Android application that displays the dictionary data contained in these databases. Lexical data sources are structured using Lexical Markup Framework.
Desktop Search for Linux
Prívozník, Michal ; Schmidt, Marek (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with indexing, difeerent types of indexing structures their advantages and disadvantages. It provides the basis for a search engine with support of morphology or difeerent file formats. Provides insight to the basic ideas, which answer is aim of the master's thesis.
Scientific Portal Personalization
Čáslavský, Josef ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This paper describes personalization of web applications and options of usage for scientific web portals. Theoretical part introduces main personalization principles and methods. Practical part of this paper focuses on resulting application. The application provides personalized services based on created user profile such as personalized search, content recommendation and conference planner.
Searching in Speech Data
Fapšo, Michal ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis describes a designed and implemented system for efficient storage, indexing and search in collections of spoken documents that takes advantage of automatic speech recognition. As the quality of current speech recognizers is not sufficient for a great deal of applications, it is necessary to index the ambiguous output of the recognition, i.\,e. the acyclic graphs of word hypotheses -- recognition lattices. Then, it is not possible to directly apply the standard methods known from text--based systems. This paper discusses an optimized indexing system for efficient search in the complex and large data structures which are the output of the recognizer.
AI Algorithms
Petrželka, Jan ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This master's thesis describes artificial intelligence algorithms based on the book Artificial Inteligence: A Modern Approach by S. Russel and P. Norvig and implementation of the algorithms in the Squeak Smalltalk programming language with object oriented approach. Algorithms are based on pseudocode in the book and existing implementations in Lisp, Python and Java language. Main concepts are intelligent agents, agent simulation environments, state space search, game playing, planning, uncertainty and learning.
Traffic Connection Searching in Transport Schedules
Žižka, Ondřej ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
Everyday need of modern society is a mass personal transit on a regular basis. For this purpose, mass transit systems exist which obey aforethought schedule. This thesis' goal is to examine the means of automatic search of connections from one place to another, implement such search, and to advance the search algorithm using the soft-computing paradigms. Minor goal would be a research of SQL language procedural capabilities, which could support mass pseudo-parallel computations.
Optimalization of Web Pages and Strategy of Selling
Žampach, Aleš ; Kadeřábek, Jakub (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on optimization of e-shop and strategy of selling. Main spheres of interest are full text search, on-page, off-page factors of SEO and channels of digital media. These theoretical examples are demonstrated on the example of pocess SEO and SEM. It also includes economic point of view and strategic concept of optimization.
Optimalization of Web Pages and Strategy of Selling
Kosina, Pavel ; Neuwirth, Bernard (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis deals with websites optimizing for search engines. It describes the basic website optimalization practices in the source code as well as influencing the surrounding site in such a way that the web site finished best in the search results. It also describes illegal practices and support PPC systems. This work is also a practical example, which demonstrates the application of theoretical knowledge on specific websites.
