Satellite refuelling mission proposal

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou doplňování paliva družicím na orbitě. V práci je popsán koncept doplňování paliva na orbitě společně s přehledem misí a technologií zabývajících se doplňováním paliva a prodloužením životnosti. Jsou uvedena specifika mise pro doplnění paliva, potřeby a omezení platné pro danou misi na základě kterých je formulováno programové prohlášení. Je představen návrh mise na doplnění paliva dále rozpracovávající požadavky mise a koncepci operací. Návrh zarhnuje možné klíčové vybavení pro misi. Tato práce přináší popis doplňování paliva družic na orbitě a představuje návrh mise určené k výkonu tohoto úkolu. Na základě této práce je možné navrhnout kosmickou družici určenou k zásobování jiných družic palivem.
Design and implementation of educational CubeSat

This thesis describes the design of a CubeSat with a 1U (10x10x10 cm) size, which will be used in laboratory tasks. It includes mechanical construction printed on a 3D printer with six photovoltaic cells, mounted on the top. Cells will produce electricity to power all systems and to charge the onboard NiMH batteries to make the CubeSat independent of other sources of energy. The proposed design of an electrical power supply system and an onboard computer combined with a communication system is based on off the shelf components. The two-way wireless communication link between computer and a CubeSat is realized thanks to the ground station, which is also part of a design. Students will make other systems, which will communicate with the built in onboard computer via internal RS 485 communication bus. Internal EEPROM memory is used to save measured values. Modularity, possible future expandability, and easy repair in case of any failure were the key optimization parameters of the design.
Use of GPS in the Car Industry Oriented on Self-driving Vehicles

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím GPS v automobilovém průmyslu se zaměřením na bezpilotní vozidla. Hlavním cílem bylo přiblížit GPS systém jako takový, jeho využití v autonomních vozidlech, vysvětlit výhody i nevýhody těchto automobilů a popsat různé hardwary a softwary, které dále využívají. První polovina práce nejprve do velkých detailů charakterizuje GPS, aby se čtenář seznámil s tím, jak navigační systém pracuje. V druhé části se čtenář dozví o autonomních vozech, do jakých úrovní jsou rozdělena, a které systémy používají. Dále jsou zde popsány výhody a nevýhody těchto vozidel a také hlavní rozdíly mezi dnešními a autonomními auty. Závěr této práce je soustředěn na benefity inteligentní dopravy, ale i na pohled do budoucnosti vozidel či celé dopravy.
Existing state-of-the art and development tendencies of methods and technologies in the field of aircraft movement control along aerodrome surface

This diploma thesis deals with navigation on airport surface. In thesis there are described main surveillance systems, which are used for navigation on airport surface and systems for prediction and avoiding collisions. For all systems is listed principle of action, their usage, advantages and disadvantages and informations, which are provided by these systems. In last chapter there are compared properties of main surveillance systems.
Bearings for space

Currently, space satellites in orbit are required to operate reliably for more than 10 years. This places high demands on the satellite's tribological systems, which must function properly in the hostile space environment for this period. This bachelor thesis deals with the description of suitable bearings and their lubrication for space applications. Lubrication regimes are described at the outset. Then, space factors affecting the proper operation of tribological systems are summarized. The largest part is devoted to the description of the most used bearings and lubricants. The thesis concludes with the design of suitable bearings and their lubrication for the satellite reaction wheel.

Zuzana Urbanová The Function of Direct Forms of Presentation in the Generic Structure of Newspaper Reports Abstract The thesis deals with the employment of direct forms of presentation in the genre of hard news. The texts for the analysis were excerpted from the main British broadsheet newspapers. The classification of forms of presentation is based on Semino and Short (2004) and focuses on their deictic and syntactic properties, interpreted in terms of the pragmatic concepts of perspective, faithfulness claims and the role of the reported and reporting speaker. Attention is paid to various direct forms, including direct speech, free direct speech and combined forms, i.e. non-direct forms appearing with a partial direct quote. The thesis draws heavily on the work by White (1998), whose approach to genre is informed by the ideas proposed by the Sydney School and Systemic Functional Linguistics. Hard news is characterised by the orbital generic structure, consisting of the nucleus and a number of specifying satellites (White 1998). The occurrence of direct and combined forms of presentation is explained by their deictic, syntactic and pragmatic properties, the generic role and characteristic features of the nucleus and individual satellites, and the overall function of hard news. Title: Possibilities of Using of Remote Detection Data for Convective Storms Intensity Nowcasting Author: Michaela Valachová Department: Department of Atmospheric Physics Supervisor: Mgr. Michal Žák, Ph.D., Department of Atmospheric Physics Abstract: Evolution of 60 isolated convective storms from 2016 and 2017, which formed in the region of Central Europe, is studied by means of multi-sensor observations. According to the reports from the European Severe Weather Da- tabase, two categories of storms are classified: severe and non-severe. Based on radar, lightning and satellite measurements, trends of storm characteristics are analyzed to ascertain their typical behavior. Lightning stroke rates and their change could well warn about the ability of the storm to become severe, therefore a Lightning jump algorithm was proposed within this work. From individual case studies follows that methods of remote sensing offer comprehensive information about convective storm life-cycles. In order to objectively determine crucial variables for estimating the storm se- verity, logistic regression models and regularized regressions (elastic net) are employed. Study of Urban Heat Island with using of remote sensing investigations

Modern times bring considerable urbanization which represents the development and extension of cities. An urban environment is very different in structure from the rural one and the natural landscape. The differences are shown in various types of climatic observations and they also lead to a phenomenon called Urban Heat Island. The city appears as an island with higher temperature compared to the surrounding rural areas. Eumetsat satellites called MFG and MSG with the MVIRI and SEVIRI instruments are used for the analysis of SUHI, the measurement of which is processed by the application of various algorithms. 1
Development and manufacturing of insert for satellite sandwich panel structure with tailored mechanical characteristics

Cílem práce bylo vyvinout vložku se speciálními mechanickými vlastnostmi pro satelitní strukturu ze sendvičových panelů. Problém byl analyzován a byla navržena inovativní konstrukce vložky založená na existující aplikaci, přičemž byla brána v potaz proveditelnost výroby. Návrh byl ověřen pomocí metody konečných prvků. Práce se také zabývá technologickým návrhem výroby vložky. Nakonec byla představena metodologie zkoušky pro ověření návrhu vložky.
