The thesis The principal's role in improving the quality of school involved in the project "We help schools towards success" focuses on roles of the school principal as a leader and manager, that influence the improvement of school quality. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on school quality, its indicators, management areas and evaluation criteria. It also brings theoretical knowledge about the school principal, his competence in his role of a leader and manager and about the project "We help school towards success" The practical part investigates which criteria parents considered while selecting a school for their children and what they understand by the term "quality school". It also analyzes what activities carried out by the school principal in his role of a leader and manager are in the eyes of teachers and parents the most important ones for the improvement of school quality and how the respondents assess the contribution of school involvement in the project "We help schools towards success". The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of theoretical knowledge in the day-to-day decision-making process of the headmaster in the Czech Republic and Belarus based on the study of the information obtained. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to formulate identical and different characteristics of the activities of the headmaster in the role of manager in the Czech Republic and Belarus. This work, with regard to research questions, should show in detail the differences in the approach to managerial work of the headmaster in the conditions of the Czech Republic and Belarus with regard to legislation, customs and experience. The bachelor thesis examines the director's personal profile as a manager with all aspects of managerial work and determines the work of a manager with human resources in the primary school environment of both countries. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge concerning the work of the headmaster in the Czech and Belarusian environment and verifies the predicted model by research in the school field. The aim of the research is to map and describe how managers of independent schools apply managerial skills in specific activities of school management, taking into account the conditions of these countries. Headmaster of school during the First Republic (1918 - 1938)

Bachelor thesis The headmaster during the First Republic (1918 - 1938) describes what rights, responsibilities and competences headmaster of school had in the past, which specific activities he had to devote during the school year, and what was his role in the former education system. The work was written on the basis of a detailed study of historical materials and their critical evaluation. The actual content of the work provides information about the actual school director, but also the First Republic system of education at primary schools today. The conclusion of the work summarizes which of the roles of the First Republic headmaster finally prevailed. With regard to administrative duties, which he had been determined, it was mostly about the role of caretaker. Bachelor thesis also confirms that in history is possible to find enlightenment and inspiration.
