Svobodová, Jitka ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Vondrušková, Barbora (referee)
I intend to describe the evolution of access to renewable resources (especially photovoltaics) from the perspective of the European Union, the Czech Republic and the energy mix. The purpose of the first chapter is to describe the important historical milestones of European legislation which applies to renewable resources and to set the most important events that have pushed the European energy policy towards renewable resources. Part of this chapter will be devoted to the evaluation reports of the EU Commission, that determine the rate of progress of member countries according to applicable directives. In the second chapter I will focus on the comparison of most used types of power plants, describe their advantages and disadvantages regarding to the environment, pollution, economic, and electricity prices. Attention will be paid to conventional fuels (oil, natural gas, coal) and also renewable resources (wind, hydro, biomass and photovoltaics), and at last nuclear energy. The third chapter will focus on the Czech Republic, the development of its energy policy and especially on the situation created by legislative changes in 2010, its direct and indirect impact, and eventual development in the future.

Program " Green savings" and his efficiency in the South bohemia region
KAČENOVÁ, Petra
The Green Savings programme was drawn up by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and fully administered by the State Environmental Fund. The main objectives of the programme were reduction of CO2 emissions as well as limitation of other air pollutants, supported by increased use of renewable energy sources and improved energy efficiency in the housing sector. The programme has not only promoted use of renewable energy sources for heating and hot water preparation but has also subsidized energy savings in reconstructions and new buildings. The programme supports quality insulation of family houses and non-panel multiple-dwelling houses, replacement of environment unfriendly heating for low-emission biomass-fired boilers and efficient heat pumps and, finally, installations of these sources in new low-energy buildings as well as construction of new houses in the passive energy standard. The Green Savings support is provided in the form of non-claimable subsidies granted only to applicants from the Czech Republic. The Green Savings programme started 1st April 2009 and was suspended in late October 2010 due to its funds having been spent. The State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic received 7137 grant applications from the South Bohemian Region - 1693 applications (23.7%) were granted and paid in full, 2121 applications (29.7%) were approved and 3323 applications (46.6%) were turned down. The applicants in the South Bohemian Region have claimed to be adequately informed about the programme and they find it to be economically advantageous ? the programme itself proved to be extremely popular and successful in meeting the applicants expectations in energy savings. If some of the South-bohemian households choose not to apply for a subsidy within this programme it was not because of lack of funds. Most households who applied for the subsidy reported only partial satisfaction with its administration process. The greatest majority of benefactors in all subsidized areas were family houses and the biggest amount of grants applied for concerns the use of renewable energy sources for heating and hot water preparation (in particular installation of solar-thermal collectors which represents 25% of all submitted applications). Lowest interest within the subsidized areas was for housing construction in the passive energy standard. For many applicants the governmental support isn't the main driving force in their decision-making process about energy efficient homes. Many of them had implemented energy-saving measures before the programme started. But they claim to have chosen more energy efficient measures using the programme than they would have done without it. People living in South Bohemian Region have positive relationship with their environment and take environmental issues seriously.

Analysis of policy in support of generation electricity from renewable resources in Czech republic.
Juklíček, Jan ; Zeman, Karel (advisor) ; Ryvolová, Ivana (referee)
The bachelor thesis aims on analysis of support in generation of electricity from renewable resources in the Czech Republic and its historical development. In the view of gradual growth of consumption and prices of energy is this thesis very actual, especially in the time of global financial crisis. Theoretical part of the work defines main historical goals in economic policy, which led to the policy of support in generation of electricity from renewable resources. Then the description of renewable and non-renewable resources fallows. Theoretical part ends with consideration of possibility, that non-renewable resources could be worked-out. In analytical part of the work is researched policy of support in generation of electricity from renewable resources. The main sort of subventions in the Czech Republic and legislature of European Union is defined. Impacts of these policies are shown on share of electricity production from renewable resources and gross domestic consumption. This research is compared with other members of European Union. The last part analyzes usability of each renewable resource in conditions of the Czech Republic. The main goal of this bachelor work is analysis of support in generation of electricity from renewable resources in the Czech Republic and eventual recommendations on improvement in these policies.
EU energy politics- current situation and an outlook for the future
Halm, Lukáš ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Krč, Jakub (referee)
I am trying to express my own concept of the solution to the European energy dependance, which has been constantly growing for several years. While analyzing the main resources of energy available at the time, I've come to a conclusion that nuclear energy and renewable resources tend to be the most proper sources of energy in order to stop or even decrease the energy dependance rate of the EU. After analyzing the economic use and possible capacities of the proposed resources, it has occured to me that even their further implementation would lead to a decline in above mentioned energy dependance rate of EU. At the same time, it would consequently reduce the prices of the energy in the European Union, not mentioning the ecological profits of such resources.

On each of these variations standard methods of effectiveness evaluation were applied
Efficiency in the use of photovoltaic cells for energy production
Maršíková, Michaela ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
Master's Thesis considers the idea of use of renewable energy sources for the generation of electricity. On the basis of reports on climate warming, the European Union took measures, which are mandatory for all Member States and aimed to increase the share of renewable energy in total energy production by 2010. Czech Republic has committed itself to produce 8% of energy from renewable energy sources, the government has created a system of subsidies to renewable energy sources and a system of redemption prices. These measures make energy very expensive. This work deals with the origin of these measures, which are reports on global warming. My work is also comparing predictions on the future status, as well as examining the advantages of investing in renewable energy sources and comparing the prices of subsidized energy with other types of energy.
