Methods of developmental psychodiagnostics for children under the age of 3

Thesis focuses on methods of developmental psychodiagnostics for children under the age of 3. Characteristics of early childhood considering the general developmental patterns are introduced in the beginning. Then the focus is moved to the developmental psychodiagnostics, its specific situation, its demands from the examinator's point of view, as well as the specifics of infants and toddlers that can affect the process of making a developmental diagnosis. The essence of this thesis presents particular methods of developmental diagnostics, its development, description, use, advantages and possible disadvantages. For better demonstraion of the administration process, each method is supplemented with a brief example of an possible examination. In the end of the thesis a research project is being proposed. That is a project of concurrent validity of the parent- completed "Ages and Stages Questionnaires" with the Gesell scales. Anotace: Práce se zabývá problematikou jeslí z hlediska základního zajištění provozu a podmínek pro poskytování odborné, přiměřené a hodnotné péče o děti do tří let. Pro vhled do situace byly použity kromě odborné literatury také názory rodičovské veřejnosti a studentů Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy v Praze, zjišťované formou přímého dotazování, rozhovorů a písemného vyjádření předem určenou formou. Specific needs of children in foster family as a consequence of early trauma

This thesis deals with a topic of specific needs of early traumatised children living in a foster family. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes foster care as a part of Czech system of care about children in need. The second chapter deals with the psychological development in early childhood. The third chapter applies itself to early trauma and its causes. The fourth chapter is focused on consequences of early trauma and resulting specific needs of children. The fifth chapter is devoted to the possibilities of working with early traumatised children in a foster family. The following practical part consists of three segments. The first one has a form of research among foster parents. It is focused on specific needs of children and also a need of support, which should be given to foster families. The second section presents the research survey among non-profit organisations that deal with direct support for foster families. It examines their experience with a topic of early trauma. The third section presents a unique project of one Czech organisation, which is focused on the transition of child from institutional care to family environment.
Views of contemporary mothers (in Czech Republic) on upbringing of childern aged younger then tree years.

The thesis named "Opinions of opinions of contemporary mothers on the upbringing and education of children up to three years " examines and describes the services of day care centres for children up to three years in the Czech Republic in context with the family policy of our country and the Barcelona aims. Contemporary education possibilities of children up to three years in the selected states of EU in connection with their respective family policy are outlined too. The thesis also includes a research investigation of problematic questions concerning the upbringing and education of children up to three years, whose aim was to determine the concrete opinions and attitudes of the examined group of 75 mothers with children up to three years towards the family and non-family care in the region of Mladá Boleslav and its surroundings. It also examines which options of the children early care are used by mothers most often and what are the reasons behind. In the practical part of the thesis the general awareness of mothers about the options of the day care for children up to three years, including the personal attitude towards the nursery, was established. The harmonization of working and family roles represents an intensively discussed issue not only in our country, but in the whole European scale....
