The comparison of trends in the education of pupils and students with mental disabilities in selected countries

The diploma thesis describes the development of trends in the education of pupils with mental disabilities in selected countries. The aim of the thesis is to describe and compare the differences within the same trend in the education of people with mental disabilities in Spain, the Czech Republic, France and Quebec. Research questions are formulated in accordance with the formulated objective. The first unit of work is devoted to trends and approaches to persons with mental disabilities in the global context and human rights in international documents. Subsequently, mental disability is defined and some psychological aspects of persons with disabilities affecting the educational process are described. The work continues by describing the development of trends in the education of people with mental disabilities in the compared countries in the context of legislative and conceptual documents and laws that relate to the topic of work. The research part of the work focuses on the analysis of texts and the comparison of parts of school laws of individual countries. Computational thinking development of pupils in the Early Years

The master's thesis addresses the topic of developing computational thinking at the primary school. The theoretical part defines the fundamental concepts of computational thinking and its components, digital literacy. The theoretical part also includes an analysis of the curriculum for elementary school and its changes in the field of computer science focused on the primary school. The basic concepts of computational thinking are characterized, and the issues in the curriculum in the Czech Republic and abroad are outlined. The theoretical part includes an analysis of textbooks for teaching computational thinking at the primary school, mainly analyzing the textbook by Berki, J., and Drábková, J. (2020) Foundations of Informatics for the primary school, along with specific chapters for its practical verification. The practical part describes the preparation and implementation of a research survey at the primary school. Bullying of teachers by pupils and solution options

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of bullying of teachers by pupils. This is a significant problem, but one that has often received insufficient attention in the literature. Nowadays, it is becoming even more relevant, and therefore this phenomenon has been discussed more frequently. The present paper is a literature search based on original empirical research on teacher-pupil bullying. The aim of the thesis is to provide an insight into the issues surrounding this form of bullying and to summarise the basic knowledge associated with it. The thesis also looks at possible solutions. The main purpose of the literature search is to sort out information about the frequency of bullying and its causes. Understanding the reasons may help to reduce the incidence of this phenomenon. The last part is devoted to possible solutions. Approaches that could lead to a reduction or complete elimination of bullying.
Motivation of pupils to study geography on the example of the Geographical Grammar School

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the motivation of pupils to study geography. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the motivation of students in geography at secondary school and to find out which factors have the greatest influence on their motivation. These variables are evaluated on the example of the Geographical Grammar School in the form of Focus group interviews with the pupils of the school. The bachelor's thesis is supplemented by information from the school management, obtained using a semi-standardized interview. The result of the analysis is that motivation is necessary in the teaching process in geography and it is important that there should be used elements of support for both external and internal motivation in the lessons.
Promoting pupil's self-regulation and stress reduction in the school environment

The thesis deals with stress and self-regulation of pupils in the school environment. The theoretical part deals with the general issue of stress, stressors, expression of stress, and the child's reactions to stress. It also defines self-regulation, relaxation techniques, specific support for pupils' self-regulation, and coping strategies. The theoretical section defines the concept of wellbeing and the development of pupils' socio-emotional skills. Finally, the issue established in the primary education system. Adaptation of Pupils to the First Year of Primary School

The thesis deals with the adaptation of pupils, which is often associated in literature with kindergarten. It si a new topic for the first year of primary school. Therefore, the thesis focuses on describing the different concepts that are essential to understanding a child's adaptation to the first year of primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis is arranged chronologically as the each topic comes up in the child life, i.e. from the definition of preschool age, throuth the issues of school maturity and readiness, enrolment and deferment, to the definition of the younger school age. A central chapter is devoted to the issue of adaptation and the causes of failed adaptation. For the empirical part of the thesis, qualitative research based on the case study research method was chosen. Several techniques were used for data collection. These include direct non- participant observation of pupils during breaks as well as lessons. The observations are supplemented by semi-structured individual interviews with pupils, a teacher and a class assistant. Another technique is a parents online questionnaire. Support options for personal well-being in the view of primary school teachers

This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of the well-being of primary school teachers, and the possibilities for supporting well-being by the teachers themselves and the school management. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. The theory is elaborated into four chapters and summarizes the findings of the specialized literature. The first chapter presents the basic concept of well-being, including terms that were previously synonymous and are now an essential part of it. The next chapter is devoted to the topic of well-being itself. It offers a summary of existing theories, defines and describes the area of well-being, and conveys a view of teacher well-being. The third chapter collects information in the area of well-being care. It draws attention to the threatening factors that have an impact on the mental health and work capacity of the teacher, which include, for example, stress or burnout syndrome. It also conveys knowledge of how to improve well-being. The last chapter is devoted to the role of well-being in education. In addition to the teacher's influence on the well-being of pupils, it also pays attention to teacher's support in the school environment, i.e. from the employer to the employees.
