It puts it into a group of better-known musical wind instruments and explains the benefits to preschool children. Knowing this, it is beneficial to understand the historical facts about the formation and classification of some musical instruments. The practical part describes the specific work with a group of preschool children attending the five-hole recorder lessons. Described is also an approach toward individual children emphasizing their unique peculiarities. The findings thus show what goals can be achieved after six months of work with these children, and the most significant progress that can be observed in them. The thesis is accompanied by a book of songs and some of the tools I use in my lessons.
