Leisure activities for children aged 10-15 and a group of young firefighters

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the free-time activity of children who attend young firemen's groups working at volunteer fire brigades, in connection with the more general question of how children in early adolescence spend their free time. The work deals with basic categories such as free time and education in free time, and the target group of children is characterized from the point of view of developmental psychology. In connection with the leisure activities of children of the given age group, the bachelor's thesis also maps the organizational structure and activities of the Firefighters' Association of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia and the functioning of volunteer firefighter corps and young firefighter collectives. The young firemen's club is thematized from the point of view of its leisure potential.
Social networks and their impact on older school-age people

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to explain the concept, describe their advantages and disadvantages, explain their possible pitfalls and certain concepts that people may encounter without being aware of it. The whole work is oriented towards people of older school age, for whom the social network becomes rather dangerous mainly for their psychological development, which is also explained here. The theoretical part further deals with social networks and their pros and cons that they represent. The practical part follows on from the issues outlined in the theoretical part and examines the impact of the use of social networks on the psychological well-being of young people, together with the consequences of encountering the pitfalls of the internet. Then it also finds out how much time they spend in the electronic space.
The influence of classical fairy tales on the development of the psyche and the artistic expression of a child in preschool and younger school age

This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of authentic fairy tales on the psychological and artistic development of a child of preschool and younger school age. The theoretical part of the thesis contains three main chapters. The first chapter presents the specifics of evolutionary psychology, the second chapter deals with the ontogenesis of artistic expression and the last part focuses on the history of the fairy tale and its classification. The practical part includes a selection of watercolors showing the authentic fairy tale. Qualitative research contains artistically interpreted authentic fairy tales prepared by kindergarten children and primary school children, following by artistically and ontogenetically analysis with a possible overlap into the interpretive basis. This part of the research also contains a semi-structured interview with the authors of artistically interpreted fairy tales, followed by the final evaluation.
Importance of pre-school children's play for mental development

The bachelor's thesis deals with the importance of preschool children's play for mental development. The main target of the theoretical part is create the most comprehensive overview of current knowledge on the topic. The first part provides general theoretical definition games. Here I present various definitions, classifications and theory of play. Another part is devoted to a detailed description of the importance of the play for the mental development. I focus here on the cognitive, motor, motivational-voluntary, emotional and social development. Since the preschool period begins to appear cooperative play, I consider it important to include a chapter on playmates. Parents, grandparents, siblings, peers and imaginary friend. This chapter describes the importance of the participation and style of play of playmates in the preschool children's play. Conclusions of the thesis is a research project focused on the parents play with preschool children.
Mental development of children with low birth weight

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the specifics of mental development of children of preschool and school age with very low to extremely low birth weight. The theoretical part is focused on prenatal and perinatal factors, the most common health problems and specifics of psychological development. Low birth weight, especially in the category of very low and extremely low birth weights poses a significant risk factor in somatic and mental development of these children. There is an increasing tendency in children with low birth weight to show the impact of immaturity in the areas of neurocognitive and psychosocial maturation. The aim of the empirical part is to evaluate the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children with very low to extreme low birth weight in two age groups (preschool and school age). The primary target group are children with perinatal stress, which are monitored and maintained therapeutically in the Center of complex care for children with perinatal stress at the Clinic of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, General University Hospital and 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. Importance of children's play for mental development

The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of play on children's mental development from birth to preschool age. The first chapter is dedicated to general concept of children's play, its definition, the main different approaches to children's play and the basic characteristics of play. The next section describes the main stages of development and play from the birth in the specific periods (newborn, infant, toddler, preschool child) when the exact period is briefly described theoretically and then the most of the work is dedicated to play in this periods. The third section of theoretical part focuses on social groups in which play takes place. The benefits and limits of the Cochen model from the point of view of a worker in social and legal protection of children.

The diploma thesis entitled "The Benefits and limitations of the Cochem model from the point of view of an OSPOD employee" deals with families undergoing adjustment of relations on one hand and with professionals who work with such families on the other. The diploma thesis aims to thoroughly describe the Cochem model, so that the results may be as useful as possible, especially for social workers working at OSPOD, but also for other professionals, who interact with the family during the situation adjustment process. This content can also serve as an informative basis for parents of minor children, who are currently going through a separation / divorce. The purpose of the master's thesis is to find out how OSPOD social workers in selected urban areas of Prague perceive the use of the Cochem model, whether and how they work with it. The aim of the research is to be inspired by knowledge from good practice and to shed light on the bad experiences of social workers.
Changing uses of social media among teenagers

This bachelor thesis focuses on the connection between the preferred form of communication and psychological development of adolescents. This thesis assumes that there is a connection between the most used way of communication, with a special focus on social networks, and the developmental stage in which the adolescent is. By using a questionnaire designed for this work and quantitative analysis it finds out the reasons of the preferred form of communication and feelings associated with using this specific communication channel. This thesis also finds out which social networks are the most popular among teenagers and for what reasons. The results of this research suggest that there is a link between the preferences of the form of communication and the age of adolescents. According to the results, insecurity of the adolescents leads to higher use of social media.
