Domestic violence against seniors

The bachelor's thesis explains to the reader the basic concepts related to the issue of domestic violence and introduces him to the default terminology. One of the groups increasingly becoming victims of domestic violence is the seniors. Due to certain characteristics of life in old age, such as social isolation, dependence on others, or adverse socioeconomic factors, they represent a very vulnerable group. The main work will be to describe and analyze the phenomenon of violence against the elderly in theory, to show its causes, to acquaint with the possibilities of solutions and methods of prevention. In the practical part of the thesis, it will find out to what extent and form domestic violence is currently committed against the elderly in a selected retirement home for the elderly. In order to meet the objectives, a questionnaire survey method will be used for seniors living in a residential facility, on the basis of which responses will subsequently be identified, which will be evaluated and interpreted.

Trauma nurses in providing nursing care and prevention options

The thesis is focused on the issue of injury to nurses in providing nursing care and disease, which is due to an injury risk. It also deals with back pain, total prevention of the problems and possibilities of compensation for work injuries. In connection with the issues I have set goals and determine whether the respondents comply with established nursing standards and whether they last three years has been injuries in connection with the provision of nursing care. Furthermore, if the respondents know the correct procedure in injuries of the needle used, whether the value of container used for disposal of infectious waste for safe and whether they suffer from back pain lately. I believe that the specific targets of the thesis managed to meet the total. In a benefit for working professionals could be a picture of the issues presented by the selected workplaces. Suggesting the need to continue to pursue the above-mentioned topic.

Comparing the risk behaviour of adolescents aged 16-17 in different secondary schools in two chosen regions

Title: Comparing the risk behaviour of adolescents aged 16 - 17 in different secondary schools in two chosen regions ABSTRACT: The diploma work focuses on adolescent drug abuse and it is especially targeted on sixteen and seventeen-year-old students of secondary schools. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is written as a literature search /recherche/, in which the targeted group is described and also the characteristics of chosen addictive drugs and risks connected to the drug abuse are introduced. In addidtion to this, the realised researches aimed to addictive drugs are delivered there and also at the end of this part the prevention policy is briefly entered up. In the practical part the provided researches are described. The questionnaries were handed out to students of secondary schools in Prague and Klatovy. The results are analysed and discussed in this part as well as the confrontation of results got in both places. The results confirmed that the place, or more precisely the town, does not influence the addiction to smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. On the contrary, talking about illegal drugs, the Prague respondents are more experienced with illegal drugs than those in Klatovy. System of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic - its determinants and ways out

This thesis deals with the System of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic and the increasing number of children in institutional care. While processing was used mainly qualitative methods of collecting data through its own survey in the offices of municipalities with extended competence of employees engaged in the exercise of social and legal protection of children and interviews with selected staff of facilities for institutional care. There was also carried out a secondary analysis of data. Finally, there are some partial measures, whose implementation could improve the situation of vulnerable children in society and reduce the number of children placed in institutional care.

Prevention of burnout syndrome of primary school teachers

The thesis deals with the issue of burnout syndrome. The elementary terms of the burnout syndrome symptom are defined in the theoretical part, based on the study of specialized literature. This part is focused on the possibility of diagnosis, causes and prevention of burnout syndrome. The practical part deals with empirical research. Based on the collected questionnaire data it maps the effect of stress on teachers in connection with their profession. The measures that could contribute to prevent possibility of burnout syndrome of the primary school teachers were stated at the end of the practical part.

Prevention of Violence in the Elderly

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of prevention in the field of violence among seniors. The aim of this work is to find out whether and how the seniors have and get information about the possibilities of solving situations in the area of violence against seniors. Another task of my work was to set a research question and sub-goals. Informants were selected on the basis of availability. The main prerequisite was the willingness of the aforementioned informants to participate in this bachelor thesis. The research group consisted of 10 informants. For greater clarity, the data were further processed using the tuft method and SWOT analysis. Research suggests that seniors' awareness of this issue is insufficient. The results of this bachelor thesis can be beneficial both for individual devices and for seniors themselves.

Prevention of Violence in the Elderly

The aim of this bachelor's work was to find out, if the representative seniors have information about possibilities by dealing with situations in the sphere of violence against seniors. I described basic therms related to the given topic in the theoretic part of this work. In the practical part I subsequentaly answered the question, how the representative seniors would solve the situations, which show characteristic of the violence against seniors. I did the research qualitative with the aid of method of polystandardized interviews. These interviews and all the data were analysed through the method of creating bunches and the SWOT analysis was used for a major clarity. The selective set was built of the seniors at the age of 65 and older, who differed in sociodemographic parametres. It follows from the results of the research, that the seniors do not have enough information about possibilities by dealing with situations in the sphere of violence against seniors and so they do not have a clear vision how to solve these situations. In my opinion this result is very unsatisfactory because seniors are interested in gaining of new and useful information in this sphere. The results of this work served not only to finishing of this work, but also to change, which will be subsequently realized in both organizations. The both organizations decided to take action to improve the prevention and awareness of seniors.

The bachelor thesis deals with a characterization of crime prevention, focusing on selected prevention programs and new modern trends in crime prevention. The thesis addresses basic concepts, typologies of crime prevention, kinds and structure. It points out to the development of crime prevention in the Czech Republic and selected programs. A part of the thesis specifies some modern trends in crime prevention that are used in the Czech Republic. This work can serve students as an overview of crime prevention programs as well as it can be of information benefit to the general public
