The final work of the Bachelor degree titled Living in us deals with iconographic and iconological aspects of certain themes of contemporary visual culture. The educational file of work is represented by an accompanying installation program of works by Adriena Simotova. The artistically applied theme rellies on the direct coherent phenomenon of 30 Advertising. The result is an advert on Christianity which I created in accordance with the results of the questionairre. These outlined ' today's person's' idea of paradise which became the motive for a completed advertising leaflet.
The analysis of the textbooks and the creating of the learning texts about the thematic unit of carbohydrates and their metabolism for the gymnasial grammar schools
Šmídl, Milan ; Škoda, Jiří (advisor) ; Kolář, Karel (referee) ; Solárová, Marie (referee)
1 Abstract: The main parameters describing content and the accessibility of information from textbooks are many aspects such as text difficulty and others. Individual characteristics of pupils - that are represented by chosen student preconceptions and misconceptions - also belong to key factors. The providing of the comprehensive view of the issues regarding analysis and the linking of acquired pieces of knowledge with the practical textbook creation have been the main aims of this dissertation. The creation of an instructional text follows the analysis results of the topic carbohydrates and their metabolism in chosen textbooks and the preconception analysis of biochemical terms. The instructional text respects the results of the analysis. The theoretical background of textbook creation (the functions of textbooks, their structure, content, characteristics and investigated parameters) has been described in detail in the theoretical part of this doctoral thesis. It is followed by the survey of the information concerning student preconceptions and the possibilities for their analysis and use in teaching. The aspects of textbooks use from the perspective of pupils, teachers and publishers, as well as the relation of the topic carbohydrates and their metabolism to curriculum documents have been described in...

Attitudes towards teaching mathematics focusing on fractions
Moulisová, Martina ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor) ; Slezáková, Jana (referee)
This diploma thesis is concerned with the attitude towards teaching mathematics focusing on teaching fractions. The first part pays attention to the attitudes towrsd teaching and specifies two different styles, classical and constructivism. In case of constructivism, I also pay attention to the term genetic constructivism in connection to Hejný's methodology. After that I present teaching methodology and roles of teacher. The other part of this piece of work engages in fractions especially in children pre- concepts and developing activities which lead to understanding fractions. This piece of work answers the question on how to cope with pre-concept knowledge and in which way it should be developed. I present different kinds of models of fractions and how to work with them in practical part of this thesis. The aim of the practical part is to map the attitudes towards teaching fractions and work with pre-concepts of beginning teachers which is made by interviewing 4 teachers and observing their lessons. Those interviews are analyzed in practical part and the answers of respondents are compared to each other as well as to my expected answers. The reflection of observing the lesson is full of activities which may lead to understanding fractions. At the end I summarize the results of the analysis of...

Aim of the study is to focus on pupils' perceive of challenging probability problems within the second stage of primary school (age 12-15), especially aimed at pupils' mental blocks in intuitive and false beliefs or conjectures on the probability of events. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic terms correlated with propedeutics of probability. The practical part of the work pursues intuitive solving of the challenging probability problems, especially of the Monty Hall problem. In the thesis research will be applied: the questionnaire method, tasks including probability problems, (group) work observation and examination of reasoning behind the probability problems followed by interviews with pupils focused on probability misconception phenomena. Findings of this study will be based on collected data analytics and a résumé of pupils' preconceptions about the field of probability and their ability to accept reeducation to their own-made misconceptions. Stříbná, Karolína ; Babušová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Štěpáník, Stanislav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with constructivism and how best to employ it in teaching communication and text classes at elementary schools. It also explores possibilities of using constructivism when new text types are being implemented into the educational process. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the constructivist way of teaching in general and it's basis for teaching the Czech language in particular. It also contains an analysis of the available teaching materials and a view of the specialised literature on teaching communication and text classes. The practical part presents a research into the pupils' preconcepts about selected text types. The two text types selected for this research are letter and instruction manual. The research is followed by an analysis and an interpretation, which might be useful in teaching about the selected text types. The conclusion provides recommendations for implementing the selected text types into Czech language classes.
