Physics Simulation for Pinball Game
Čermák, Jakub ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Zachariáš, Michal (advisor)
The objective of this work is to create a library for physical simulation and using the library to create a game of pinball, on which you can test functionality of the library. Problems that appeared during the creation of the library, are described in this paper along with their solutions. In particular, tunneling, detection and results of collisions. Subsequent optimization solutions to these problems for our specific library. Of no smaller importance are principles which reduce the requirements of the final simulation. Among the most important ones are the correct choice of limits, detection of rolling and sleep of slowly moving dynamic objects.
Piercing the Corporate Veil - Selected Issues in International Comparison
Kostohryz, Milan
Milan Kostohryz Piercing the Corporate Veil - Selected Issues in International Comparison Abstract The main purpose of the thesis is to give recommendation for possible application of the piercing doctrine in the Czech Republic. Secondary purposes are (i) analysis of effects caused by disregarding the principles of limited liability and separate legal personality because of piercing and (ii) detailed description of approaches to the piercing issue in selected legal systems (USA, UK and Germany). The thesis starts with some terminological issues; it introduces the possible Czech equivalents of the notion "piercing the corporate veil" and explains that it can have slightly different meaning depending on the individual author. The differences stem especially from the questions whether piercing negates only the principle of limited liability or also the principle of separate personality; whether so called inner piercing (Innenhaftung) shall be part of the doctrine and whether the piercing doctrine shall be regarded as product of case-law only. Also some special forms of piercing (reverse piercing, lateral piercing and insider piercing) are introduced. The third chapter analyses the relationship between the piercing doctrine and the principles of limited liability and separate legal personality. In particular it...
Intersection of solids
Otrubová, Anna ; Hromadová, Jana (advisor) ; Šarounová, Alena (referee)
The four chapters of this diploma thesis introduce a survey of the basic intersection types of solids, the focus being placed on the intersection of two pyramid and prisma solids, acting as a counterweight to most textbooks' interest in intersection of curved surfaces. The first chapter provides a detailed, wide-ranging insight into the issue of the solid and line intersection. The conclusion part of the thesis provides the reader with a brief commentary on the used literature. The work is supplemented with figures and example solutions. In the appendix part are found pre-drawn assignments. The enclosed CD contains complementary materials such as step by step solutions and 3D models created in the GeoGebra software along with drawn problems found especially in upper secondary school geometry textbooks and curriculum.
Evolution of the arcade central in sacral architecture and its importance in the penetration baroque Architecture
Galia, Milan ; Lunger Štěrbová, Daniela (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
Evolution of the arcade center in sacral architecture and its importance in the penetration baroque Architecture Anotace: The topic of my diploma thesis will be a central unit, whose main architectural motif is a series of arcades. As such, it is specific to the Baroque architecture and I believe that it forms the core of so-called penetrating architecture. After describing the genesis of this type in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, I will try to introduce the meaning of the arcade headquarters within the baroque architecture of southern Germany (especially Bavaria and Frank) and Bohemia - in the areas they have adopted and creatively developed the ideas of complex and penetrating plan layouts. The aim of the thesis is to try to create a different perspective on the formation of the radical Baroque architecture in the Central European space. Keywords: baroque, architecture, space, arcade, building, penetration
Vliv počáteční vlhkosti dřeva smrku na příjem ochranného prostředku podtlakově-přetlakovou impregnací
Novák, Ivo
The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the initial wood moisture of the spruce wood (Picea abies) on the intake and the penetration of the protecting agent using overpressure-vacuum impregnation. The aim of the thesis is the determination of the optimal initial wood moisture of the spruce wood samples treated by impregnation agent Bochemit FORTE PROFI using Bethell method. In this work logs with radius from 15 cm to 23 cm and thickness 10 cm were used as samples. Based on the results the level of intake of the penetration agent is higher when the wood moisture is decreased under 10 % or at the fiber saturation point of wood. On the contrary, the penetration is deepest in samples with 60 % wood moisture and in the fresh wood. According to the results the initiative wood moisture of the wood has an impact on the impregnation proces.
Thought intersections of philosophy and mathematics
Hlavešová, Ilona ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Blažková, Miloslava (referee)
The submitted thesis addresses the ideas that are at the intersections of philosophy and mathematics. These intersections have been in the course of the history as follows: Numerical ratios, the concept of infinity, continuum partition, space specification, determinism versus randomness and exploring of the mathematics foundations with an overlap into philosophy. The results herewith presented have been achieved on the basis of the HTF lectures and seminars, available literature, my own knowledge and reasoning. The thesis documents processes of how mathematics stimulated certain philosophical principles and vice versa how mathematics was influenced by philosophical views. Last but not least, there are presented comparisons between philosophic propositions and the current mathematics and physics knowledge in the mentioned intersections.
