Quality management and Food Quality Labels on the Example of a Selected Company

The master thesis deals with quality management and quality labels in the food industry. The topic is solved from a theoretical and practical point of view. This topic is addressed in a specific company. I deal with whether product certification can be significantly supported by system certification (certified quality management system). A company with a system certification, that strives to obtain product certification. It has a better chance of obtaining product certification.
Security of Work with Electronic Data in Industrial Enterprises

The aim of this thesis is not only to characterise the key terms related to this field, but also to analyse the possible solutions to the area in a particular industrial enterprise in the Czech Republic by means of a case study which is a reliable method of qualitative research. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the terms such as information, electronic data, know-how, enterprise information systems, cybercrime, and cyberterrorism are defined. The practical part drawing on the theoretical part gives a thorough analysis of the initial state of an industrial enterprise in food industry. Furthermore, it deals with the implementation of the ECM (Enterprise Content Management) which is considered a possible solution to the security of work with electronic data in industrial enterprise.

This thesis examines the industry from a geographic perspective. It deals with the changes in the location of breweries in the Czech Republic since the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. The basis of the work are author's digitized data about the existence of breweries that are cartographically shown at work. Using these maps and the available literature is then applied analysis. The work also includes a summary of the most important milestones in the history of economy, industry in the Czech Republic and is estimated the situation in brewing in the near future. Proactive Risk Analysis in Business Practice - Methods and Procedures

The diploma thesis deals with proactive risk analysis in company X, which manufactures mainly meat products. The thesis is divided into 2 parts. The first part concentrates on theoretical knowledge including a list of methods suitable for risk analysis. This part also includes the introduction of the company, description of processes into the company, and actual risk management. The second part includes risk analysis with the IPR method and FMEA method. Based on the results of the applied methods, measures to minimize the identified risks are proposed at the end of the work.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify factors that influence the profitability of companies in the food industry. The work focuses on the relationship between asset profitability and inventory, receivables and liabilities turnover. Data was obtained from Orbis database. In the empirical analysis is Pearson's correlation coefficients and multi-dimensional regression models compiled. There is a sepa-rate model for each Member State. Examined period is the year 2016.
Hodnocení dopadu veřejné podpory na konkurenceschopnost firem v potravinářském průmyslu ČR

The thesis takes a look at the influence of public support on the competitiveness of a company in the Czech food industry. Research is based on the relationship between the amount of support and financial performance of the supported companies in the Op-erational Programme Enterprise and Innovation (OPEI) programme which took place 2007–2013. The analysis was carried out within the food industry in the Czech Republic with the use of existing company data. The method is focused on the application of counterfac-tual and regression analysis. The results of the counterfactual analysis showed that public support has a positive impact on the researched companies. The companies that received a subsidy under the OPEI programme showed better results and higher values of the monitored indicators (total assets, return on assets – ROA, price-cost margin – PCM, labour productivity). The impact of the effect of the support was not observed in the return on equity – ROE and sales, but ROE was more stable during the period under review and sales grew in-tensively. The regression analysis of the effect of the selected factors on the PCM of supported enterprises showed that the size of the company and the amount of subsidies received had a positive effect on the PCM of the supported enterprises, while higher indebted-ness caused a decline in the PCM.
Obchodovanie s palmovým olejom v potravinárstve ČR

The bachelor thesis is focused on the level of palm trading in the food industry of the Czech republic. At the same time, it deals with palm oil utilization in the manufacturing process of companies that use palm oil as one of their main inputs for their products. Another intention was find out which companies in Czech republic did not use palm oil in their production and how they replace it. A proportion of bachelor thesis is also focused on the question of substitution. The aim was to find out why palm oil is irreplaceable for the majority of food companies and vice versa, for what reasons are some companies strictly for non-use it.
Stevia rebaudiana - food and pharmaceutical industry applications

Martin Drastík, Ph.D. Title: Stevia rebaudiana - food and pharmaceutical industry applications The first part of this thesis deals with the description of the plant and its substances, the most important are steviolglycosides, especially stevioside and rebaudioside A. In the following chapter, the toxicity and safety are evaluated, which is directly related to the use of stevia and steviolglycosides in food and pharmaceutical practice. In the next part, the utilization in the food industry and connected legislation is described. The harmfulness of the refined sugar is outlined as well. Application in the pharmacy is not so widespread, therefore this chapter deals primarily with the effects of steviolglycosides. Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni and steviolglycosides have great potential to replace sugar and other sweeteners. Due to their beneficial effects, they are very popular among researchers, so we can look forward to their widespread application in food and pharmaceutical industry in the near future.
