Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development

The aim of the diploma thesis „Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development“ is based on an analysis of working styles of man and woman lead with regard to defining the specifics of women's leadership in comparison to men. The theoretical part provides basic terms related to this topic, especially the gender, and the related stereotypes. Adequate attention is paid to the current situation in management from the women’s perspective. Empirical part documents the course of quantitative research performed in the company, when the style of leadership has been studied in accordance with the stated hypotheses. At the end the summary of the findings is discussed in the context of their potential contribution to the company's experience in the field of management and cultivation of human resources.
Gender inequalities in the Czech labour market from the perspective of women in managerial positions - a case study

This bachelor thesis deals with gender inequalities in the Czech labour market. More specifically, it focuses on women in managerial positions and tries to find out from what perspective we should look at the issue. The choice of this specific group of women is as follows because they are the ones who have gone through the entire career process to the highest management positions. An important partial objective is the related factors that can influence the participation of women in the labour market. The bachelor thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is theoretical and concerns the issue of vertical gender segregation. It introduces the basic concepts, substantial statistics, and previous research on the subject. The second part outlines the basic and partial aims of the bachelor thesis and related research questions. The third part deals with methodology and method of data analysis. It also contains individual stories of respondents. This is the last practical part that focuses on specific results and findings. These are interpreted in connection with the theoretical anchor and extend the previous research on the subject.

Selected socioeconomic barriers of education in Sub-Saharan Africa Abstract The aim of bachelor thesis is to describe and understand the process of education in Sub-Saharan Africa and analyze components that cause limited access to education. The first part of the thesis describes the process of education in Sub-Saharan Africa using selected indicators. The second main part focuses on the description and possible relations between selected socioeconomic barriers and literacy. Selected barriers include poverty, child labor and position of women in the society. The analysis revealed that existing relation between selected socioeconomic barriers and education has only low dependency rate and have to be understand more likely as a trend. In my bachelor's work I am analyzing the position of the black population within the Latin American society in the 19th century. Furthermore the topic is extenden by handling the issue of women's position in the mentioned society, which is often presented as a parallel to the problem of the black ethnic group. I have chosen to base my work primarilly on the controversial novel Sab written by Gertrudis Goméz de Avellaneda which is precisely depicting the object of this study. The Jasmine Revolution and the position of Women in Tunisian Society: Development Before and After

The extensive revolutionary wave called the Arab Spring, which broke out at the end of 2010 in Tunisia, has brought about unseen changes in the political and social configuration of the Arab world. Protests were marked by extraordinary support across all social classes and especially in the case of Tunisia women played a significant role in the success of the revolution and the pursuing of political reforms. For this reason, the main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse and compare the position of women in Tunisian society before and after the revolution on the turn of the years 2010 and 2011. The comparison focuses on three main areas: politics, law and economics. Deriving from the conclusions of this assessment, the thesis also aims at revealing more general tendencies of the political and social development of Tunisia after the Arab Spring. The thesis analyses the development of the status of women, including legislation concerned with gender, from Tunisia's acquiring of independence from France in 1956 until the adoption of a new democratic constitution at the beginning of 2014. Considerable attention is paid at the watershed events of the Tunisian Revolution and their effects on the society as a whole, with particular emphasis on the changes in the position of women in the public sphere....
The position of women in labour law

This thesis is aiming to carry out an analysis of women's position in labour law. The most emphasis is put on present enactment performed by act no. 262/2006 Coll., the Labour Code, thus the regulation of women's specific occupational conditions (in particular prohibition of some occupations, transfer to a different assignment, business trip, breast-feeding breaks and other rights of female employees), protection of pregnant women's employment and employment of child-caring female as well as male employees, and also maternity leave and parental leave as types of embarrassment in work. The attention is paid also to financial aid in maternity and family benefit, i.e. benefits regulated by social insurance law. The thesis also refers to regulation of women's position in service relationship, which is enacted in relevant statutes. Attention is given also to principle of equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination and their present enactment contained not only in the Labour Code but also in other relevant statutes, especially in act no. 198/2009 Coll., the Anti-discrimination Act.
