Rhythms of restlessness
Hudecová, Stanislava ; Kadlčák, Šimon (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis Rhythms of restlessness I adress, through personal associations and memories, the themes of work ethics and the capitalist-oriented culture of today's society. In an installation made up of a series of objects and drawings embedded within them, I materialize my intimate attitudes or feelings by combining moments from memories with moments from everyday routine activities that are an overlooked part of our everyday "autopilot" functioning. The office chair here acts as a memory, metaphor or symbol of working, and its various manipulations across the installation carry references to my associations associated with this phenomenon. Through this work, I explore the relationships of my immediate surroundings to what it means to function in today's success-oriented rather than happiness-oriented time, and it also serves as a way for me personally to become aware of my own place in the context of my artistic practice. The work builds on my previous projects, in which I have often explored themes of my own intimacy and psychology in the context of functioning in today's world. It is closely related to my most recent work entitled Bedroom Routines, which metaphorically worked through domestic routines and moments, following a stylized character who is my "avatar" in the work.

Vlachová, Sandra ; Písaříková, Jana (referee) ; Kvíčala, Petr (advisor)
My Bachelor's thesis is called Hospital. It contains my memories, that I written down during my hospitalization, and then brought to life on the canvas. The main theme are the painful thoughts that ran thought my mind while I was in the hospital. My thesis presents a diary record, which serves as a main source of inspiration for my paintings, as well as a technical record. The main point of my thesis is the subsequent trauma - dealing with the scars, accepting yourself. From the beginning of my studies, I have been devoted to the motifs of architecture, clean and clear colors with fine lines and geometric shapes. My work was very precise and delicate. Now I present the theme of the hospital, connecting my interest in architecture with more personal themes. My stay in the hospital, trauma, and pain. Which reminds me of the book Umlčené tělo (Murphy 2001), which contains and incredible story about the author's life before and after his illness. This book has been a great inspiration to me.

The topic of my bachelor thesis is Photography and the Author's Book. I deal in it with a brief chronological history of the medium of photography and, in a little more detail, with contemporary photography. After the author's book, the work moves on to the combination of the author's book and photography and photographic publications. Then, the various author's files, photography books, author's books and visual files are mentioned in the thesis, which are also described in terms of how they work with text, photography and their overall visuality. All of these publications are contemporary productions in the Czech Republic, no more than 5 years old, and their subject matter is similar to that of my author's photography book (nature, feelings, music), which I describe in detail in the artistic part of the thesis. The artistic part consists of an author's photographic project presented in the form of an author's book, in which I try to connect the theme of nature, feelings with images accompanied by music. I also incorporate other elements into my work - artefacts, natural objects and glass fragments that I have collected during my photographic...
