KREJČOVÁ, Kateřina

Crisis management, examples of crises, documentation related to crisis management and residential social services are also described here. The practical part of the thesis includes the processing and evaluation of results obtained through research investigation. The thesis aimed to determine how residential social services are managed during crisis situations. A qualitative research strategy, an interview method and a semi-structured interview technique were chosen to fulfil the aim of the thesis. The main research question is: How are residential social services managed during crisis situations? The communication partners are managers of residential social services in the Tabor district who expressed an interest in participating in the research. Data analysis - open and axial coding - was used in the evaluation of the obtained data. The research indicates that although leading staff members of residential social services approach crisis management individually, they share a common emphasis on readiness for crisis situations, quick and effective crisis resolution, and subsequent evaluation, from which they draw insights and lessons for future crisis situations. The diploma thesis could contribute as feedback for the managers of residential social services who participated in the research, and it can also be used as informational material for the public.
Age Management in Residential Social Services
NEDBALOVÁ, Aneta
The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out how age management is implemented in residential social services in the district of Jindřichův Hradec from the point of view of management and control of residential social services. The first partial objective was to find out the experience from the point of view of the management of residential social services with the implementation of age management. The second partial objective was to find out what procedures residential social services have in the context of age management. The third partial objective was to find out whether and how do the residential social services work with the Work Ability Index. The research part was carried out on the basis of a qualitative research strategy. The method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview were used. The data were processed using open coding and thematic analysis. The informants were selected on the basis of a total selection through institutions. The research sample consisted of 7 informants, who were managers of residential social services. The research has found that only elements of age management are used in residential social services, not the whole concept. The managers have experience with only certain elements and it has been shown that they are often not sufficiently informed about age management. However, many different procedures are implemented in the addressed organizations that are a part of age management, even if the managers are not aware that these are parts of age management. Unfortunately, none of the organizations uses the Work Ability Index tool. This diploma thesis can be beneficial for students of social services management and managers of residential social services, to whom it provides inspiration and insight on the use of age management elements in residential social services.
