Hiporehabilitation as a means for (re)socializing people with spinal lesions

The diploma thesis deals with hyporehabilitation and its influence on the (re) socialization of people with spinal cord lesions in adulthood. The theoretical part deals with physical disability and then defines the spinal cord injury and its consequences reflected in the life of the individual and the individual social aspects into which the disability is intertwined. We also deal with hyporehabilitation and its division into individual categories and their goals. Hyporerehabilitation is introduced as a possible way for the resocialization of people with spinal lesions. In this work we will introduce the individual components of hipporehabilitation and introduce ways of working with clients in individual areas. Each area is aimed at developing a different aspect of human personality. In all areas, we emphasize and raise the impact on physical disability and personality traits that form specifically spinal lesions. For each type of hiporebilitation, we indicate its goal of action. People with disabilities entering university

This bachelor thesis focuses on people with disabilities entering university at a specific stage of the life cycle. This particular stage of the life cycle is called emerging adulthood and includes the age range from 18 to 25. These young adults are experiencing an important milestone in their lives. In this case, this life milestone is entering university. This group of people has to deal not only with their disability but also with the pressure associated with this life stage. This the pressure is mainly from their family and college, but also from the whole society. The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to find out the conditions of people with sensory and physical disabilities at Charles University when they are entering the university and during their subsequent studies at this university. I tried to map the stage of emerging adulthood in these people and reveal some common features. The other goal was to reveal the most common obstacles that these students may encounter on their journey to obtain a university degree. Education of pupils in the Jedlička Institute and Schools

This diploma thesis "Education of Pupils at Jedlička Institute and Schools" contains information about physically disabled pupils. The aim of the diploma thesis was to discover the needs and methods of physically disabled pupils' education. The research was focused on what teaching methods, didactic tools, compensation aids and other means and access to pupils are used by teachers at primary school. The diploma thesis includes an analysis of an asset of Jedlička Institute and Schools. The research uses the following methods: structured interviews with teachers and participant observation at primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis comprises kinds of physical disability, combined disability, Jedlička Institute and Schools and information about education of physically disabled pupils and pupils with combined disability. The practical part of the thesis deals with an interaction between pupils and teachers, with cerebral palsy, teaching methods and pupils' needs. Examining selected circadian determinant for disabled

Circadian rhytms are rhytmical changes which can be found in numerous functions of human organism at cellular and organ level. For example sleep and vigil, body temperature, hormone release etc. This thesis deals with circardian determinants of Rehabilitation Institute Kladruby clients who have physical disabilites. Practical part is based on standartized questionnaire Circadian typology CIT Harada & Krejčí (2010) which has been filled by 77 Rehabilitation Institute Kladruby clients. In my thesis, I mostly deal with the following topics: what the conditions of quality of sleep in Rehabilitation Institute Kladruby are and whether physical disabilities influence the quality of sleep. The results proved, that Rehabilitation Institute Kladruby clients have rarely problems with falling asleep. Most of the interviewed participants fall asleep within fifteen minutes since lying down. Problems come duing the night when 26 % of men and 41,3 % of women wake up three or more times.
Leisure time for children with physical disabilities

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of leisure time of children with physical disabilities. It is focused on sports activities as one of the possibilities these children can spend their leisure time. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the reader to the issue of leisure time of children with physical disabilities, to map and theoretically describe the possibilities of selected leisure time activities suitable for children who are motion restricted due to their disability, and in a wider context to think about the importance of these activities for their life. It is a theoretical work that defines and connects the basic concepts of leisure time, pedagogy of leisure time, physical disabilities and selected sports activities for disabled children.
Self-concept of people with limited mobility

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the issue of the self-concept in case of physically disabled people. The theoretical part is dedicated to handicaps and physical disability divided into congenital and gained ones, chronic and movement disabilities. Furthermore, there is the characterization of chosen physical disabilities, disabled person and his position in society. The aim of the practical part is to find out the concept of life, both in case of congenital and gained disability, also the difference between men's and women's perception of the world. The research was done by quantitative questionnaire accessible on Facebook page of Kvadru, o.p.s., supplemented by the interview with Martin Olišar. the founder of Kvadru o.p.s. and disabled himself. The research shows that there is no visible difference in self-concept in case of congenital and gained disabilities. However, there is the difference between men's and women's perception of society's reaction. The Influence of Motional Activities on the Life of People with Physical Disabilities

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to describe the inuence of physical activities on people with physical disabilities on their physical and mental health and their socialization. A physical disability is a limitation on a person's physical functioning and mobility. It can be divided into several groups (polio, deformation, malformation, amputation or combined disability). Physical activities of people with physical disabilities are generally benecial as they positively inuence peoples mental health and socialization and may also avoid the formation of new health problems. People with physical disabilities can either join the Paralympic federation and participate in competitive sport or join other associations and clubs to participate in a physical activities just for joy and health benets. A quantitative survey was conducted and displayed graphically. The respondents were physically active people with physical disabilities from the Czech Republic. The goal of the questionnaire was to describe the inuence of physical activity on physical and mental health and socialization of physically disabled people. The correlation between dierent physical activities and magnitude of benecial eects was also studied. As a result, physical activities had an overall positive eect on physical and mental health, there were minimum negative eects. No correlation between the physical activity and the magnitude of eects was observed. The results of this thesis can serve as an informational source of suitable and unsuitable physical activities and inuence of physical activities on physically disabled people.
