Chov sklípkanů (Mygalomorphae) v zoologických zahradách

The content of the thesis is a summary of the current knowledge on the biology of the mygalomorphae (Mygalomorphae) together with an evaluation of the results of its breeding in zoological gardens in the Czech Republic and its placement in the context of European zoological gardens. As background data for the evaluation of breeding in the Czech Republic, the yearbooks of the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoological Gardens (USCZOO) from 2013-2022 are used. As a source of data for the evaluation of the breeding of the skink in Europe, the international database ZIMS (Zoological Information Management System) is used, from which a report up-to-date as of March 2024 was used.
Comparison of free available software for the calculation of electric network parameters

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare freely available software for calculating the parameters of electrical networks. The first part is used to give an idea how to operate in the programs Sichr, DOC, Spider (xSpider) and ~ SIMARIS design and their evaluation in terms of usability, requirements, graphical interface and controllability. Furthermore, a technical analysis of specific topologies of specified distribution networks is performed in the work. In the second part, the calculation of network parameters was performed using the SW above. Finally, the realized calculations of voltage drops and short-circuit currents using individual programs were compared with each one another.

A Low Voltage Wiring System for an Office Block

This paper describes the design of a low voltage network in an office building. In the beginning work is given for the theoretical part of the topics that we need to create a network design in a given building. In this part of the guiding principles are conductor sizing, fuse wires and a selection of protective devices. Everything was sought in scientific publications and Articles. The theoretical part will be followed by a practical part with the first adjusted underlying schema, and then will address a practical design using programs supplied by the company Eaton. The goal of this work is to get acquainted theoretically with the main principles of network design, and then practically with your programs and create a complete network design of the building.
Implementation of kinematics algorithms for the four legged mobile robot

The goal of the work is restore a quadruped walking spider-type robot named Jaromír. Part of the work is a body design that is then printed on a 3D printer. Another part is the design and creation of a new control board, which’ll include sensor equipment appropriate for robot operation. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the design of the tactile sensor’s and their fitting on the legs. The final part is implementation of the algorithm for robot control. The goal was to put the model to a state where it could be used for learning and presentations.
Tool for Automatic Information Obtaning from the Web

This bachelor thesis deals with programming of a tool for collecting positive and negative comments from one of the most popular Chinese e-shop to a database. It will be used for deep learning of an artificial neural network which should distinguish positive text from negative. Application was programmed in Java with the use of JSON-simple and jsoup libraries.
Karyotype evolution of selected families of entelegyne spiders

The Araneoidea superfamily is a diverse clade of spiders with a great species diversity. The whole superfamily displays considerable conservativeness of observed karyotypes. Most likely ancestral karyotype in males is 24 acrocentric chromosomes with X1X2 sex determination system. The goal of this study is to explore the karyotype diversity of two araneoid families - Araneidae and Mimetidae. The majority of studied species exhibit the ancestral karyotype. In some species of the aformentioned families was observed sudden increase in chromosome numbers, up to 2n♂ = 52 in Araneidae and up to 2n♂ = 57 in Mimetidae. The latter number is the highest chromosome count observed in Entelegynae so far. Increase in 2n goes hand in hand with increase in sex chromosome numbers, leading up to X1X2X3X40 system in Araneidae and up to X1X2X3X4X5X6X70 in Mimetidae. I suggest polyploidy as a possible mechanism of the increase. To test this hypothesis, I measured the size of the genome using flow cytometry and used fluorescence in situ hybridization for the detection of 18S rRNA and 5S rRNA genes. Impact of endosymbiotic bacteria on the capacity of host spiders (Araneae) to provide ecosystem services

The impact of the microbial community as well as individual strains of endosymbiotic bacteria on spider hosts has only begun to be increasingly studied in the last 20 years. This is primarily due to new molecular methods and devices, but on the other hand also to a growing desire to unravel the mechanisms behind the ability of spiders to provide ecosystem services. Their unique contribution lies in their high diversity, their generalist hunting strategy, and their efficient long-distance dispersal called ballooning. However, their abilities are possibly affected by the tiny organisms inhabiting their tissues - from the haemolymph to the digestive tract and the reproductive organs. In this work, attention is paid to the aspects that are influenced or manipulated by microbes for the purpose of their own transmission. Studies investigating known reproductive manipulators such as Wobachia, Cardinium or Rickettsia are summarized. The work summarizes recent findings in the areas of the impact of endosymbiotic bacteria on metabolic pathways and nutritional support, but also on behavioral aspects such as predatory/antipredatory behavior, defense against parasitoids or pathogens, and dispersal or avoidance of stress. Karyotype evolution of African clades of theraphosid mygalomorphs

Karyotypes of mygalomorph spiders are not satisfactorily known. This thesis is focused on the basic cytogenetic analysis of selected species of African clades of theraphosid mygalomorphs. It includes four subfamilies: Eumenophorinae, Harpactirinae, Ischnocolinae and Stromatopelminae. Diploid numbers, chromosome morphology, sex chromosome systems and chromosome behaviour in male germline in the selected species of African theraphosid subfamilies were studied. The findings support published results, that refer of high karyotype diversity in Theraphosidae. Diploid chromosome number reduction is probably a basic trend of theraphosid karyotype evolution. The majority of analysed species exhibited one, two or three sex chromosomes. In some species neo-sex chromosome systems were found. In some species one or two sex chromosome pairs (SCP), composed of chromosomes which lack morphological differentiation were detected. Nucleolus organizer regions were detected by fluorescent in situ hybridization in several species. Constitutive heterochromatin detection was performed by C-banding in two species.
