Study of the square in České Skalice

The aim of the diploma thesis is to design a suitable layout of the square in České Skalice. The work deals with the design of parking places, bus bays, barrier-free sidewalks and the design of pedestrian crossings and places for crossing. The other part is the layout of greenery and the improvement of the center of the square. In the framework of the work, three variants of the arrangement were elaborated. The most preferred option was further elaborated.
Park&Ride system in Brno region

The intensity of car traffic grows worldwide every year. This issue is being resolved by establishing Park&Ride car parks, a combination of car and public transport, at city outskirts. Their purpose is to reduce car congestion. This thesis focuses on targeting the most convenient locations of Park&Ride car parks for passengers travelling to Brno from west and southwest directions – specifically parts of the Brno-venkov and Znojmo districts, with overlap to the Třebíč and Žďár nad Sázavou districts in the Vysočina region. A part of this process is also to evaluate the optimal car park capacity required. The conclusion presents a comparison of the journey time by car alone and that of the Park&Ride system.
Detached House with car repair service in Humpolec

The thesis deals with a detached house with a car repair service. It´s lately erected building of detached house with flat roof structure situated in Humpolec, Větrná Street. The building is designed as a three-storeyed detached house with basement for four people. Parking place for two cars and structure of outdoor wooden terrace on the first floor is included to the property. The detached house is followed by the establishment of the car repair service. It´s determinated for mechanical repairing cars. There is another parking place for four cars located near the car repair service. The building plan uses load-bearing vertical structure of ceramic system Porotherm, horizontal structure consists of prestressed and reinforced concrete panels Spiroll board.
Completion of a city block Urban development study of a city block between the streets Koliště, Cejl a Vlhká

An elaborate territory spanning the streets of Koliště, Cejl and Vlhká is situated near the historical core of the city. The character of the neighborhood lies in the historical events of the 19th century - the disturbance of the walls and the formation of a circular class. Eight objects are designed in the designed area - 2 on the street Vlhká and 6 on the street Koliště. The effort of the project was ended with a block of the city, following the surrounding construction with mutual respect. The exterior of the objects is designed with a classic fine white color. The proposal also includes the urban area transfer to the City Directorate of the City of Brno, as well as the relocation of the Vlhká Street space to create a fully-fledged area of the square. On both streets - Koliště and Vlhká are newly-built long-standing parking places enriched by the linear planting of trees to bring greenery in the area and its surroundings. The overall concept is designed to make its functionality and disposition effective, as well as an effort to react to the surrounding environment. Designed objects completing the city block are polyfunctional objects with a vertical division functions. Part of the design is also the connection of the streets Koliště and Vlhká for the pedestrians through the passage through the inter-building between the buildings. The main idea of creating the interior is in contrast to the busy street Koliště. The proposal proposes the completion of blocks as a unification of the whole territory.
Design of Parking Meter

The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a parking meter. The work contains an analysis of current products and the design of a new product based on the information obtained. The design meets the ČSN EN 12414 standard. The parking meter emphasizes ergonomics, integrates lighting and new solar panel technologies.
Transport analysis and proposal of solution in Šlapanice

This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis and solution of selected transport modes of the town of Šlapanice in the South Moravian Region. This work contains an analysis of transport modes, especially for road transport, parking and cycling and proposes their optimization to increase safety, fluidity or comfort for residents. The first part describes the current state of road, rail, public and bicycle transport. In the second part, the work focuses on road transport, evaluated in terms of traffic safety and compliance with legislative requirements with a proposed solution. Furthermore this work solve parking, when the town of Šlapanice was divided into functional zones according to use and shortcomings were found in selected localities with stating the proposed solution. In the last part, the cycle routes are solved, their shortcomings are found and solutions are given.

Multifunctional Building Křenová

Multifunctional building Křenová is situated on a corner gap between the streets Křenová and Skořepka. The urban project is based on building the New City Street in accordance with the zoning plan of Brno. In the parterre there are designed lawns, trees and stylized water surface, which reminds the River Ponávka. Multifunctional building consists of four connected blocks. White lines of buildings are made special by pushing and pulling orange blocks. Each part has a different function. In the basement there are large parking spaces. South six-storey administration is made more interesting by inserted orange loggias, which are proposed for growing vegetation. That should make a pleasant view from the offices. Courtyard consists of a single-storey shop with a green roof. On the north side there is the six-storey residential building with extended blocks of orange terraces. Massive buildings are harmoniously connected by steel construction of library carried by thin pillars in the level of the third storey.
Human friendly design of Štefánikova street in Zlín

The aim of this thesis is to solve construction adjustments on the street Štefánikova in Zlín with intersections modifications in the affected area. The documentation contains traffic calming solution for this street and it also deals with cycle tracks. Furthermore, the work deals with appropriate adjustments on bus stops and nearby sidewalks. All construction works are designed in accordance with the valid building codes and regulations.
Research on parking in surroundings of Civil Engineering Faculty

This bachelor thesis explores stationary traffic in surroundings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The research aims to discover impacts of a recent reconstruction and a simultaneous parking charge imposition of Veveří Parking Lot on drivers’ parking habits. The thesis is based on field surveys. Acquired data are used as background information for an analysis of parking spot day occupation and parking duration. Furthermore, the data measured at the parking lot are compared with data concerning other parking possibilities in the given area. Finally, a concept suggesting an optimal usage of parking areas is presented.
