bakalářská práce Syndrom fixované míchy Bibliographic identification PEŠICOVÁ, Anežka. Tethered cord syndrome. Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Departement of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2023. 79 p. Supervisor PhDr. Petr Bitnar Ph.D. Abstract Tethered cord syndrome is a neurological condition in which either the spinal cord is anchored by thickened filum terminale or is creating adhesions with surrounding spinal tissue. Progression of such condition leads to paresis of the lower limb, back pain, scoliosis or urological dysfunction. The goal of this thesis was to create a research of available informations about tethered cord syndrome and to explore possible potentials of physiotherapy treatment. Based on the thesis findings emerged a significant potential of manual therapy while treating patients with the tethered cord. In the case study patient with tethered cord was observed over the corse of 6 months and was educated to do autotraction of the spine daily. Changes of the patient's clinical picture were evaluated based on selected standing stability parameters and measured using the Zebris FDM Tredmill system. While the control assessment a significant improvement of all the measured parameters was observed. Such result suggests a favourable effect of traction to the tethered...

Case study of the Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with Nervus Peroneus Paresis
Šímová, Lenka ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Štěpánková, Šárka (referee)
Title: Case study of the Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with Nervus Peroneus Paresis Aims: Acquisiting theoretical and practical knowledge of peripehral paresis, especially the peripheral paresis of nervus petroneus, followed-up by elaborating a casuistry of a patient diagnosed with a selected diagnosis created over the duration of practical training. Methodology: The general part of this bachelor thesis contains theoretical findings about anatomy of the peripheral nervous system, peripheral paresis clinical image, treatment and follow-up therapy. The special part contains a description of selected physioterapeutic methods in practice. Results: Reduction of a degree of shortening of selected muscles, elimination of reflexive mutations of soft tissues, renewal of joint play and strength enhancement of selected weakened muscles. Conclusion: Physiotheraphy is an integral part of peripheral paresis treatment. Key words: physiotherapy, neurology, paresis, peroneus, rehabilitation
A case report of physiotherapeutic treatment for a patient diagnosed with a post-traumatic paresis of the peroneus nerve
Ruferová, Zdeňka ; Hassmannová, Kristina (advisor) ; Bidrmanová, Hana (referee)
Title: Case report of Physiotherapeutic Treatment for a Patient Diagnosed with a posttraumatic paresis of a peroneal nerve Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to summarize existing theoretical knowledge of peripheral paresis focused on the peroneal nerve paresis. Furthermore to deliver a case report of physiotherapeutic treatment for a patient diagnosed with a post traumatic paresis of the peroneal nerve Methodology: Methods: The thesis consists of two parts. The first, general part, contains theoretical findings about the pelvic polytrauma and peroneal paresis. It also contains the most important physiotherapeutic treatment approaches and methods used to diagnose and treat peripheral paresis. The second, practical part, describes the course of treatment focused on a patient with post-traumatic peroneal paresis during my internship.. Results: The most significant results were reflected in the improvement of the quality of analytical movements, movement stereotypes and the quality of walking. There was an increase in muscle strength, partial absorption of swelling and stretching of shortened muscle groups. Keywords: rehabilitation, n. peroneus, paresis, polytrauma of pelvis, nervous system
Nursing care of patient with quadriplegia
Škodová, Tereza ; Hakenová, Renata (advisor) ; Vaňková, Milena (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on nursing care of a quadruplegic patient. The theoretical part describes anatomy and physiology of spine and spinal cord, characteristics of disability, first aid, etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics, therapy, complications and nursing care. The sources for an elaboration of the theoretical part were found in the National Medical Library, via Medvik, on Wikiscriptions, on the thesis repositories and on the Spinal Unit website. For a larger amount of resources, research was made in the National Medical Library based on keywords. For the elaboration of the practical part, a qualitative research method was chosen in the form of a case study of a patient with quadruplegia. Case study includes information from medical records, interviews with the patient and observations. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to process a case study, which includes a nursing plan of a selected patient with all the specifics, that the care for the quadruplegic patient brings us. The second goal is to raise the awareness of the care provided on the spinal unit amongst general public and healthcare commmunity. The result of the thesis is a presentation of nursing care of a selected patient with all the specifics, which are described in the case study. The case study includes details about...
