METHODS OF CURRENCY PORTFOLIO CREATION
Budík, Jan ; Kohút, Michal (referee) ; Král, Miloš (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with the method of the currency portfolio creation focused on short-term trading, which not exceed one business day. That is the reason why is necessary to increase the profitability of investment positions by using financial leverage. Development of proposed investment strategies is realized with use of computer technology in combination with software that allows direct access to the foreign exchange market. The software enables direct access to a database of historical prices and has an implemented a programming language that allows effective processing of statistical analyzes, which is required for development of investment strategies. The investment strategies are optimized and tested on a database of historical price movements from 1. 1. 2004 to 31. 12. 2012 for the major currency pairs EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY. The main assumption of entry to the market for proposed investment strategies is based on specific time intervals during the day, where is an increased probability of new short-term trends beginnings. The doctoral thesis statistically validated this assumption. The proposed method of creation a currency portfolio was applied to real market since 1. 1. 2013 to 30. 9. 2013 and was used for 20 000 $ trading account. Profitability of proposed method of creation a currency portfolio is 26,89%.
Management Study of the Selected Group of Inventory
Podaná, Hana ; Mihalisko, Marek (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This work has been devoted to tailoring of inventory management model for a selected material group within company Tyco Electronics Czech, s.r.o. It focuses on three areas of purchasing, i.e. planning of purchases, material procurement and inventory management. This work analyses most painful problems and suggests walls how to overcome those problems. The main contribution of the work lies in material cost reduction and consequent volume reduction of capitalized inventories. Production down times based on the lack of packaging materials should be also reduced.
The Study of Systém and Process optimization of Service operation
Prokeš, Viktor ; Havlásek, Roman (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis is oriented on the automotive industry with the focus on the domestic producer of the vehicles – the Škoda Auto Company. It describes the subject of business in the mentioned company and subsequently it refers to the current trends of the automotive market in the Czech Republic. On the basis of the analyses` results of the after-sales services allied with usage of the Škoda-products it will propose their possible future progression. Thereinafter will the thesis concentrate on the description of the existing after-sales processes focused on the „through-pass“ of the vehicle through the authorised Škoda Auto service. It deals with the analysis of the service systems in detail using the tight cohesion of them. Modern technologies used in the current vehicles put significantly higher demands on their maintenance, which call for the continual optimization of the service processes with the maximal utilisation effort of the feedback. The appropriate personnel have become the necessity. For these purposes it will be recommended the introduction of the electronic multipurpose memory devices intended for the data collection. In the next step will the after-sale-service process be described with the focus on the usage of these electronic memory vehicle-keys with the reference to the procedural simplification of the maintenance operations. The final part of the thesis will evaluate the general contribution of the proposed resolution for the service processes as well as their users.
Aerodynamic optimization of passenger car body
Kubíček, Martin ; Fiľakovský, Karol (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on create an optimization methodology for CFD issues or any other computationally demanding software. Optimization method is applied on simplified model of car, where improves its aerodynamic properties
Measurement of Production Overall Equipment Effectiveness
Žanda, Miroslav ; Novák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma work deals with measurement of Production Overall Equipment Effectiveness in manufacturing company Alfa. Firstly, is processed the theoretical part concerning general production, TPM, lean manufacturing and OEE. After than is described the company, monitored device and technology used by the device. In the final section is evaluated the OEE for January, February and March; analyze downtimes, mistakes and losses and their solutions are proposed. The last chapter is devoted to the economic evaluation of the proposal.
Proposal for the increased effectiveness of production operation of sheet metal covers at ISOTRA company
Hykel, Lukáš ; Blachut, Bohumír (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
The thesis deals with the optimization of production lines cover sheets for external blinds. The aim of this work is to propose appropriate investment in line for expansion of capacity and the reduction of risks in the form of cooperation. To achieve the objective I propose two alternative solutions. Combination of these two variants has been optimized with regard to investment in capacity expansion, reduce risk and achieve a fast return on investment. The conclusion describes the individual prices of investment items and annual profit from the newly formed water jet technology.
Visualisation of adaptive ant colony optimization algorithm
Tichý, Vojtěch ; Kumpán, Pavel (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis was dealing with programming and creating model for education and understanding of Ant Colony Optimization functioning, which was modified to be able to adapt on the change of terrain. Thesis was further focused on comparing several optimization methods inspired by nature and demarcation their utilization in practical situations.
DISCONNECTOR PARALLEL CURRENT PATHS OPTIMIZATION
Görig, Tomáš ; Tůma, Jan (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this master´s thesis is diagnostic the actual disconnector current path that is unevenly stressed by nominal current. The most stressed parts are excessively heated. In next part are projected a few options to optimize the current path. The options are verified by simulation. The best option is recommended to the submitter.
Dynamic Programming in Graph Algorithms
Biloš, Martin ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
This work is about graph algorithms, their use and the benefit of the optimization method of dynamic programming. This benefit is show to the user via the graphic application. Graph algorithms find use in many sectors of human activity. They are used in packet routing or, for example, navigation. There are three methods of graph algorithms used in this work. This problems are solved with classic and dynamic way and measured data are compared.
Optimization of Production Process of a Model Contract
Jůva, Marek ; Kratina, Vít (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis analyzes the optimization process on the example of a model publishing contract. Based on the results of this analysis, are made suggestions for improvement of production. The proposal will increase the level of the production proces.
