First part reveals important life milestones, which affects his philosophical mindedness reflected in his work, as well as his view of the literature and its values for a human. Second part of this thesis is focused on ethical values, which in Fuks works (Pan Theodor Munstdock, Spalovač mrtvol and Myši Natálie Mooshabrové) are the most occurred. The goal isn't only to show how the ethical values like life and death, truth and lie, good and evil, existence and absurdity affects character's lives in novels, but also their relativity. New Testament Eschatology and Sources of Christian Hope

The thesis focuses on the eschatology of the New Testament writings, especially on those it's elements, in which the early church found it's hope. A question of transformation of Christian expectations due to the delayed parousia is questioned here; as well as related question of invariant gospel's elements on one hand and a set of it's historical origins on the other. A development of an early church hope is mapped through the compilation of author's thoughts linked to the Scripture and critically evaluated assertions taken up from other sources. Due to a significant depth of the theme, answers to some of it's subquestions relies on the prevailing consensus, however, in those cases the author adds his own comment. The theme is described in a way of biblical texts or groups of biblical texts analysis. After an Old Testament introduction, there is an explanation of significant Jesus days' sociocultural phenomena, apocalypticism and several non biblical sources, after that the theme goes on with analyzing the Pauline texts. Theological anthropology in the worlds of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis and George Lucas

In this work I explore the subject of theological motives in the worlds of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Middle-earth, Clive Staples Lewis - Narnia and George Lucas - Star Wars. In the world of the Middle-earth, it will be the whole canon, which contains stories from the Middle- earth focusing on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I will use all seven books from the world of Narnia. In George Lucas's world, I'm mainly using the so-called G-canon. If there's a topic that's not covered by this canon, I'll look into the so-called T-canon, or the C-canon. I will compare the different theological questions in the approaches of an author influenced by Anglicism, Catholicism and Methodism with Buddhism. The most important questions for me will be creation, sin, grace, hope, forgiveness and redemption. For each topic, I compare the approaches and compare them to the biblical narrative. The aim of the work is if and howt extent these stories reflect a biblical view of man and of history.

Philosophy as Passionate Interest

The purpose of my dissertation is to analyze and further elaborate upon its main topic: the questions that are of a mutual deep interest to both medicine and philosophy. The dissertation has three parts. In the first part, I will introduce some of the key terms that will be used throughout the text. The second part, central to my work, is concerned with three possibilities that are offered to us - play and playing, dream and dreaming, poetic being - all become the places where comprehending, listening (to both the speech and the silence) and responding materialize. Playing, dreaming, poetic being - each offers our daily reality the beauty of transcending its borders without destroying them; in fact, they become a free spirited, passionate interest that enhances and makes valuable the ordinariness and finiteness of our daily lives. Freedom and Responsibility; I and the Other Person; Illness and Hope - each having its physical aspect and each being considered through the dimensions of seriousness and unseriousness, reason and unreason - will be rethought through playing, dreaming and poetic being, providing new insights of an engaged, passionate practice of philosophy and medicine. Hope and Meaning of Human Existence: Comparing the Approach to Human Existence of Gabriel Marcel and Albert Camus

73 Abstract The first part of my dissertation deals with the philosophy of Gabriel Marcel. It begins with the basic information about the philosopher as well as with his thinking placed within the context of the philosophy's history. Next step is Mr. Marcel's ideas about the feeling of the essence of life which is significant to experience in one man's life in order to set off the journey of englightenment. The feeling of the essence of life is unfortunately being silenced in nowadays people. After that I introduce the philosopher's conception of the imprisonment of a human being. This imprisonment is the cornerstone of his explanation of the metaphysics of hope. At the end of the first part I submit the power and the importance of hope in a human's state of mind which can be so stable that even the death of the beloved doesn't mean the end of hope. As mentioned before, the second part begins with the information about Mr. Albert Camus and I also put his philosophy in the context of the history. The most important step is to introduce his feeling of the futility without which the philosophy of Mr. Camus cannot be understood. The Concept of Hope in the Epistles of Apostle Paul

The work deals with the epistles of Paul the Apostle. Using Greek concordance, it searches for verses containing the words hope and to hope, analyzes them, and examines the context where Paul writes about hope. The analysis is then used to create generalizing characteristics: who or what, according to Paul, is a source of hope, what is its object or goal, what are its effects, how to distinguish beneficial hope from ineffective and harmful hope, what is the connection and order of virtues in the Faith - Love - Hope triad. The work also takes into account some parts expressing hope without explicitly mentioning the term, in addition to the expressed use of the word hope. It evaluates the obtained proper findings and compares them with published conclusions of other authors in professional biblical literature from the end of the 20th century to the present and with the opinion of two modern important ecclesiastical documents dealing with hope. The conclusions of the work show Paul as a biblical author who uses the concept of Christian hope extremely often in a wide range of contexts and whose epistles have a reference meaning for understanding this concept. The aim of the work is to expound the Christian concept of death based on biblical texts. The opening chapter briefly deals with some passages of the Old Testament related to the subject. The section devoted to the New Testament focuses on the texts associated with the redemptive mission of Jesus Christ, from which Christian hope derives. The Exegesis of the 15th chapter of the First Epistle to the Corinthians provides more details of Paul's defence of the resurrection from the dead with regard to the doubts that have occured in this church community. The last part of the work tries to reflect on Christian faith face to face with death based on personal experience. This section also emphasizes the irreplaceable role of the Church, where faith is born, strengthened, shared and passed on in the community of mutual love that has the transcendent dimension.
