Monitoring the use of chewing tobacco in ice hockey players

Title: Monitoring the use of chewing tobacco in ice hockey players. Goals: The aim is to determine the frequency, causality of chewing tobacco use in IH players and its sport-social context. Why is chewing tobacco so popular among hockey players recently. Methods: The research was based on a questionnaire survey. The survey consisted of 22 questions, respondents always had a choice of several options, except for 3 questions that were open- ended. Some questions were of the YES/NO response type and some were multiple choice. The questions were structured from the most basic to the more specific. The only mandatory question in the questionnaire was question number one. The questionnaire ended for respondents who selected the NO option in question one. Thus, respondents had the option of skipping questions. The entire questionnaire was anonymized as much as possible and was conducted over the Internet. It took a maximum of 5 minutes to complete and some took considerably less time. Results: The results show that 35.2 % of the 216 hockey players use chewing tobacco, and in relatively large quantities. Almost 40 % of them chew 7 or more sachets per day, feeling focused and relaxed after using it. Most respondents were introduced to chewing tobacco because of ice hockey and teammates. The role of the program The leader in me in developing competencies

The subject of this work is to describe and present the program The Leader in me as one of the possible starting points of the current educational effect on students of all levels of the educational system in terms of their equipment with competencies. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the framework educational program, key competencies in education and the school educational program. Furthermore, the principle of 7 habits of effective behavior is described here and it is stated how they can be applied in the school environment with the help The practical part of the work focuses on the methods leading to the acquisition of key competencies within the classes of Personal - Social Education and on the possibilities and impact of introducing of the program The Leader in me into practice at the Primary School Bratří Čapků in Ústí nad Orlicí. The information was collected through interviews and follow-up questionnaires. Leader In Me, the educational program at a primary school

This thesis examines the educational program "The leader in me" and its functioning within the first grades of elementary school. The thesis is divided into three chapters - theoretical, analytical and practical. The first theoretical part introduces the program and defines and explaines the term "habit". The outcomes of the first presented chapter focus on the interconnections between self-management and the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part summarizes experiences and results gathered during researching the sample elementary school A.B. Combs and other schools that use the examined program in their classrooms. This has been achieved based on the analysis of Czech and foreign resources. The last practical part presents a qualitative survey, whose main objective was to reflect on teaching practices that have been based on methods of self- management and on knowledge gained in the theoretical part of this thesis.
Evaluation of current nutritional habits of preschool children

This work deals with the evaluation of current nutritional habits of preschool children. It presents the importance of a balanced diet in terms of physical, mental and social development of children. It describes the risks that can occur due to poor diet, such as childhood obesity, type 2. diabetes and various mental disorders. The work describes the optimal diet of preschool children in terms of macronutrients, micronutrients and drinking regime. Furthermore, the work deals with specific nutritional recommendations for eating preschool children. It describes the real state of nutrition of preschool children and then suggests ways to support the improvement of children's nutrition in kindergartens. The practical part of the work deals with the evaluation of children's meals in specific kindergartens. An analysis of data from a structured questionnaire was performed. The aim of this work is to evaluate the nutrition of preschool children from the perspective of kindergarten teachers and to point out the possibility of using some programs dealing with improving nutrition in kindergartens. The impact of the behaviour of individuals addicted to drugs on the Romany community

The diploma thesis deals with the drug addiction issue, the circumstances that lead to drug addiction and most importantly the impact the drug addiction has on an individual. It also describes the behaviour of the drug addicted in different life situations and the impact of such behaviour; specifically the impact of behaviour of the drug addicted Romany on functioning of Romany families and communities. The aim of this thesis is to present drug-related issues of the Romany ethnic group, specific aspects of the behaviour of the drug addicted and the impact of such behaviour on their communities. Terminology related to the topic is defined and further described and drug addiction related issues of the Romany ethnic group are specified. As a part of the analysis there are semi-structured interviews which aim to describe, as authentically as possible, behaviour of the drug addicted Romany and to help people understand what kind of impact the Romany community perceive as the most urgent. Among the most important there are: the negative and condemning attitude of the older generation towards the drug addicted members; financial burden of the families of the drug addicted and prevailing negative attitude of the majority society towards the Romany as a whole, which is strengthened by the behaviour of the drug addicted and by higher rate of criminality among them.

The bachelor's work deals with alcoholism, delinquency, therapies and following abstention. The theoretical part offers the creation of alcohol addiction, its cause and progress, the effects of alcohol on man and his behaviour and prevention options at secondary schools. It also describes the stage of alcoholism and the treatments and therapies. The author focuses on the leisure activities of minors and ways how to overcome alcoholism. Method for the theoretical part is the study of the available literary sources and at the same time the experience of the area. The practical part of using casuistry explores how some high school pupils trying to cure alcoholism of how they spend their free time without alcohol consumption, and manage every day abstinence treatment and whether they have an interest.

This bachelor's thesis consists of two parts: translation and annotation. It aims to prove the student's ability to translate a text, and to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during study to a specific communication situation. The annotation contains an analysis of the elements relevant for translation, resulting in a list of potential translation problems, which are typologized. The problems identified in the original text along with the shifts encountered in its translation are then, too, typologized. Title: The awareness of the nourishement and the eating habits of the older school age children at the chosen primary schools. Author: Markéta Hobzková Department: Pedagogy Supervisor: PaedDr. Eva Marádová, CSc. Abstract: This Bachelor work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is intent on problems of eating, on the particular components of the nourishement and explaining of their importance in refering to the specific age of children. Then there are elucidated concepts of boarding with a wiev to the specific needs in the nourishement of the older school age children and described the importance of observing of the boarding habits in connection with some disorders of food intake and the obesity. The aim of the empiric part of this work is to map the pupils' knowledges in the area of the nourishement and get some information about their eating habits and to make a discovery whether there exists an affinity between children's knowledges in the area of the nourishement and the way of their fare and their nutrive preferences. The acquiring of the information was realized through the mediation of an anonymous halfstructured questionaire of the pupils of the 7th - 9th classes at some choosen primary schools.
