Evaluation of the Economy of Selected Voluntary Association of Municipalities

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the economic activities of the voluntary association of municipalities Valašsko Horní – Vsacko. The goal of the work is evaluation of economic activities of this voluntary association of municipalities. The work is divided into the parts, the theoretical part, the practical part and the design part. In the theoretical part we will be dealing with budgetary system and then general characteristics of the voluntary association of municipalities. In the practical part we will focus on the revenues and expenses in individual years of the observed period, and also on the evaluation of the management of funds of the association. In the last part we will pursue the design of a project, which should contribute to development of the region.
Marketing in Tourism

This thesis analyzes the micro-region Moravskokrumlovsko in the tourism sector and proposes solutions to increase its tourist attractions. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on marketing research, tourism marketing and related concepts. The practical part is focused on analysis of attractiveness, analysis of visitors, analysis of marketing mix, analysis of competitors, secondary research focusing on visitors of the micro-region, primary research focusing on promotion of the micro-region, and suggestions for improving the tourist attractions of micro-region.
Role of civic organizations in the life of small municipalities

Title: The role of the civic organizations in the life of the small municipalities Objectives: The main objective is to evaluate the relationship between civil society organizations and representatives of public administration in terms of their common aspiration to build cohesion in the former Association of Municipalities Neveklovsko. Defunct micro-region is also subject to consideration of future similar institutions. Methods: This multi-case study is based on analysis of data collected in selected community association Neveklovsko. The project will also draw information from public printed materials. This project will be based on semi-structured interviews with the mayors of municipalities and chosen representatives of civic associations. Results: We found that all municipalities of examined micro-region realize the importance and interest groups in the villages. Municipalities are trying to make these voluntary organizations to promote and ensure better social life of the inhabitants. Recently, the municipalities of the former micro-region worked together again in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the eviction of Neveklovsko. Recreating of micro-region is not in a sight. Any municipalities do not agree with the financing and therefore they have no further interest in this integration....
Socio-geographical regionalization of Benesov district in 2001-2011 and the impact of work attractiveness of Prague on its changes

Commuting became an inseparable part of everyday life of contemporary society and an analysis of commuting flows has a fundamental meaning for capturing social- geographical organization of society. The main object of this thesis is to identify changes in geographical aspects of commuting to work and school in the Benešov district during the period 2001-2011. The second object is to evaluate the impact of macroregional centre of Prague on the commuting in Benešov district. The district is, taking into consideration the nearness and a good traffic connesction to Prague, appropriate example for assessing the impact of macroregional centre on neighbouring micro-regions. This impact is followed by an analysis of commuting flows and also by a questionnare survey. The purpose of the questionnare survey is to capture how people feel about commuting to work and labour market in Prague. Evaluation of the Benefits of Local Action Group "Společnost pro rozvoj Humpolecka"

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the Local Action Group around the town Humpolec called "Společnost pro rozvoj Humpolecka", to characterize its activities, scope and benefits for this area. The theoretical part explains terms concerning the field of the Local Action Groups such as the region, regional development theory, the Common Agricultural Policy or programming periods of the EU. The practical part outlines historical development of the group from its inception to the present. The thesis is also focuses on cooperation, investigates whether the chosen group is cooperating with neighbouring villages, another LAGs or foreign LAGs. Another aim of this thesis is to assess the projects in previous years and evaluate the success of the group as a whole association in terms of the principles of LEADER. The evaluation is reached by a structured interview with the manager of the LAG and also by comparing SWOT analysis with strategic plans of the LAG. From the SWOT analysis the evaluation was accomplished by using matrix IFE, EFE, IE and Fuller method and in the thesis was determined the ideal strategy of the LAG.
