The Meeting of Czech and American Cultures in Managerial Practices

The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive picture of Czech and American cultures, not only in their interaction. This picture will be the basis for learning and understanding of both cultures and their mutual differences. A detection of cultural specificities, their clarification and explanation of their causes is a fundamental concern of this thesis. The main issue of the research is to uncover cultural differences and related cultural clashes. The second aim of the diploma thesis is building a list of potential cultural clashes and final recommendations for the Czechs to know how to prevent these conflicts.

Managerial Communication In a Selected Institution

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate managerial communication in the selected organization and suggest changes to improve the current situation. Creation of literature review of the examined issue was based on studies of available information through professional literary works and Internet sources. The main form of questioning - the unstructured interview was chosen for obtaining key information concerning the distribution of managerial communication to external and internal. The conclusions drawn from the analysis will be communicated to the organization.

INFLUENCE OF MELTING TEMPERATURE AND TIME ON THE OXYGEN CONTENT IN TiAlNb ALLOYS

The present study investigates a cost-effective melting of TiAlNb intermetallics in a stable yttrium oxide refractory. We identify mechanisms that mainly contribute to the oxygen pick-up during melting. Systematic microstructural and chemical analysis provided evidence that erosion and dissolution of crucible wall are key factors of the process. Experiments were performed using two Ti46Al7Nb alloys with a different initial content of oxygen. The alloys were re-melted in vacuum induction furnace inside U-shaped yttria crucibles. The experiments involved three different temperatures in combination with melting times spanning from 300 to 1800 s. The oxygen content of re-melted and solidified alloys was assessed by means of inert gas fusion technique. Results of the chemical analysis provided clear evidence that the stability of the refractory wall in contact with the molten alloy and its rate of dissolution depend mainly on melting temperature. These results are further supported by microstructural observations that confirmed ever growing content of ceramic phases in the solidified intermetallic with increasing temperature of the melt. The work also contributed to the improved experimental methodology, in particular to temperature measurements of reactive melts.

Studie se zabývá vytvářením programu, organizováním pořadu schůze a možnými změnami, flexibilitou již schválených pořadů. Organizaci programu a pořadu parlamentních komor je možno rozdělit na několik typů, kdy většina komor tradičních parlamentů v podstatě nedovoluje změny hlavního programu a pořadu činěné tentýž den, aby nedocházelo k nepředvídaným programovým zvratům a rovněž aby vláda dosáhla plynulého přijímání navržených zákonů. Naopak v typu parlamentu, který se uplatňuje v parlamentních republikách postkomunistických států (ČR, Slovensko, Polsko, Maďarsko, pobaltské státy) jsou jednací řády ovlivněny tím, že agendu parlamentních komor (hlavního programu) povětšinou vytváří parlamenty samotné.

Management style and behavior

The work is focused on management style and behavior. The theoretical part discusses the classification of management styles, its processes and procedures. Chapter leadership describes the various theories of management styles. The practical part is focused on research in the company FGInvest Ltd., used to evaluate the management style and leadership meetings. Subsequently, the author explains a specific proposal, designed to streamline the complex process of managing and conducting meetings in the community.

Team leadership in the hospital

The first objective of the bachelor?s thesis was to assess the team via the first line manager. With regard to this issue, I had created the related questionnaires. I have also applied the method of interviews. Based on these methods, I have acquired information that helped me to understand the team management from the view of the first-line manager. The second objective of my thesis was to propose measures to develop teamwork in the above stated organisation. This included the assessment of the manager and their duties and the team management and their motivation for a consistent or better performance. I found some shortfalls at this point which I have addressed and further suggested certain measures.
