Possibility of using a speech therapy application as part of speech therapy prevention

The diploma thesis examines the usability of the speech therapy application for children of preschool age in speech therapy prevention. It focuses on the most common deficits in the areas of optical and auditory perception and seriality. It tracks progress, the most common mistakes and areas that are well developed in children. It investigates the possibilities of using the application in common practice during speech therapy prevention in kindergarten for children of preschool age. For the purposes of the research, was chosen a qualitative method, carried out by the method of analysis and interpretation of data from the results of testing eight children from kindergarten aged 4 to 7 years. In order to complete the issue, a structured interview was conducted with a speech therapy assistant who works in a kindergarten. It was found that the created logopedic application can be used both for individual logopedic prevention and in a group. The speech therapy assistant also recommends the application for independent work in the home environment. Furthermore, it was found that the most frequent deficits are in the area of auditory perception, especially the auditory differentiation of words. Speech therapy prevention for the natural development of pre-school children

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of (not) using the offer of speech therapy prevention by parents of children with impaired communication skills. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as speech therapy, speech therapy, impaired communication ability, speech development (risks that may manifest in speech development) and articulation. It relies on available professional sources in the field of speech therapy. The practical part is carried out using the method of qualitative research and contains semi-structured interviews with parents. The main goal is to find out the answer to the research question: "How active is the interest on the part of parents and what is the main reason for parents to seek professional help?" Specifically, it is a research in a kindergarten in South Bohemia.
Articulation and oral exercises in Kindergarten

This bachelor thesis is on the topic of articulation exercises at nursery school. The aim is to create an articulation exercise education programme that meets the specifics of pre-schooleducation. The theoretical part defines the term articulation, its development until the end of pre-school age, factors that affect its development and means of preventing the disruption of articulation. It also outlines education methods and ways of incorporating articulation exercises into the education process at nursery school. The practical part contains suitably motivated topics for articulation exercises, and a description of how they are implemented and evaluated. These activities are incorporated into the normal nursery school programme, as part of the WINTER theme, and are designed as a form of play using various types of activities. This education programme has been verified in practice at anursery school with children aged 57. It was evaluated using the participated observation method and analysis of video records.
Speech-Language Pathology prevention at waldorf preschool

The thesis aims to demonstrate that alternative preschools provide high-quality speech-language pathology prevention. The paper focuses on the system of speech-language pathology prevention at Waldorf preschool and the description of the most common activities and methods supporting speech development. Another aim is to discover whether the speech development activities at Waldorf preschool correspond with the Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education, and how they differ from such activities at classic preschool. The theoretical section defines the main terminology connected with speech-language pathology prevention, the Framework Education Programme, and activities recommended for positive speech development. Moreover, it describes the principles, contents, aims, and methods of Waldorf pedagogy. The research focuses on the system of speech-language pathology at Waldorf preschool. For collecting the data, qualitative research questions are used, i.e. interviews with Waldorf teachers. Furthermore, observations at both Waldorf and classic preschools were conducted. The results show that the standards of speech-language pathology prevention at Waldorf preschool are high, and a variety of activities for speech development, included in the Framework Education Programme, are performed. The main difference between Waldorf and classic preschool speech-language pathology prevention is in the form and frequency of such activities.
Speech therapy prevention and musical activities for children with delayed school attendance

The bachelor thesis deals with the association between speech therapy prevention and music activities in preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to discover whether the means of music education can improve the language and speech of children with delayed school attendance. The theoretical part describes the issue of delayed school attendance. It deals with reduced communication skills and its categories, different mother tongue and bilingual family environment, since the subject of the research are children from these settings. The development of speech in the language layers is discussed, too. This part also deals with speech therapy prevention in kindergarten and its connection with musical activities. The practical part is devoted to action research, which includes an initial diagnosis of children with delayed school attendance, describes the course of the research and evaluates the impact of musical activities in speech therapy prevention on the language and speech of children with delayed school attendance. The practical part also includes a questionnaire survey that provides data on the course of speech therapy prevention in kindergartens. Use of Montessori pedagogy in speech therapy prevention in preschool children

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Montessori pedagogy and its use in speech therapy prevention in preschool children. The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of methods used in Montessori pedagogy in providing speech therapy prevention in Montessori kindergartens. The bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters. The first two chapters describe the theoretical basis on which the work is based. Based on the professional literature, the chapters define both selected topics. The first theoretical part deals with the theoretical basis of speech therapy. The content includes information about communication, about the development of speech and language, about the areas that influence this development and finally about speech therapy prevention. The second part describes another area that the work deals with, and therefore Montessori pedagogy, its principles, origin and current form in the Czech Republic and in the world. The third chapter consists of an empirical part, which deals with the research itself. Qualitative research methods were chosen for the research survey.
