Lejbl, Jakub ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Strength intervention program used as knee injury prevention by soccer players U14 categories Objectives: The main objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a strength intervention program aimed at strengthening the lower limbs. The secondary aim was then to increase the strength capacity of the participating probands (players), with a possible reduction in muscle asymmetries between the dominant and non-dominant limbs with an increase in their H/Q ratios. Methods: The research population consisted of players of the U14 category of the football club FK Viktoria Žižkov, who were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. Both groups underwent entry and exit laboratory diagnostic measurements aimed at determining selected parameters of body composition and isokinetic muscle strength. The initial laboratory testing was followed by a six-week strength intervention program (experimental group), after which both groups underwent baseline/control measurements. The results of both groups were tabulated and compared with each other. Results: The intervention showed a positive effect in reducing lower limb muscle strength asymmetries in the experimental group at all measured speeds. Keywords: Lower limbs muscles, knee joint, laboratory testing, preventive procedure,...

This bachelor’s thesis describes a design, making and experimental load test of reinforced concrete element, which has been selected as a slab. The part of laboratory work was production of testing ensembles and assessment of their physical and mechanical properties. The data from experiment were compared with the results of simulated load test in software Atena 3D, that is using for nonlinear analysis the finite element method. All results were compared with numerical analysis from valid norm.
The effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of greywacke
Brabec, Marek ; Horák, Vladislav (referee) ; Krmíček, Lukáš (advisor)
The author of this master's thesis studied the influence of high temperatures on Lower Carboniferous greywacke sampled in the Kobeřice quarry near Prostějov. Two sets of cylindrical bodies were produced, made of fine and relatively coarse-grained greywacke. The samples were then fired at temperatures up to 1200 °C. Thermally altered samples were then studied in laboratory using rock mechanics and petrography methods. Results of the study were then carefully interpreted to determine relations between the rock parameters, structural changes and the firing temperature. The master's thesis also contains a brief insight into rock thermomechanics, necessary theoretical background to the used methods and geological context of the Drahany Upland, where the samples of the tested greywacke were taken.
Upper limb and trunk strength asymmetry and relationships in young elite soccer players
Haisová, Linda ; Hank, Mikuláš (advisor) ; Kunzmann, Egon (referee)
This diploma thesis aimed to evaluate the level of upper limb strength asymmetry between the dominant and non-dominant side and trunk rotation strength in young soccer players, then to compare this relationship with respect to strength performance. The research population consisted of 18 young players in the U16 age group who play soccer at an elite level. Players participated in isometric upper extremity and trunk strength testing. Data collection of isometric upper limb grip strength (Handgrip) parameters was performed using a digital handheld dynamometer (Takei, A5401, Japan). A Humac Norm Cybex isokinetic dynamometer (CSMi, Humac Norm, USA) in isometric mode was used to test trunk strength in rotation. The results of the trunk rotation force values in favor of the dominant side averaged 19.83 ± 3.47 kg. For the non-dominant side, players achieved average results of 19.17 ± 3.33 kg. The T-test results showed that the dominant side of the body achieved significantly higher results in absolute trunk rotation strength with a value of p = 0.035, also in relative strength with a value of p = 0.032. In the Handgrip, the average result value on the dominant side was found to be 41.76 ± 8.63 kg. The non-dominant side achieved a mean grip strength value of 39.68 ± 5.79 kg. The results of the T-test...
Bilateral asymmetry of lower limb strength abilities in young snowboardcross athletes
Bohůnková, Marie ; Hank, Mikuláš (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out the relationships between the performance of strength skills of the dominant and non-dominant lower limbs with respect to the preferred side of riding in snowboarders of different sexes at the racing level. Elite and sub-elite level snowboarders aged 19.16 ± 4.63 years (11 females and 9 males) participated in testing the isokinetic force in the knee joint and the isometric force in the hip joint. Data collection of isokinetic parameters of flexion strength and extension in the knee joint was performed on a Cybex Humac Norm isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex NORM®, Humac, CA, USA). Collection of isometric parameters of abduction force and adduction in the hip joint was performed by the ForceFrame systémem system (Vald Performance, Australia). The position on the snowboard affected the bilateral asymmetry of force in favor (p <0.05) of the dominant limb (front on the snowboard) in some parameters. The magnitude of the isokinetic force between the dominant and non-dominant limbs differed significantly (p <0.05) at extension in the male group, but not in the female group. Significance difference (p <0.05) was found for flexion only for male group. The dominant lower limb achieved a significantly higher (p <0.05) value of the isometric force of abduction in the...
