Gender consequences of parents' separatation on their subsequent career paths in connection with caring of their minors
Malínková, Markéta ; Dvořáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Ezzeddine, Petra (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the effects of parents' divorce or separation on their subsequent career paths in connection with the care of joint minors and the gender differences of this situation. Using qualitative research, I am looking for an answer to my research question: What is the perception of career changes after divorce/separation from the point of view of mothers and fathers? The work is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on the principles of the functioning of the current social order from the gender point of view and how it shapes the behavior of individual actors and actresses. Using the concepts of somatization of domination, cultural optical glasses or hegemonic masculinity, I draw the attention to the invisible mechanisms that influence the actions of every member of society. This social order frames the situation of parents after separation/divorce, when women and men are in a different social position and therefore have to choose different strategies. Parents who do not live in the same household must find new ways to satisfy their own and their children's material, emotional and practical needs. Both have to decide whether to go to work for economic earnings or to stay at least partially at home and take care of their...
Unemployment rising slightly, especially for women: quick analysis of registered unemployment
Grossmann, Jakub ; Münich, Daniel
The effects of the covid-19 crisis on registered unemployment have almost subsided. Excluding annual seasonal effects, the registered unemployment rate rose slightly in August '23. Nevertheless, the Czech unemployment rate remains one of the lowest in the EU27. The gender gap in the unemployment rate has widened in recent months due to faster unemployment growth among women. Occupational, educational and age differences persist. However, despite the worsening economic situation, unemployment remains low.

Needs analysis of Generation Z in relation to the construction labour market
Juránková, Radka ; Pitronová, Almíra (referee) ; Pelčák, Svatopluk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the needs of generation Z in relation to the labor market in the construction industry. Currently, one of the biggest problems in the construction industry is the lack of labor on the market. This is largely due to the fact that the construction industry, by its very nature, does not have the opportunity to provide employees with other benefits like other industries (e.g. Home Office, etc.). The goal of the work is to find out what the Z generation's work preferences and requirements are, so that future employers can prepare for how the demands of the upcoming generations will change. And with the help of this knowledge, create a more favorable working environment and thus make work in the construction industry more attractive so that interest in working in this field increases.
Employment of Roma in the labor market in the Týn nad Vltavou region from the perspective of employers
MARCIN, Jan
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of placement of members of the Roma minority in the labor market in the Týn nad Vltavou region from the perspective of employers. The aim of this work is to analyze the issue of employment Roma from the perspective of employers in the region of Týn nad Vltavou. At work I set two research questions. My research questions are: "What is the employer's opinion on the employment of Roma" and "What is the employer's experience with employment of the Roma". A qualitative research strategy and technique of a semi - structured interview were used in the research part. The research took place in the Týn nad Vltavou region, where the interviews took place with 7 respondents. The interviews were rewritten and then encoded. Research results show that from the perspective of the employers in the Týn nad Vltavou region, most of them have experience with a Roma minority in employment. Furthermore, it was found that employers think that Roma on the labor market have the same possibilities at work as others. In the next topic it became clear that the informants think that the Roma have the same possibilities as the others in all terms. Out of prejudice that causes unemployment to Roma, employers think this claim is true. The last topic discussed resulted in the conclusion that employers are of the opinion that the involvement of a Roma minority in a team at work would be trouble - free. The benefit of this work is that it can serve as a better insight into this issue. It can be used as aid for the Labor Office in Týn nad Vltavou regarding this topic.
