Cultural Center in Koprivnice

The project is to design the reconstruction Koprivnica's center building cultural center and museum of Tatra, which was built in 1991. Of the building is located between the street and Záhumenní Koprivnická flow of the river, which at this point is hidden in the length of 150 meters and produces along with height dominates the Hotel Tatra quite complicated urban situation. Proposed reconstruction allows for the transfer of the Tatra Museum in its factory premises and complete cleaning KDK building to its original mass. The resulting space is designed single-storey building with commercial use of the space in creating a semi-enclosed rekonstruavanému cultural house.

Marketing Strategy of Community Centre Rubín in Brno

The main objective of this thesis is the description and complex evaluation of the functioning of the Cultural House Rubin in Brno Žabovřesky in the context of the neighborhood and the city, and create a strategy for its further development. Thesis deals with marketing of culture and describes the functioning of the House of Culture, its program and service offerings, visitors and defines its position within the city. It also contains characteristics of major competitors in the cultural context and sets hypotheses for the practical examination.Research part consists of quantitative research - in the form of a survey among the target audience. The conclusion contains a summary of findings from the theoretical part and practical research and their incorporation into the overall marketing strategy of Community Centre Rubín in Brno.

Reconstruction of the House of Culture

Thesis Theme is the reconstruction of the cultural house in Suchý Důl. The building is divided into a restaurant with rooms and multi-purpose hall with facilities. Reconstruction of the building is additional insulation of substructures, exchange floor structures, replacing ceiling structures, creating new roof construction, replacement of doors, windows and changing the layout. The reconstruction and extension of the part of the building.

Ventilation of culture house

Aim of this thesis is to design a ventilation system of the culture house. It was designed two devices equal pressure ventilation and cooling. They are designed central air handling units, complemented by a split system and fan coil units, drain remaining heat load. The first device is designed for foyer with the adjacent sanitary facilities serving and the second one is designed for training hall. The theoretical part is focused on air systems of air condition.

Architectural study of accessible / protected/ spaces

This architectural study offers a solution of the Gemini High School‘s new bulding, /Brno Lesná, the bulding site number 202/9, Vaculíkova street/, and shows a new building of a house of culture with a commercial area instead of today’s school /the bulding site number 253/. The new way of car parking and strenghtened areas of this street are included. The building and pulling down of today’s houses and buildings are devided into 2 phases. In the first phase a new barrier – free school building with a possibility of accommodation and flats is designed /building site number 202/9. This bulding has got two entrances. One from the northern part is for a school and the second one in the west is for the tenants. The school area is spread among the first and the third floor (classrooms, canteen, offfices). The fourh floor is used for students‘ accommodation and for a terrace entrance. There are some flats (2+1, 3+ small kitchen, max. area 120 m) from the fifth to the tenth floors. In the underground the are some tenants‘ cellars and technological rooms for school. The renewed car parking for all the tenants, school visitors and others is provided in Vaculíkova street. After the firt phase of building the new school project will go into the second part. In that time the old school will be pulled down and a new house of culture is designed in this place. There will be restaurant, commercial area, cinema, library – café and gym – fitness. On the first floor there are a restaurant, a library – café a cinema. On the second floor there are a gym – fitness and a commercial area. Car parking for the visitors is provided in the underground - 52 cars + 4 handicapped people. The green roof of this house is designed to be comfortable to watch it from the neighbourhood and do not damage the look of this new building. The work solves a question, how to solve the reconstruction of the buildings, which are not working completely right on the connected buildings of the museum and culture house in Kopřivnice. Also it solves the question, what can these buildings bring to the entire city.

Municipal house, Lhota

The aim of the diploma thesis is to develop the design documentation for the construction of the object of civic amenities. It is a multifunctional building, there are municipal office, library and cultural hall. It is detached building, which consists of two dilated parts, part A – Cultural hall and part B – Administration. Part A is single-storey with internal gallery accessible from the second floor of part B. Part B has a basement and three floors. Part A has external and internal reinforcing walls proposed as cast-in-place reinforced structure from fair-faced concrete. Part B is proposed as traditional masonry building made of brick blocks, the external walls in the basement are from concrete blocks of permanent formwork. The floor-structures will be made of hollow prestressed panels supplemented by reinforced cast-in-place structures. The roof structures are designed as warm flat green roofs. The facade of part A is proposed as ventilated, external wall finish is timber horizontal cladding. The facade of part B will be contact, external wall finish is made of brick facing tapes.
