Role of director of a kindergarten in shaping school culture

Thesis deals with the role of the director of a kindergarten within shaping of the school culture and with the potential of school culture in terms of contemporary education. Thesis focuses on the factors which the director influences the most and which leads to increased level of quality of teachers' work. In the theoretical part the emphasis is on understanding the concepts in the school culture, school climate, management and leadership and also on relationships in kindergarten, which create and develop a quality society. Further, the thesis concerns the research investigation, which detects the orientation of the issue of school culture and current use of knowledge in connection to the management of kindergarten. Jiří Trunda Summary: This Bachelor Thesis is focused on studying the influence of the replacement of a kindergarten's director on its culture and on the character of the employees' expectations regarding the new director. In its theoretical part the thesis is aimed at describing and defining its main topics, i.e. school culture and the influence of management replacement on school culture. School culture does not change only with time or with the changes of the outside environment. The replacement of the director may significantly change both the internal and external views of the school's existing culture. The degree of the organization's employees' satisfaction as well as their opinions, procedures, working conditions, etc. are important parts of the school's culture, which change when the management is changed. The research part of the thesis describes the employees' expectations after the director of the observed nursery has been replaced and their attitude to the change. There is also a results analysis which describes the common aspects brought by the change.
Possible intervention into the culture of the kindergarten in the direction of change shaping the environment for learning and teching process

SUMMARY: This bachelor thesis is engaged in the organizational culture and climate of the kindergartens. The theoretical part defines the concepts of culture, organizational culture, school culture, school climate, intervention, characteristics of the kindergarten as a specific organization. It deals with the possibilities of intervention in kindergarten culture in shaping the direction of environmental change to support quality education. The thesis presents a list of the most effective decisions from a position of the headmaster which can positively influence the school culture and school climate. The research part is using questionnaires to evaluate the set of these options and analysis of collected data. In conclusion, the survey identifies the most effective and efficient options, which the headmasters as executive managers can use to positively influence the climate environment supporting quality of education.
Evaluation of nursery schools - two-class nursery school from the perspective of parents

The final thesis deals with the evaluation of nursery schools. The goal of the thesis is the analysis of the current state of several small selected two-classed nursery schools in Prague and to find out what these schools are strong at and what could be improved. The starting point of theoretical part of the bacherol thesis is the available literature on the topic of evaluations as well as literature on nursery schools and their history, conditions of pre-school education, the school culture, the school climate and their effects on parents. The research part is based on the empirical survey carried on the basis of questionnaires for parents whose children attend two-classed nursery schools in Prague. It checks the assertions based on the author's experience. It brings some food for thought about the fact what nursery schools are good at and what can be improved in the future.

In next part, there are described above- standard activities of nursery schools which help to parents'decision during selection between nursery school for their children. The theoretical part is based on scientific literature, which explains a culture of the school, its diagnostics, the evaluation and consequent changes. The research part tries to investigate the actual situation of the school culture in the specific institution. It attempts to identify problematic factors of school culture using analysis of data and find out how to initiate a convenient process leading to alteration of school culture. The question was if it is necessary to involve employees in the process or leave this difficult task on a director. The answer to the question "How to change a school culture" is certainly very difficult, because of different conditions in each school, different people working in the school and last but not least different values and attitudes, which they share. Primary school management in the transition to grammar school dabing the 5th and 7 th grades

In the introductory part of the final bachelor thesis the theoretical basis are described. These are the ones that school management can rely on when influencing the decision-making process of pupils and their legal representatives whether to change to grammar school or whether pupil's education will remain at the existing primary school. The practical part of the paper deals with finding motifs when leaving to grammar schools is considered, in other words, reasons why pupils remain at primary schools. Moreover, it provides recommendations for school management to influence these decisions.

ABSTRACT How the quality of school culture influences the integration of children with ADHD in the classroom Key words: ADHD, teaching assistant, integration, school culture, culture in the classroom, school climate The theoretical part of this thesis describes the basic terms and definitions that are crucial for the practical part of the work, namely general information about syndrome ADHD, terminology, causes of ADHD syndrome, its diagnosis, etc. Afterwards, the attention is paid to the education of students with ADHD syndrome: the general principles of education, legislative framework, but also the integration of pupils and their advantages and disadvantages are mentioned. Forth chapter deals with school culture and school climate and their connections. The practical part describes a case study: the integration of a female pupil, diagnosed with ADHD, who the author of the thesis for a school year 20132014 worked with. The case study paid attention on school education and teachers' attitudes towards the pupil. Methods of teaching and pupil integration into the classroom are described and discussed, mentioned are also care options. The case study is supplemented with a descriptive analysis of the culture of the school to which the pupil was integrated.
Organizational culture in terms of preschool education

The submitted diploma thesis focuses on the organizational culture in terms of preschool education, particularly at nursery schools. There are specific elements of the organizational culture for preschool education as well as factors that affect organizational culture at nursery schools within the external and internal environment of the school. This thesis diagnoses the organizational culture at a particular nursery school. Based on this diagnosis, we can say that a strong organizational culture can be created even at a nursery school. There is also the relationship between organizational culture, effectiveness of organization and quality of education that implies from the positive evaluation of this nursery school. The thesis draws up recommendations for this specific nursery school, which are focused primarily on communication and foreknowledge. Recommendations are designed for founders of public nursery school as well. In terms of public nursery school, there should not be an argument of a lack of funds from this perspective, there should rather be a better utilization of that a strong organizational culture offers.
