A View on Reflection in Nursing and Social Work Education

In times of dynamic social changes and uncertainty, reflective practice becomes crucial for social work and nursing. This dissertation examines the epistemological foundations and the multidimensional nature of reflection within professional education from various theoretical perspectives tested through original empirical findings, which aim to prevent the reduction of reflection to a mere technique and instead promote dialogue, interdisciplinary cooperation, and participatory methods. Drawing on phenomenological and critical constructivist approaches deepens the understanding of educators' individual and collective experiences and reflective practices. The structure of the thesis corresponds to three empirical phases. The first phase investigates the characteristics of reflection and its developmental potential using SRIS and PHLMS questionnaires. The second phase, encompassing reflexive thematic analysis of interviews, addresses educators' views on reflection and their methods of promoting reflectivity among students. In the third phase, the work employs Q methodology to process and analyze various perspectives on reflection among educators. Reception of Magnesia Litera in media between 2016 and 2019 and of various winning books

This bachelor theses addresses analysis of literary critical response of four titles which were awarded in one of the categories of the competition Magnesia Litera between 2016 and 2019. The thesis aims to present the profile of the competition Magnesia Litera and subsequently to define the term literary criticism, to describe its development and principles. Furthermore, it addresses four specific winning titles which include two awarded for Prose: Do tmy (2015) by Anna Bolavá and Teorie podivnosti (2018) by Pavla Horáková, one awarded for Journalism: Brnox. Průvodce brněnským Bronxem. Akce Kateřiny Šedé (2016) by Kateřina Šedá and one for Children's and Youth Literature: Transport za věčnost (2017) by František Tichý. Each book is then subject of my own interpretation. The thesis then analyses critical reflection of each book within Czech media environment before and after being awarded in Magnesia Litera competition, regards the quantity of response and compares its content; in both cases it also points out whether the literary critical evaluation had been influenced by the award itself.
7 Habits and principles of management

This thesis aims to identify the principles that managers use in their work. The work of Stephen Covey "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" is used as an object of research. Primarily, a Covey's claim that the 7 habits are universal and timeless is analyzed, in an effort to identify universal principles of effectivity and their relationship to management. All of the habits are paraphrased and compared to the work of other popular authors from the area of social sciences. Subsequently, a comparison between the 7 habits and historical development of organization theory and its lessons is conducted. Further along, a description of critical reflection of the 7 habits from five standpoints is presented: post-modern, feminism, critical pedagogy, non-functionalism and exclusive representation. Finally, the author of the thesis presents his personal experience with implementing the 7 habits in his professional and personal life. From the findings, this thesis comes to the conclusion that Covey's system of 7 habits is possibly a quality source of information when searching for universal principles of effectivity. Implementation of cross-sectional themes in the curriculum and teaching

The central theme of this work is cross-cutting themes. The author analyzes them from various parts, but in the context of the curriculum.The aim of the first part is to provide a comprehensive picture of the cross-sectional themes. Therefore, this section comprises of several analyzes. Critical comments and experiences of the author are an integral part of the thesis. At the end of this section, the author would like to offer the revision of the cross-sectional themes in the curriculum. Research part of thesis answers the fundamental question "How is dealt with cross-sectional themes and how are they implemented in the school curriculum, teaching and school life?" Furthermore he notes in particular the obstacles that teachers have in practice when implement the cross-sectional themes.Fundamental research method of this study is intrinsitive case study. The author was collecting the data and gaining experience for three years. He depicts the acquired knowledge in detail through a story.In conclusion, the study summarizes the most important findings.
