Correlation of human figure and tree drawings
Matoušková, Tereza ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Miloš (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the figure drawing test and the tree test from the projective point of view, based on the books written by Zdeněk Altman. I focus on the interconnection between these two kinds of drawings. The thesis contains the basic characteristics of these two methods and discussion about their scientific basis. I describe the process of using the books as manuals for drawing analysis. This thesis also contains results of drawing analysis and characterization of their authors. Fifteen adolescents placed in a children's home participated in research. In conclusion, I address the correlation of both drawings.
The Role of Human Figure in Indicative Test of School maturity
Michálková, Anna ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
The thesis deals with the role of drawing of a human figure in Jirásek's Orientation Test of school maturity. The aim is to contribute to the development of theory of tested abilities. Empirical material consists of the works of preschool children in the Oriental Test of School Maturity, including the one for verbal thinking and in a selected set of Raven color progressive matrices. Data collection took place in two phases, four months apart. The underlying question is whether performance in drawing of a human figure will correlate more closely with performance in other tasks that are also oriented towards nonverbal (vs. verbal) and infralogical (vs. logical) operations. It turned out that it is not the case since the correlation is related rather to the degree of the general intellectual level. When analyzing developmental correlations within the given time frame, the development of drawing of a male character was grasped as a variable working synchronously with the development of other tasks. It was also grasped in the first phase as an independent variable and also as a dependent variable. Applying stricter correlation rates it has been shown that in a time interval of 4 months, the initial level of drawing of a human figure does not significantly affect development in other areas.Weaker...

Theoretical part focuses on specification of primary school age, aggression, aggressivity and children's drawing. Empirical part's content is a mixed research with main goal of comparing drawings of boys with aggresive tendencies with drawings of boys without these tendencies or with much less of them. The research question asks in what attributes the drawings of both groups of boys are different. In the research The Hand Test was used, through which the research sample for drawing of a human figure was chosen. The drawing describes the differences between the groups based on stated criteria related to aggressivity in drawings. Results show that group of boys with aggressive tendencies from the research sample displays most of the given criteria to a greater extent.
Signals of anxiety in drawings of primary school children
ČERNÁ, Adéla
This bachelor thesis deals with the extent of using drawing techniques as indicative screening method for detecting increased level of anxiety and anxiousness of primary school children. The basic terminology such as anxiousness, anxiety and fear are defined in the theoretical part. The thesis focuses on the issue of anxiety and anxiousness of children attending primary schools as well as on using children's drawings as a diagnostic tool with an orientation on human body drawing. Signs of anxiety are described from different point of view of several authors in the last chapter. These signs will be further examined in the practical part. A scale for measuring degree of anxiety and anxiousness was used in the practical part. This scale served as a tool for dividing respondents into three groups. The aim of the survey was to find out the differences in human body drawing tests among respondents of different degrees of anxiety. The groups were compared in these human body drawing tests according to specific defined signs of anxiety. The results of the thesis could support measurability of anxiety signs and usage of drawing techniques in the area of children psychodiagnosis.

ABSTRACTS The theme of this thesis is the use of diagnostic methods in assessing school maturity. In the theoretical part, I defined the concept of school readiness, school readiness and school signs of maturity. Furthermore, this work includes the determination of the concept of postponement of schooling. I compared the psychological assessment in educational and psychological counseling and nursery schools. I offered an overview of diagnostic methods used and the method characterized individually. In conclusion, we evaluated the use of the most common diagnostic methods.
