The National Archival Collection of the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the The National Archival Collection of the Czech Republic (CR NKF). The library collection is absolutely unique in its main objective that is to collect all Czech and foreign bohemical printed and non-printed documents, including journals since 1901. This thesis aims to introduce this collection both in a historical and current context, especially via library line or through ongoing projects in cooperation with the CR NKF. In the end, the work exaplains long-term protection and preservation of modern library collections in foreign countries and compares it with the situation in the NKF in the Czech Republic.

The structure of the Municipal Library in Děčín and its services for users

(anglicky) The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the establishing of the Děčín library as well as its organizational structure and services. The first chapter is about the history of the town and its cultural background. The second chapter is about historical development and the current state of library - its organizational structure, equipment and financing is described at the third chapter. All library departments, library services and library collection are described in the fourth part. The last chapter is about library's educational center and the construction of the new library building.

Cílem metodiky akvizice cizojazyčné literatury je stanovení optimalizace pro výběr, zpracování a zpřístupnění informačních zdrojů tak, aby se efektivně uplatnila při práci se čtenáři veřejných knihoven. Materiál zohledňuje potřeby literatury určené k rozvoji jazykových dovedností obyvatel, zhodnotil i stav doplňování cizojazyčnou literaturou v jazycích národnostních a etnických menšin, zejména práci knihoven s polskou literaturou na Těšínsku.

Courts libraries in the Czech Republic

Aim of this bachelor's thesis is to characterize the current state of judicial libraries in the Czech Republic. Judicial system in the Czech Republic and the organization of court libraries are described in this work. Aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out how and by whom are court libraries managed, how big is their fund, who is in charge of the library and what services they provide for judges. Libraries selected for the comparison are library of the Constitutional Court in Brno, Library of the Czech Supreme Court and the Library of the Arbitration Court in Prague. A complaints book in the library - examples of the use and effectiveness

Bachelor's thesis describes the analysis of the entries in the Books of wishes and complaints about the practice of free different types of libraries. Entries are analyzed of view form and content, and then dividend according to the formal processing of the types of records that are subsequently dividend according dates and according to content, broken down into categories and subcategories that describe the subjekt entries. Further on, response libraries thus obtained suggestions and feedback to the scene chosen by comparing the best practices and recommended its improvement. The work is made up of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the tendency is the definition of the term Suggestions and complaints and are described embodiment, a complaints book with which a user might encounter in the Czech libraries. In the practical part is a description of the analysis, which took place in the National Library, Regional Library in Pardubice and Prague MunicipalLibrary.

Geographical analysis of localisation of libraries in the South Bohemian region

This bachelor's thesis deals with creating of the database of libraries in the South Bohemian region and with geographical analysis of them. The main aim of this thesis is to analyse libraries from a spatial and structural point of view. In the beginning, the topic is set into issues of cultural geography and services. Assessment of the employment rate in the cultural section including libraries according to the classification of economic activities CZ-NACE is also part of this thesis and this assessment is focused on the comparison of the South Bohemian region with other regions of the Czech Republic. The last part of this thesis includes an analysis of selected indicators assessing the significance of libraries (number of readers, size of library fund, etc.) in relation to specific social-demographic characteristics of population (education, age, sex) according to the municipalities in region, including an explanation of connections based mainly on the correlation analyses that were done. Mutual relations are assessed on the basis of the results of these analyses. Maps representing chosen "library" characteristics in a spatial relations are also important part of this thesis.

Vývoj nákladů na knihovní fond a jejich souvislost s registrovanými čtenáři vybrané knihovny

Antošová, I. Development of costs of the library fund and their connection with registered readers of a selected library. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2015. This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of development of costs of the library fund and development of number of registered readers in a selected library from 1999 to 2014. Possible influence between observed variables is verified. The theoretical part describes sources of financing in libraries. Another section explains methods of time series and regression analysis. The practical part of the thesis evaluates the development of time series and it also determines the predictions for 2015. Possible influence between the number of readers and the costs of the library fund is investigated at the end of the practical chapter.
