Design and verification of an exercise program for swimmers according to the method of Spiral Stabilization of the Spine
LANDAUEROVÁ, Martina
The graduation thesis deals with the design and verification of an exercise program to improve the posture of competitive swimmers in the category of younger adolescents. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the anatomical overview of the skeletal and muscular system, it also deals with the effects of competitive swimming on the musculoskeletal system, the characteristics of compensatory exercises and Spiral stabilization of the spine. Content analysis, synthesis, and standardized test for posture according to Jaroš and Lomíček were used in this graduation thesis. The group of test subjects consisted of 2 boys and 4 younger girls from the Příbram Swimming Club. Based on the results of the initial testing, an exercise program was designed according to the Spiral Stabilization of the Spine method. Subsequently, the 10 minute exercise was applied 6 times per week for 3 months. Afterwards, output testing which was identical to the input testing was performed and changes were compared. Posture was improved in all swimmers examined. The verification of the exercise program can be considered successful. This thesis can serve as a base for swimming coaches in determining compensatory exercises.

To obtain the data, a non-standardized questionnaire was created, which included questions about injuries with a focus on the ankle joint, prevention rates and forms of follow-up care after the injury. The obtained data were processed using descriptive statistics and contingency tables, especially in Microsoft Excel 2003, and converted into a graphical form. Results: 92 % of players were injured in the junior category of the 1st league and extra league of the top volleyball. Objective: Training and abilities of two junior athletes Prepared by: Bc. Petr Dubský Supervisor: PaedDr. Jitka Vindušková, CSc. The aim of the work: The aim of the work was to determine the level of performance of selected members of the training group, namely two juniors. To analyze the structure and content of their training, their performance in selected tests, and performance development in their main disciplines. Methodology: The analysis of the competitive results from 2012 to 2017 was used to analyze the performance of the individual seasons. I also analyzed the training records, where general and special training indicators were evaluated and compared with the results of similar analyzes of other athletes. I will also analyze the three measurements we have completed with the whole training group. Conclusion: The result shows that the training load in selected athletes, either according to literature or in comparison with other athletes, is insufficient in both individuals. After evaluating testing, I concluded that the test types were wrongly selected. This work has confirmed the importance of keeping track of the training records.
