Optimising the use of solar energy in the family house
Letochová, Jana ; Gebauer, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on solar energy as an alternative sustainable energy source and its use in family homes. The first part focuses on possible connections of solar energy systems and their design using software simulations. The second part consists of a design for the preparation of hot water in the family home. Finally, a comparison of the efficiency of the set collector according to different calculation methods is included.
The module for control and data acquisition of Pyranometers
Halm, Martin ; Veselý, Aleš (referee) ; Stojan, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with measuring of intensity solar radiation by pyranometer. In theory discusses the principle of solar radiation and its effects on photovoltaic cells. Also describes methods to measure different components of solar radiation. A task work is realize station for long time monitoring of global and diffuse components of solar radiation by pyranometer and measured values evaluace
Wireless weather station
Filka, Tomáš ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a draft of wireless weather station, whose task is to measure basic values inside and outside the home. Measured variables are for example temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, wind speed and direction or concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2). These data will be transmitted to a web server for later processing. Possible technical solutions are described and the outcome is a designed printed circuit boards, which has been assembled and tested. Resulting system was tested in trial operation.
Solar radiation in place BUT FME Brno
Horváth, Josef ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the elaboration of measured solar radiation data collected from sensors placed on C3 building - BUT FSI localization in Brno. Data measured during 2007-08 and 2008-09. The aim of this thesis is to present the measured solar radiation data in statistical and graphical form, which can be used as a basis for the solar collectors and barrier-layer calculations. Part of the thesis creates also a comparison of incident solar radiation on a horizontal and sloping surface. We will encounter here with brief characteristics of solar radiation, possibilities of utilization and the ways of its measurement.
Study of thermal ratios of energetic storage for long-term saving energy in climate of Czech Republic
Kožík, Martin ; Šot, František (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Theoretical part of bachelor´s thesis deals with systems, which enable transformation of solar radiation to thermal energy. This energy can be used especially for domestic water heating or for heat the building. Most applied systems exploit sensibele or latent heat. In experimental part is simulated behaviour of heat accumulator to the given building in climate of Czech Republic.
Complex simulator of the solar irradiance
Petrov, Roman ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This work consists of a theoretical part, which deals with various ways of mathematical equations to model the thermal photovoltaic cell. Thermal modeling describes a photovoltaic cell temperature, and heat capacity of the photovoltaic cell. This temperature is usually function or directly dependent on the intensity of solar radiation. In the theoretical section explains several ways to model thermal photovoltaic cells. Thermal modeling is outside the scope of this paper, it is mainly the modeling of solar irradiance, which is discussed in detail in the next section, and then in the practical part. The practical part is concerned with constructing mathematical equations that describe the intensity of solar radiation. These mathematical equations are then used to build a mathematical model. The actual mathematical model is created in a computer program PSCAD, wherein the main input parameter of the intensity of solar radiation. This model can simulate the course of the sun, for which it is necessary to set various parameters such as: region, time of day, the seasons, but also has a function that is essential for modeling of solar radiation intensity, and it is cloudiness. Cloud is fundamentally changing the size of the radiation intensity, and its direct constituents. After compiling a complex simulator of solar irradiance, this simulator is tested for its validation in form of doing couple of graphical runs of intensity of solar radiation for various locations on Earth, which are time dependent.
Equipment for measuring of solar radiation intensity
Bobalík, Lukáš ; Dolenský, Jan (referee) ; Stojan, Radek (advisor)
This project offers a proposal and a solution of an equipment for measuring of solar radiation intensity. It lists reasons why to measure intensity, contains fundamentals of photovoltaics, deals with how electric energy is obtained from a solar radiation and how the intensity of solar radiation affects the power output of photovoltaic devices. The project also deals with prime facts about 4 – 20 mA current loop and serial RS-232 communication. Proposed design is based on usage of the pyranometer CMP 21, a PIC microcontroller and a current loop to create a device which gathers data and transfers them to a PC for further processing.
Development of the complex simulator of the solar irradiance and its cooperation with the PV module
Petrov, Roman ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The main point of this thesis is the extension of the complex solar radiation simulator, the creation of new functionalities, and the cooperation of this complex simulator with the PV power plant. This work builds on the work done in the area of solar radiation modeling. The thesis deals with the continuation, or improvement of some shortcomings, removing shortcomings, such as fixing the beginnings and ends of the simulation, correcting the calculation of sunrise and sunset, but also adding different types of clouds, combinations of different preset cloud situations, or data input, and more. These deficiencies are found in the bachelor's thesis "Complex Simulator of the solar irradiance", and PSCAD is the main tool in this work. Another important point of this work is the realization of the simulation where an improved solar radiation simulator works in cooperation with a model of a photovoltaic panel or a PV power plant, respectively. It has different operating states created in PSCAD. These include, for example, cloud crossings, both over the entire power plant and only partial. In addition, there are experiments that prove the fact that the direction of the incoming cloud plays a role in the power of the PV power plant.
