This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a cradle for babies and toys for children. Work consists of two parts. Theoretical part describes historical development of the cradles and toys. Furthermore, it focuses on dimensional, structural, material and hygienic requirements for the construction. There is also described the processing of market research in the given sectors. In practical part of the thesis the author applies knowledge and uses data processed in the theoretical part. The main aim of the second part is to design toys and the cradle, which could be used also in other stages of child development. The practical part also describes the design process from the first sketches to the final design of objects and the subsequent promotion of the entire collection.
How childhood toys and idols effect muscle dysmorphia in adulthood

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the influence of toys and idols during childhood to muscle dysmorphia in adults. The theoretical part presents general information about eating disorders and then it focuses on muscle dysmorphia and its aspects. The author than mentions drugs related to sport. Last chapters of the theoretical part are focused on body image and self-concept. In the empirical part, the author uses a questionnaire to find out if exposure to an above average muscular toys and idols can effect perception of ideal man's body in adults. The research group consisted of 461 respondents, all males. Research shows that respondents who were exposed to an above average muscular toys and idols achieve higher scores in questionnaire that deals with muscle dysmorphia, showing that they have different opinion on ideal male body than man who were not exposed.

The first part is about development of underwater hockey, history in the world and in the Czech Republic. The second part describes relationship between of the underwater hockey with underwater diving and underwater rugby. It describes the history and development of this sport in the world and in the Czech Republic. The third part is about the equipment for this sport and describes the rules of the game and competitions in the world. The fourth part is about game tactics and player position in the game. Gender aspects of parental choise of traditional and Montessori kindergarten

The thesis deals with gender aspects of parental choice of common and Montessori kindergarten. The theoretical part focuses on topics related to both gender identity and its development and with the preschool period, which is described primarily in terms of gender. Given that important parts of childhood are toys, the theoretical part also focuses on the gender aspect and explores it. Gender equality is offered as one of the possible approaches to children upbringing and education. The Montessori method of education occupies a large space of the theoretical part. The thesis also compares Montessori kindergartens with common kindergartens. Research of the thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of interviews with mothers of children in the pre-school and early school age. This analysis goes through all the interviews. It searches and then compares common categories. The research shows that parents choosing a kindergarten for their child do not reflect forms of gender socialization in the kindergarten. Alternative kindergarten is often chosen by parents of children who apply elements of gender- sensitive education in their upbringing. What do children do when they play? Acts of game with a doll and a toy car

Game is a key activity in preschool age, theme of my thesis is therefore related to acts of game and a role of toys in this particular age. Aim of my research is to describe gaming activities with toys, primarily with a doll and a toy car, which are the most typical toys for preschool children. It is very important for kindergarten teachers to know childrens preferences and attitude to the most used types of toys, because it is them, who choose the offer of toys and equipment of class. In theoretical part, I try to find out which areas of development are affected by game. Practical part deals with a semi-structured observation of game process and it determines game's gender dimension. By a method of interview with 27 parents and 25 children I try to find out their knowledge of basic toys, choice of toy itself, which toys kids possess and which toys they prefer. It can be expected, that preschool age children have built a basic gender identity, that is perceived by them as partly changeable. Gender Issues of Playing with Dolls

The topic of my bachelor's thesis is related to gender socialization and accepted stereotypes, which lead to a different education and interests of girls and boys. Main aim of my research is to explore attitudes of preschool children to different types of dolls and the toy choice itself. As play is a key activity in preschool age, it is important to know attitude and preferences of children to one of most used kind of toy. Another goal of my thesis is to figure out, whether the oldest children in kindergarten are gender distinctive and if their distinctiveness is displayed while playing with dolls and in dialog. I have also observed whether children in the doll's selection prefer physical appearance, or the cultural characteristics. According to the theory of development we may expect that preschool children have built basic gender identity, which is perceived by them as partly changable. I have chosen individual controlled interview and semi-structured observation to achieve the results. My research shows that children have a similar idea of toys that are designed to boys and girls (doll, car, building kit, Gormits). It is interesting that both girls and boys consider doll to be toy for both genders, although boys consider it after all to be rather feminine.

Gender differences between children take an important part in the process of creating their future concept of identity. It is important that people who care about children wouldn't restrict children because of following common gender stereotypes. Many differences between men and women are based on social rules so they are not naturally created. The aim of my work is to determine whether pre - school children are already so clear-cut in gender that it will affect the selection of toys and play or not. Based on developmental theories can be expected that preschoolers have already built the basic gender identity, but they still would be seen as partially changeable. To achieve the goals I used individual interview method with the children and their subsequent structured observations during their free play. Major outcome of my research is that preschool children in the most cases have the same idea like adults about what the girls and boys prefer. Observation of the free play shows that girls are not that strongly decided in gender questions as boys are.
