Design and Construction of a Two-Wheel Mobile Robot
Meisl, Milan ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design and construction of a two-wheeled mobile robot. In order to prepare a high-quality project, a testing carriage has been constructed serving as a basis of useful information for the final design and construction. Beside introduction and conclusion, the diploma thesis consists of four main parts. While the first part of the thesis briefly introduces the field of robotics, the theoretical part focuses both on particular components necessary for the robot's construction as well as the Segway vehicle which served as an inspiration for the robot's functionality. After characteristics of a testing carriage, attention is devoted to individual methods of stabilization, with several different types of sensors being used. Furthermore, the chapter on mechanical design examines choice of devices and their position and provides a scheme for their construction. The electrical design follows afterwards, describing circuits that were considered optimal for the designed wiring. The forth part of the diploma thesis concentrates on the construction of a two-wheeled carriage and covers following topics: construction of mechanical components, production of electric boards, programmatic equipment of the carriage and its implementation, testing of the carriage and finally also an evaluation of achieved results.
Design of control unit for two-wheeled self-balancing vehicle
Bastl, Michal ; Klimeš, David (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a part of a project of two students. The aim of the project is to design safer electronics for the unstable balancing vehicle HUMMER and implementation of advanced diagnostics and fault detection. In the first part of the project we analysed the original vehicle using the FMEA analyse and created a new concept of the vehicle. The second part of the project describes a new hardware. I designed and tested the power electronics, control unit and supplies. The outputs of the work are prototypes which allow testing a new concept.
Single-phase DC/AC converter with output parameters 230 V / 50 Hz / 100 VA
Smolák, Martin ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master‘s thesis focuses on optimization of power and control circuits of an inverter, which was developed at UVEE. The principle of function and circuit implementation of a single-phase inventer, various calculations (design of an LC filter, DC link capacitor, semiconductor elements and heat sink) are described in the thesis. A design of fast overcurrent protections, oscillator and saw signal generator is included. Furthermore, a printed circuit board was designed which was optimized by thermal simulation in the Workbench Ansys. Subsequently, the printed circuit board was mounted, debugged and verification measurements were performed on it. At the end of the thesis there is a documentation for the implemented equipment.
Universal drive unit
Sehnálek, Lubomír ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This document deal with design of universal driving unit. For the final solution is required driving unit which will be controled with help of sensory unit placed on the chassis of driving unit. In theoretical part of this labour are examined possibilities of a power, electric motor operation by PWM, kind of chassis and odometry which could be taken into account. From this section is finally chosen concrete configuration which is then described in chapter concerned oneself with driving unit design. Construction of equipment is shown in next chapter where final configuration of equipment is described.
Small path follower robot
Zacpal, Michal ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kopečný, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and subsequent implementation of the control system for small path follower robot. On the introduction are presents the platform´s on which the system was built. In the next section are gradually introduced: A module for following the line (HW, SW), modul for control motors (HW, SW) and the control unit (HW, SW). Then is presents construction on which the system was tested. Finally, there were implemented two algorithms for tracking lines. Whole system, including the plug moduls is built on Atmel microcontrollers, and this ATmega8 and ATmega328. They are based on open - source platform Arduino, because they contain Arduino bootloader. Microcontrollers using I2C bus to communicate each other. Control unit is using to communicate with users LCD display and four buttons. For scanning a line is using five reflective optocoupler CNY70.
Intelligent control of train track model
Prokš, Jiří ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is design of elements intelligent control of train track model. The first part of the thesis is focused on principle of data communication. It explains what it is data communication and how it works out. Practical part of the thesis is focused on designe of communication. Data communication is realized by infrared radiation. Practical part describes the funcional parts of system and their design, such as: control part, receiver and transmitter, switching elements and h-bridge. Properties of elements specialize for model of railway are considered in design. Summary of the design’s parameters, use, advantages and disadvantages are described at the end of this thesis.
Model of Nonlinear System
Florian, Radim ; Holý, Miroslav (referee) ; Ošmera, Pavel (advisor)
The Thesis provides the project and realization of non-linear system, consisting of direct electric motor and dynamo that are linked together with flexible connector. Firstly, there are decscribed the principles of turns control in direct motor. Secondly, the thesis shows the construction of operating panel with microcontroller PIC16F877. Finally, the last part brings the evaluation of mesurements and suggests various improvements of the operational panel.
Power circuits for feeding the magnetic bearing
Chudá, Kateřina ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
Magnetic bearings are used to keep objects in certain position via magnetic force. There is no creation of friction, because there is no touch. It is necessary to supply magnetic bearings with electric energy. Linear transistor amplifiers or switched-mode amplifiers can be used to supply them with electric energy.
Digital secondary clock
Hortvík, Martin ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement control electronics for digital secondary clocks. The first part is focused on familiarization with the issue of the use of secondary clocks. Subsequently, the work deals with the design of electronics for generating minute pulses. The first part of the proposal is to ensure the correct voltage size and polarity of pulse. The exact timing pulses are provided by a pair of control circuits, Atmega8 microcontroller and RTC. The last part describes the procedure of realization of electronics by making schema, design and manufacture PCB, circuit revive and the implementation of the module into case.
Design of paraglider landing simulator
Wertheimer, Pavel ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Practice of landing with paraglider is very inefficient since every flight requires lengthy preparation. Therefore paragliding schools look for a more efficient alternative how to train new pilots. A paraglider flying simulator, which is the subject of this Master`s Thesis, could be that alternative. The design of the simulator includes three parts: a mechanical part - a frame to hang a pilot, that is the same as in real paraglider; an electronic part - scanning of pilot`s control actions and control of force in breaks of a paraglider; and a software part - a design of firmware for a microcontroller. Within the Master`s thesis a function prototype has been made.
