Spontaneous play of preschool children in kindergarten.
BARTOŠKOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor work deals with the phenomenon called a free play. In the theoretical part of the bachelor work there are described the perspectives of famous theoreticians on the play, the gradual development of the play by preschool child and further the benefits of the play for his complex development. The conclusion of the theoretical part deals with a free play, its specifications and its sense for preschool education. The aim of the bachelor work is to monitor what space reality for a free play in different nursery schools there is and what attitude towards the play the nursery school pedagogues adopt. In the practical part the method of observation of children was used for the research, but not only in a free play but also all day long during their stay in the nursery school. The data acquisition of individual pedagogues´ attitudes to a free play was made in the form of interviews. From the results of the observations and interviews it is obvious that the space for a free play is mainly influenced by the total time of the children´s stay in nursery schools, but even by the pedagogues´ abilities to arrange the daily routine in such a way that the free play is more included. From the research further follows that the space, which is determined for the play, depends on the children´s age.

Bendíková, Barbora ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Kapuciánová, Magdaléna (referee)
In the Bachelor thesis the author deals with the topic of forest kindergartens. Nowadays, the topic of forest kindergartens is becoming more and more topical. During the last few years, their number has started to increase both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Parents of young children often consider this alternative to traditional preschool education. This work examines what the authors of selected scientific articles from the Web of Science database on forest kindergartens are focusing on, which countries the published research is from, what are the differences on the topic in the countries examined and what findings the authors of the studies have come to. The bachelor's thesis, following the research, also presents a description of the author's own experience from the ERASMUS+ programme in Denmark, in Aarhus, at VIA University College from the programme "Nature and Social Education" and her own practical experience from a Czech forest kindergarten. The thesis is designed as a search based on methodically obtained articles from the Web of Science database. The search is prepared using the PRISMA method. Masnerová, Lucie ; Hejlová, Helena (referee) ; Opravilová, Eva (referee)

The theoretical part provides a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2 - 4 years old children, and lays a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on two observations (in the span of one year and half a year) of free play of two homogenous groups of children, monitors the development of play and finds out, how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. This part follows the process of incorporation of the child into the play group, influence of gender of the child on the choice of a toy. Then it focuses on the course of pretend and role plays of 2,5 - 4 years old children. It monitors which themes of plays and which roles children choose and how active children are in the play with the children of similar age. The main method of the research is observation. The conclusion from the outcome of the research shows importance of free play for a preschool child and the changes in its course and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization. Maršánová, Jindřiška ; Hejlová, Helena (advisor) ; Koťátková, Soňa (referee)
Play activities in kindergartens are the key method for general development of a child between tree and six years of age. In personality-orientated education the free, induced and didactic play is the starting point for the development of children's prosocial behaviour and perception. In the theoretical part the meanings of the play types are explained with regards to age specifications focusing on the development of children's prosocial behaviour and perception. The practical part verifies the possibilities of plays with prosocial targets and their influence on prosocial behaviour and perception of children in selected classed. It surveys typical problem situations which arise while playing and shows the models of their solution.
Free play of 2-4year old children in a foreign-language kindergarten
Masnerová, Lucie ; Koťátková, Soňa (advisor) ; Opravilová, Eva (referee)
This diploma thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on free play of children in pre-school facilities. Kindergarten is the place of early secondary socialization of the child and that's why one part of the diploma thesis is centred on this theme. The theoretical part helps for a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2-4 year old children and builds a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on one year's observation, monitors development of free play of a homogeneous group of children and finds how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. Another focus lies on comparing two separate groups of children in their free play - one group having long term experience with free play and one without such regular experience. The main method of the research is observation. The results of the research points to the importance of free play for a pre-school age child and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization.
