Schmied, Petr ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Zemplinerová, Alena (referee)
Lately, when many countries were affected by a strong economic recession, many government representatives pointed out the need of foreign investments in our economy. Investments are the cornerstone of modern national economy. Countries therefore endeavour to attract as many investors as possible using various investment incentives. The aim of the present thesis is to discover whether these incentives represent an effective option for obtaining investments. There have been several notable analyses on this subject. By comparing the conclusions of two analyses, which yielded contradictory results, we can find out whether this system should be used in the future. The thesis also outlines a realistic model that could determine the actual fiscal impact of investment incentives.
