Differences in the resolution of sea territories conflicts in areas with energy resources

Energy security is an important phenomenon of the contemporary world. A significant number of oil and gas reserves are located on the seabed. Expansion of oil and gas drilling to deeper and from shore more remote locations can again raise the question of ownership of these deposits. On one hand, there are regions of the world where these disputes over borders of maritime territories escalate into a series of clashes and incidents. On the other hand, there are other areas where states can settle their disputes and cooperate on drilling. The goal of this study is to determine which factors lead to the fact that particularly in the South China Sea disagreement about the boundaries of maritime territories results in the escalation of disputes in comparison with the regions of the North Sea and the Caribbean Sea, where disputes are solved or minimized. These factors are represented by six variables, which are based on three theories: a realist, idealist and constructivist theory of international relations. Sustainability principles of fish stock of cultural monuments and historical settlements water elements

The object of the monuments procedure is to put into practice suitable and verified principles of composition of fish stocks of cultural monuments water elements, for production ponds and reservoirs, and for ornamental reservoirs, basins and pools. At the same time, it brings information about methods of fish stock management, principles of introduction of predatory fish, use of fish for biomelioration of aquatic environment. It also provides recommendations for the maintenance and care of farmed fish. To achieve this, it also includes a section aimed at identifying and describing an appropriate approach to solutions to improve water status, including water quality, and ensure the sustainability of fish stocks. Part of the monuments procedure is also a brief analysis of the issue of degradation of the reservoirs and ponds environment from the perspective of fish survival, due to pollution and water eutrophication. It also describes the individual causes of the unsuitable state of the aquatic environment.

Angling Management in the Slapy Riverine Lake

The master's thesis focuses on Slapy valley reservoir which is first described as a suitable location for fishing and recreation. Special attention is also paid to its history. The main body of the thesis features the enumeration and characteristics of individual fish species which occur in the reservoir. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the evaluation of the fishing management of the reservoir from 1962 to 2016 considering fish stock and catches of individual species. Factors influencing the development and dynamics of the fish stock are also evaluated. The summary management of Slapy valley reservoir is analyzed in terms of fish stocking and fishing yields. In addition, the population dynamics trends of predatory and non-predatory fish species are analyzed on the basis of fishing catches. In the conclusion, the current condition of the fish stock is evaluated and some minor recommendations for optimizing the fishing management of the reservoir are proposed. Plankton of small village ponds

The object of my thesis was to document the basic characteristics of four small ponds. Register seasonal changes in the occurrence of selected zooplankton groups and compare individual ponds among them. Then evaluate management on ponds and assess the possible impact on the formation of plankton. These results were then compared with the current situation on standard economic ponds. In this study, I observed three private ponds and local pond, which were located in the cadastral area Lodhéřov. From the results it is evident, that the zooplankton development was in private ponds very slow, while at local pond was developed zooplankton quickly. The diversity of zooplankton species was higher in local pond. On private ponds showed a high increase in fish, which amounted to R1 597 kg/ha and R3 519 kg/ha. In terms of management of ponds R2 was the least effective because the gain was only 113 kg/ha. Private ponds, according to the average annual ration 2910 kg/ha still ranked in halfintesification, while local pond to intensification ration with 4557 kg/ha.
Evaluation of Great Cormorant predation activities (Phalacrocorax carbo sinensis) during the spring and autumn migration to ponds on School´s Piscicapture in Protivín between the years 2009-2011

Evaluation of Great Cormorant predation activities (Phalacrocorax carbo sinensis) during the spring and autumn migration to ponds on School´s Piscicapture in Protivín between the years 2009 - 2011 and compensation for damages in accordance to the law No. 115/2000 Coll. I compared the results of self-monitoring with the majority known information from many sources in the literature and confirmed the fact that predation pressure are frequently exposed those ponds which are providing food supply in the form of dense fish stock with an acceptable piece weighing 0.03 to 0.5 kg independently on the size of the pond. Confirmed facts are exposed to the conclusion on today's constantly evolving legislation allowing compensation for damages caused by Great cormorant - Act No. 115/2000 Coll. versus regulations No. 393/2012 Coll. and No. 432/2005 Coll.
The influence of biotic and abiotic factors on the communities of predatory diving beetles

Diving beetles (Dytiscidae) are important inhabitants of water bodies, where their adults and larvae often represent top predators in the absence of fish. I carried out a literature review of biotic and abiotic factors that may affect the occurrence of aquatic insects with emphasis on the impact of aquaculture practises. In 2011 and 2012 I also carried out a field survey at two pond systems near Jindřichův Hradec. I used five baited traps in both the littoral zone and at the edge of the littoral zone and open water. Ponds with fish usually had very low diving beetle abundances, although one pond with fish but well-developed littoral zone had a relatively high number of species, similar to ponds without fish. My survey therefore confirmed high importance of littoral vegetation for diving beetles. This implies that intensive aquaculture practises are detrimental for the diversity of aquatic insects at a given locality. I have also found one individual of the rare diving beetle Colymbetes striatus, previously known from only a few localities in the Czech Republic.
Comparison of species composition and dynamics of zooplankton communities in ponds with extensive management.

Dynamics and species composition of zooplankton communities were studied in the three experimental ponds (43, 46, and 48) located in VÚRH JU in Vodňany. In all three ponds was carried out extensive rearing of common carp. Zooplankton samples were collected during three growing seasons (2008, 2009, 2010), usually once in each month. Together with zooplankton sampling, water chemical analyzes were also done. Zooplankton diversity and abundance was mainly influenced by the fish stock.
Analysis of an environmental conflict - opinions of main groups of the inhabitants in the pond water area on the subject of the presence of cormorants (fishermen and holidaymakers) and media analysis

The thesis was chosen on the basis of the continuation of the bachelor´s work. This thesis is focused on the literature search of problems of the conflicts between the protection of cormorants and the interest of fishery, further on the media analysis in the Czech Republic and finally on the processing of opinions of various groups of respondents (holidaymakers in the area called ´Třeboňsko´ and Czech fishermen). The opinions of questioned people were obtained from controlled interviews written down and processed in the questionnaires. The available information shows that a number of the protected cormorants is increasing not only in the Czech Republic but all over the world. The increase of the number of cormorant population causes problems especially to fishery, because cormorants cause the damage by catching fish stock. These conflicts in the problem area are mostly promoted in the media. In the problem area there are important opinions of the key groups of inhabitants. Groups of questioned people demonstrated their knowledge: holidaymakers in the area called ´Třeboňsko´ have basic knowledge in cormorants and problems caused by cormorants. On the contrary, fishermen are well-informed about the problem. The fishermen are more interested in the problem. Media are very important for solving conflicts and forming opinions of various groups of people. Media analysis showed that most spokesmen, who initiated writing newspaper articles were just fishermen. Therefore the articles on the cormorants are negative and without opinions on the spokesmen as member of general public or academics. Results of the sociological analysis have feed back on the results of the media analysis. It was found out that in the Czech Republic there had not been drawn up any management of fish protection againts cormorants. That is why I prefer to suggest the management in the near future. I recommend to follow the existing foreign management, forexample, in Great Britain. Further, I propose to change the Czech legislation for lower payment of the compensation for the damage caused by cormorants.
Cladocerans and copepodans biodiversity in Naděje fishponds systém.

Biodiversity of planktonic crustaceans, cladocerans and copepodans in southbohemian Naděje fishponds system were studied. Both fishpond and non-fishpond (pools, canals, sand-pits, river) localities were observed. Samples were taken from pelagic and littoral zones. Total of 21 species of copepodans and 44 species of cladocerans were recorded over whole area. Hypothesis {\clq}qA higher fish management intensity and higher fish stock cause a lower diversity of zooplankton in a pelagic zone`` was proven. Suppressed species are able to survive in a smaller space (littoral zones, pools, canals, fishponds with a lower fish stock and other non-fishpond localities), where predation pressure is not so strong. None or mild decline of a species diversity can be observed in large areas rich in different water ecosystems, with a reasonable management and production intensity. Different methods of sampling were also compared, those of {\clq}qprolovení litorálních partií`` proved good with the view of effectiveness.
