Financial Products in Secondary School Education

The thesis deals with the analysis of the teaching of financial products in different types of secondary schools and grammar schools with special attention to the comparison of teaching of this issue. In the theoretical part it focuses on the theoretical knowledge of financial products, their classification and terminology. It explains the different types of financial products, such as savings and investment products, loans and various forms of insurance. The advantages and disadvantages of each financial product are highlighted, with an emphasis on critical thinking in choosing the most appropriate product. The practical part is based on a content analysis of the Framework Education Programme and School Education Programme as a framework for teaching financial products in secondary schools and grammar schools. The research then seeks to answer the question of what teaching financial products looks like in practice. The real situation in teaching is outlined by teachers in the form of in-depth interviews. This focuses on different approaches and methods in teaching, the materials used, the involvement of students' practical understanding, but also on the approach to the topic of teaching financial literacy itself, of which financial products are an integral part. Collection of exercises of financial mathematics for high schools

This bachelor thesis is focused on solved tasks from financial mathematics. Chosen tasks were complemented with possible use of modern technology (internet calculators, spreadsheet Microsoft Excel and a computational knowledge engine Wolfram Alpha). A collection of tasks is intended for high schools and contains these topics: inflation, exchange rate, interest (simple and compound, decursive and anticipative), loans, APR, mortgage, savings (short-term, long-term and combined) and financial products with state support. The basis for creating tasks is Framework Education Programme for Secondary General Education. The tasks were created with emphasis on the development of key competences in accordance with FEP SGE.

The aim of the thesis was to compare the teaching of financial literacy at the lower secondary schools and lower grammar school degree. Comparison has shown the inconsistency of financial literacy teaching and the need to address the situation. One of the suggestions for improving financial literacy education is the creation of a set of worksheets based on the framework educational programs for basic education according to standards of financial literacy for lower secondary schools and lower grammar school.
Financial literacy and budgeting of the Czech household

The author of this bachelor´s thesis tries to explain the basic information related to financial literacy and its importance in everyday life, primarily for making budget and during financial planning. Additionally it deals with chosen products, that a finantially literate individual as part of their improvement, should know and be able to use. The thesis also focuses on the practical application of the chosen financial products to reach a set of goals derived for a model family in real conditions. The result is an understandable manual, which a family in a similar situation could use to its adavantage.
The Use of a Bridging Loan or Mortgage of Selected Financial Institutions Regarding the Value of a Purchased Asset

The topic of this bachelor thesis is The use of a bridging loan or mortgage in selected financial institutions regarding the value of a purchased asset. There were created two specific variants for this work which were different in the price of real estate. Three financial institutions were selected for comparison of mortgage and three financial institutions for comparison of loans from building savings (loans from building savings has got two phases phase of bridging loans and phase of regular loans from building savings. In this work there were compared this criteria- interest rate, RPSN rate, monthly repayments and final price which is paid by client to financial institutions for lending money. The most convenient variant of both specific variants was from financial institutions Raiffeisen stavební spořitelna, who was offered loans from building savings. All compared criteria were better than other. The offer on the second place was mortgage from Raffeisenbank. Conversely, the most disadvantageous offer was loan from building savings from Wüstenrot stavební spořitelna.

Comparing of investment and saving possibilities for common clients in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this final work is to compare different saving and investment possibilities for common clients in the Czech Republic and also to explain basic terms relating to investments and financial products. This work mostly deals with "magic triangle", where dominant criteria are profit, risk and cash position. Furthermore, methods of different types of variants´ evaluation and setting scale methods, which were applied on three different products for three diverse types of clients, are explained here. Advantges of these methods are that they impeach importance of criteria chosen by a client. Particular offers are rated this way and ordered from the best option to the worst.
Personal & Family Financial Planning

The first goal of this bachelor thesis is to introduce current best-selling financial products and to describe their appropriate usage. The second goal is to describe major ways of distribution of financial products and point out some problems from the "only good for the customers'" point of view. Third goal is to introduce personal and family financial planning and put particular financial products into this context. Chosen issues are described from the practical point of view of a financial advisor with two years' experience in the field. Thanks to this experience I describe not only how the financial planning "should take place", but also how the financial planning in some cases "takes place". In addition to that I describe most common ways, how sellers on the Czech financial market cheat their customers.
