The topic of my bachelor thesis is Photography and the Author's Book. I deal in it with a brief chronological history of the medium of photography and, in a little more detail, with contemporary photography. I follow a similar approach to the phenomenon of author's books and their various variations and forms, where I also briefly introduce the medium of zine. After the author's book, the work moves on to the combination of the author's book and photography and photographic publications. Then, the various author's files, photography books, author's books and visual files are mentioned in the thesis, which are also described in terms of how they work with text, photography and their overall visuality. All of these publications are contemporary productions in the Czech Republic, no more than 5 years old, and their subject matter is similar to that of my author's photography book (nature, feelings, music), which I describe in detail in the artistic part of the thesis. The artistic part consists of an author's photographic project presented in the form of an author's book, in which I try to connect the theme of nature, feelings with images accompanied by music. I also incorporate other elements into my work - artefacts, natural objects and glass fragments that I have collected during my photographic...

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the topic of understanding and experiencing emotions of the hearing-impaired users of sign language. Describes similarities and differences in understanding emotions and emotional experience of the target group and the intact population, and within theoretical and practical parts strives to point out causes of potential differences. The theoretical part summarizes the most important influences on personality development of the hearing-impaired users of sign language and their emotional experiencing, among them e.g. nature of family environment, type of adopted communication system, specific education strategies, and different views and population attitudes towards the hearing-impaired. The empirical part includes two interviews conducted with experts on the issue of hearing impairment, and results of the color-semantic differential test, supplemented with individual expressions of emotions and stimulus words related to the topic of the thesis. Differences in the evaluation of the stimulus words and individual associations are also described. Outcomes of interviews describe similarities and differences between the target and control group, alternatively their explanation. Test results point to some differences in dissimilarity of emotional intensity, in value hierarchy of stimulus words, and in the number of discrepancies between conscious and unconscious evaluation of stimulus words. Due to the limited size of the research sample and the methods used, it is not advisable to generalize the results of this paper. The conclusions of the thesis may serve a topic for further studies.
