A child in a dysfunctional family environment

This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the functions of the family and their disorders with respect to the child in the first chapter. The second chapter describes the dysfunctional family. The third part shows the inappropriate effects of such families on the development of the child's personality and his primary socialization. The aim of the practical part is to show through case studies examples of possible effects of mental deprivation in childhood experienced in one's own family on parental and partner role in adulthood.
The adverse life conditions of single mothers in the Czech Republic and their possible solutions from the perspective of social work

This assessment deals with very discussed topic in the field of social work, women, who raise their children themselves. The term single parent is explained in the introduction part of the assessment followed by terms family functions, incomplete families and their breakdown. This is followed by intorudction of economic impacts, poverty feminisation and women rights. Then the assessment addresses the support of women. The goal of this assessment was to introduce life of single mothers and to find out which economic aspects have an impact on their life standards based on expert resources, literature and conducted survey. To complete the goal, a qualitative survey was used based on half-structured interviews. The results of the survey are examined in the following discusion, then repeated in general at the final stage of the assessment which is supposed show the importance of single parenting in our society and the difficulties single mothers have to face. These difficulties are the hardship of finding an employment, a life balance between work and parenting and caring for children, shortage of pre-school and childcare services, and stigmatisation in the society. This assessment is also dedicated to everyone, who wants to gain a deeper insight in to the single parenting topic and how single mothers live and cope.
A Romany chilďs out-of-biological family placement

The bachelor thesis focuses on the location of a Roma child outside the biological family. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of family as a concept, family function, family typology, dysfunctional family and its types. It is followed by a description of the history and culture of the Roma. The practical part contains an analysis of statistical data on the removal of children from Roma families and controlled interviews with the staff of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The aim is to map, analyze and describe the most common reasons that in the Czech Republic lead to the placement of a Roma child outside the biological family and compare these reasons with the analogous situations of families in the majority society.
The path to restoring broken family functions through remediation

This theses deals with the subject of family from the perspective of her malfunction, when the family is offered help and support through the redevelopment of the family. The first part characterizes the family as a whole, deals with the family and types of families according to functionality. Here is introduced to a dysfunctional family, in which endangered a child or where may cause danger. Furthermore, here is closer specified vulnerable child in the family. Here is presented and characterized methods to help family redevelopment. In the conclusion of the work is given a concrete example of cooperation of the authority of socio-legal protection of children and the nono-profit organization that is rehabilitating the family deals with. An example of a family is indicated through case histories in the cooperation of all involved in the assistance to the family.
Family with multiple issues

The diploma work deals with the problems today's families suffer from, also deals with the support that can be given to dysfunctional families in the Czech Republic. Description of functional family and the family definition itself is the integral part of the diploma work. The text also brings information about criminal activities of under age children, CAN syndrome, divorce and about essential and important laws related to family problematics. The theoretical part is completed with practical examples obtained at interviews. The aim of the diploma work is to define and to analyze the problems, to summarize the assistance and support of today's families and, last but not least, to provide the description of the law leaning on the family assistance.
Social consequences of disease

The effort of this bachelor thesis was to clarify the way how social consequences of an illness in a family with an unprovided child emerge, and to find out whether there is a possibility of prevention. The terms of health and illness were defined. The thesis deals with the meaning of familyx and its historical context in a wider sense. The reason was to point to the serious status of the family during an illness. Basic faily functions were introduced and their effect on its members. The uniqueness of family within the assurance system and help throughout an unfavourable life situation have been succesfully confirmed. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis has been supported by practice experience summed up in case studies. Individual cases were randomly picked connected to mothers´ interest to participate in the contents of this thesis, and their need to share their experience. They want to help people who suddenly find themseves in a similar situation. The thesis includes a knowledge of a wider family importance, which is being underestimated these days, and the thesis may serve as a source for understanding family relations during a period of illness and social consequences of the illness on the family.
Family and ways of prevention of socially deviant behavior among youth

The thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part consists of four chapters, empirical investigation, the practical part.Chapter one focuses on the notion of family and its importance. Except for clarification of the concept are described the basic characteristics of the family now, basic functions of the family and educational styles. Conclusion of the firts chapter looks at the family as a potential risk factor of development and socio-pathological behavior in children and adolescents. The second chapter explains the basic concepts of social deviance and social pathology and describes the main causes of social pathologies. The third chapter describes the various social pathologies, which pose the greatest risk for the age group of children and adolescents. There are described in more detail: dependence on psychoactive substances, aggression and violence, vandalism, bullying, cyber crime and delinquency and pathological gambling. The fourth chapter is devoted to prevention, especially for a preventive action in the family. Practical part is an empirical investigation, in which the case study of ten children and adolescents who have committed some form of pathological behavior.
