Practical use of knowledge systems in automotive diagnostics

This thesis in its theoretical part summarizes international knowledge of the problematics of expert systems and their application in automotive diagnostics. In the practical part it solves the methodology and selection of appropriate expert system for the development of diagnostic application. This issue is further elaborated by the methodology of an expert´s knowledge transfer into the knowledge database and creating application for its use within the Windows, Web and Android platforms. Beside the working out the product itself it also provides instructions for others who are interested in preparing similar applications and topic for the future development of the already prepared tool.
Conceptual Structures As a Tool for Knowledge Representation

(in English): Conceptual graphs are a formal knowledge representation language introduced by John F. Sowa, an American specialist on Artificial Intelligence, at the end of the seventies. They are the synthesis of heuristic and formalistic approach to Artificial Intelligence and knowledge procession. They provide meaning and knowledge in form, which is logically precise, human- readable and untestable, and it is applicable in the computing domain in general. Conceptual graphs can be expressed through a first-order logic, which makes them a quality tool for intelligent reasoning. Their notation CGIF was standardised by norm ISO/IEC 24707:2007 as one of the three dialects of Common logic, which frames the set of logic based on logic. Conceptual graphs are also mappable to knowledge representation languages standardised for the Semantic Web; OWL and RDF (S). This work introduces the conceptual graph theory in the context of scientific fields like linguistics, logic and artificial intelligence. It represents the formalism proposed by John F. Sowa and some extensions that have emerged over the past decades, along with the need for improvements to the representational properties of graphs. Agent for playing Texas Hold'em poker

Main purpose of this thesis is to create agent for playing Texas Hold'em poker, which will be easily extensible by new inputs, outputs and game strategies. We present this firstly on input based on image recognition of client of chosen online poker site, secondly on simple game strategy based on expert system. Main working algorithm of agent will be encapsulated in single object and will run in separate thread. This will allow us to easily incorporate and manage agent from another programs, example way of managing and setting is presented on simple graphical application. This master thesis deals with the topic of expert systems in the military. In the first part, expert systems are described in general focusing on the theoretical aspects. The creation, types, structure, architecture, advantages, disadvantages and history of expert systems and knowledge acquisition are described. The next part of the thesis deals with the specific military and security (defence) applications of expert systems. There are descriptions of applications from Ground forces (ADRIES, ESROC, KBGIS, PRIDE, TED systems), Air forces (AIRID, LES, TATR), NAVY (systems BATTLE, SIAMES systems), Joint forces (AI-EOD, CMES, GTEX, MBEES, MCTA, SEAT SEC systems) and security areas (EPS-APES, DOC - EXPLOIT, FRIEND - FOE / FIRE DECISION systems). A more detailed description of ADRIES, BATTLE, KBGIS a FRIEND - FOE DETECTION / FIRE DECISION expert systems is included in the final part of the thesis.

There was compiled an overview of mechanical equipment from top manufacturers of machinery for maintenance and processing of permanent grassland. Návrh metody výběru nejvhodnější lokality pro logistický objekt

The thesis deals with the method layout of choosing the most suitable locality for a logistical entity. Regarding the difficulties of multicriterion decison process, when quantitative and qualitative criterions enter to the decision-making, and regarding the fact, that for optimalization of quantitative criterions exist many well accessible instruments, the aim of this thesis is the layout of a new model, which will evaluate only qualitative criterions in chosen localities. Submitted model is based on the expert system's principle and it compile through statistical enquiry empirical knowledge of more than 110 experts -- logistical managers, who evaluated localities for logistical entities during their praxis. Integral part of an expert system, knowledge base, contains 57 characteristics divided into six groups, which enable evaluation of the locality appropriateness for the logistical entity. Consequently, the expert system is capable to compare particular variants and to vizualize the classification. The proposed method represents a subsidiary deciding instrument while solving strategic problems in company development and it facilitates objective decision-making about suitable location of logistical entity. In the thesis a case study is processed. This case study assesses 3 localities, where centres of University forest enterprise Křtiny are situated.
