Flow rate measurement
Chudý, Dávid ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Himr, Daniel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis systematically introduces the most frequently used flowmeters with emphasis on the source of measurement uncertainty. In the practical part, the clamp on ultrasonic flowmeter from FUJI ELECTRIC was used in laboratory flow measurement. The aim of the experiment was to determine the effect of the input value error on the resulting flow. The combined standard uncertainty for one flow was also determined, including the most significant sources of inaccuracy. These are the uncertainty of the pipe diameter measurement and the meter error specified by the manufacturer. The data measurement processing led to the conclusions as stated in the manual by the manufacturer.

Boulová, Kristýna ; Páchová, Anna (advisor) ; Franke, Helena (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes and discusses error in teaching from the point of view of pupils and teachers of the 2nd grade of primary school. It is divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part clarifies topics related to the definition and role of error in the learning process from the perspective of pedagogical didactics and psychology. The following chapters are devoted to error management based on Czech and foreign researches and the theory of feedback. Last but not least, there are presented professional and personal specifics of the participants in the educational process, which may take a part in the perception of error in school. The empirical part contains a description of the research, which primary goal was to map the concept of error in teaching according to the pupils and teachers of the 2nd grade of primary school. The research sample consists of 6 pupils and 5 teachers. Based on the analysis of the data from semi-structured interviews, the main and partial research questions of the study were answered. Error in criminal law
English as a Lingua Franca in the Context of the Czech Educational System
Kadlecová, Hana ; Matuchová, Klára (advisor) ; Červinková Poesová, Kristýna (referee)
Despite the predominance of English used by non-native speakers in international communication, the approach to teaching this language is still centred on the notion of acquiring English for the purpose of communication with native speakers. This thesis argues for acknowledgement of English as a lingua franca in the approach to teaching English. It also stresses the necessity of further investigations into the global use of English to better understand this phenomenon. A questionnaire was conducted with ten English teachers to see their opinions about some of the key issues of English as a lingua franca (for instance the concept of nativeness, the role of a teacher and the understanding of an error). As a result, it was found that despite some slow changes in individual opinions, the traditional view on teaching English is still prevalent. Both the theoretical research and the analysis of the questionnaire stress the need of implementing the concept of English as a lingua franca into teaching English as it is necessary to prepare students for the reality of global use of this language. Key words: English as a lingua franca, second language acquisition, nativeness, error, variation
The Correlation between the Speed of the Source Speech and Simultaneous Interpreter's Performance.
Moravcová, Dagmar ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor) ; Sládková, Miroslava (referee)
The purpose of the present thesis is to look into the correlation between the speed of the source speech and simultaneous interpreter's performance between Czech and French from the perspective of the French listeners of the source speeches in French, of two groups of interpreters (students and professionals) and of the listeners of the speeches interpreted into Czech. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the empirical part. The theoretical part outlines Daniel Gile's Effort Model and than focuses on the delivery rate of the source speech and on various theoretical approaches of different scholars, on the errors occured in the process of simultaneous interpreting, on intrepretation strategies and on the quality of interpretation. The empirical part describes the research method, the experiment itself and the results of the experiment which focuses both on the number of occurences of different interpretation stategies in relation to the source speech delivery rate and on the number of occurences of various error categories depending on the speed of the quasi-authentic source speeches. The empirical part examines the differences between the performance of the students and of the interpreters. Their performance is then assessed by the Czech listeners. Keywords simultaneous interpretation,...

Klinka, Tomáš ; Fenclová, Marie (advisor) ; Kovářová, Dominika (referee) ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee)
Title: Error in the point of view of the French as a second foreign language in the lower secondary school context Author: Mgr. Tomáš Klinka Department: Department of Pedagogy Supervisor: Doc. PhDr. Marie Fenclová, CSc. Abstract: This thesis focuses on the subject of error in the context of Czech lower secondary school and second foreign language (L3) instruction. This work has three purposes: first, to complete the basic literature in this domain using the publications issued from the French speaking world of educational research that are not quoted in the Czech academic field. Second, to analyze how the elements that intervene in the pedagogical process treat the question of error, and third, using the conclusions obtained, to make explicit the problems which pose the present treatment of the question of error and to indicate the direction of a future research in this domain. So as to attain the first goal, we propose and comment the work of some French specialists in the field of educational science and their conclusions, mainly the typology of errors created by Astolfi. As for the second goal, our thesis provides an analysis of the official regulations concerning teaching and learning in the Czech Republic, exposes the mental representations of error with which both students and teachers...
