World maritime shipping at the beginning of 21. Century
Bubnová, Kateřina ; Romancov, Michael (advisor) ; Kučerová, Irah (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the world's maritime trade at the beginning of the 21st century. This thesis deals with the development during the 19th and 20th centuries from the point of view of progress, which influenced the modernization and progress in this area, the 20th and 21st century from the economic point of view, how the volume of goods transported changed. Segmenting cargo vessels is another important chapter, splitting into groups and subgroups, allows a better view of types of merchant ships. It also examines international organizations that are very important for determining and adhering to the rules. The chapter on Maritime Policy deals with environmental policy, balancing the goals of sustainable development and economic objectives of countries. The second part of the chapter deals with the issue of maritime piracy, which greatly hinders maritime trade. It focuses more on Somali piracy, although it is not currently the main danger area, so it has its own specifics. The last part deals with the most important ports as the basic components of maritime trade. Navy trails are linked to the New Silk Road, a project of the People's Republic of China, which could change the sea routes, considering new ports.

The Comparison of Theoretical Approaches to the Environmental Protection and Their Application on the Problem of Water Allocation
Uvedené tři ekonomicko-teoretické směry v současné době představují hlavní paradigmata v rámci ekonomie životního prostředí a soupeří o míru vlivu na ekologickou politiku jednotlivých států či nadnárodních organizací. Jelikož tyto směry dochází k diametrálně odlišným doporučením ohledně preferovaných režimů správy přírodních zdrojů (státní, komunitní či soukromé vlastnictví), je cílem komparace nalézt prvky pro možný společný postup či naopak identifikovat příčiny hlavních odlišností. Ucelené srovnání všech tří ekonomicko-teoretických směrů nebylo doposud provedeno, což vede k izolovanému vývoji všech tří sledovaných paradigmat.
The Analysis of the Concept of the Environmental Kuznets Curve
Kollertová, Petra ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
The environmental protection is often in conflict with catching up the highest economic level of the country. In some developed countries the higher economic level means also the higher pollution of the environment. Indeed, this is applied only till one point -- the turning point -- from which the trend is applied vice-versa, the higher the economic prosperity of the country, the lower the pollution of the environment. This phenomenon is in environmental economics called the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC). Diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the EKC, from detailed description of the theoretic and econometric framework, factors influencing the EKC, to crucial studies which were published in this area of economics. In connection with the factors influencing EKC the thesis underline the important role of the environmental regulation and state or international ecologic policy, which the work is dealing in initiate part with. The aim of the work is to analyze if the EKC hypothesis is valid in reality or not. Furthermore the diploma thesis targets also the situation of the developing countries -- if they have to go through the same path as nowadays developed countries or if they on the contrary use their experiences.
Trade Emission in Practice
